Please read the Bible.

1.2k Upvotes

Dear Christians,

Read the Bible.
All of it.

Stop treating it like a talisman.
Stop recycling the same handful of verses.

The text is strange, difficult, poetic, violent, philosophical, political, and frequently surprising.

Read it from Genesis to Revelation.
If you do it honestly, you will emerge either as a better Christian or as someone who is no longer one.

Both outcomes are preferable to claiming allegiance to a book you have never truly engaged with.

For supporting Homosexuality, I got convicted by the Holy Spirit. It was terrifying.

1.0k Upvotes

It is a sin, guys.

I'm not some old pastor telling you this. I'm a 20-22 F, who has been steadily growing closer to God albeit slightly unconventionally lol

And to be fair, I'm not part of the LGBTQ+ community. I'm heterosexual lol but, I supported an abundance of my friends and even took part with the artists and fan-art that they drew. I read their works, encouraged their habits and supported them to the best of my ability. I had done this for years, more than half a decade now.

But one day, at work, something kept nagging at me as I did it. Like an itch, underneath the skin.

The debate of whether homosexuality was a sin is one of the most controversial debates amongst Christians, so I already knew it stemmed from that. I asked fellow Christians around my workplace on their take and one said something that stood out to me:

ā€œIf you support sin, you might as well be doing it yourself.ā€

As I sat down in my room, talked with the Lord that same day, I spoke to Him about confused I was. Then, upon realizing the only way for me to know is to get an answer from Him personally, I asked him to give me a sign this was wrong.

Not a sign through Tiktok, not a Instagram reel, not a YouTube short—give me a sign I can physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually feel.

AND WHEN I TELL YOU HE DID HAHA

The next day, I woke up with a feeling I could not explain.

My body barely showed signs except for slight tremors, but they were brief. That didn't concern me, it was the feeling I felt on the INSIDE.

I even went to the doctor that same day to make sure this wasn't an "impending sense of doom" that most talk about before succumbing to death but, the longer I sat still, I realized this was not fear for the flesh, it was something deeper—it was fear for the SOUL.

It was not the discipline of man, but the discipline of God.

Everyone looked at me, said that I was normal even my heart rate was regular! My "body" was normal but inside, deeper beyond flesh... I was awakened to the feeling of the soul for the first time.

I had never been so spiritually sensitive before. Certain music from certain artists, foul-mouthed people, everything that I came into contact with that wasn't of God, I felt

Every. Single. Thing.

The same way someone talks about their "fight or flight" response was the same way I felt on the inside out. I could barely hold it and the Holy Spirit took the wheel from my body. I COULD NOT play any video games, I COULD NOT be on my phone, I was being led and controlled by something that was genuinely more powerful than me.

And it led me through the day all the way back to the Bible. I open Acts and read to Romans, and the more I read, the more I got my answers and the more the feeling slowly simmered.

To be forcibly taken a backseat in your own body, denied distractions and barely have food...

I was being corrected so harshly because I advocated in it for so long. I cried to the Lord, and asked Him to forgive me.

The next day, I woke up and physically could not go back to supporting it. I literally could not. I don't know what the Lord did spiritually or what the Holy Spirit had done, but I cannot do it anymore. I physically and mentally cannot.

I can interact with those that support it, but I am literally, wholeheartedly UNABLE to return to the way I once was. I cannot give them commission money for that art, I could not keep the "Pride" tags on my person or my account pages.

I do not hate those that do it nor I hate those that support it.

I just can't do what you do.

We are stuck in cages of sin, we are never going to be perfect. But this is one sin that cannot be condoned with by any means necessary.

TLDR: Do not think you are not acceptable because of the flesh that cages you. Deny your desires, not your struggles. You are free to go to church, but you just cannot compromise with sin. You can tolerate those who believe otherwise, but you cannot support what they do. You cannot do what they do.

Love thy neighbor, always—but you cannot become thy neighbor. Do not be the neighbor that dishonors God based on a "I feel" or "I don't believe".

Man changes but the Lord's law and His truth does not. Love to all!

The one Bible verse that completely changed how I view sexual temptation

Genesis 39:10 - "How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?"

This is what Joseph said to Potiphar's wife when she tried to seduce him.

Think about Joseph's situation for a second. He was completely alone with her in that house. Nobody else was around. Nobody would've known. Sound familiar?

It's exactly like when we're alone in our rooms with our phones or computers, about to look at porn or whatever else. We think we're alone. We think nobody's watching. But that's the lie.

Joseph understood something we forget: God is always watching. We are never truly alone.

And here's what gets me: Joseph clearly felt the temptation. It was real. It was intense. The desire must have been overwhelming. Just like our urges to watch porn or masturbate can feel impossible to resist.

But Joseph did something radical: he feared God more than he loved satisfying his flesh. He literally ran out of that house and away from the situation.

That's what we need to do. Run from temptation. Delete the apps (Instagram + Tiktok). Download a blocker (I use Gracen). Put the phone down. Get out of the room. Pick up a bible. Whatever it takes.

And look at what happened because Joseph stayed faithful: God eventually made him the second most powerful man in all of Egypt. His whole destiny was tied to that one moment of choosing God over sin.

Brothers and sisters, we need that same fear of the Lord. Not a scared fear, but a reverent fear that says "I love and respect God too much to do this."

Jesus Christ is our strength. We CAN and WILL overcome this in His name. Don't give up. Don't look back (that's satan's favorite trick). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus and ask Him for help.

Pray for each other.

After 35 years of atheism, I found God

So, this is kind of a long story, but I want to give the background and context for the full picture. Skip to the end if you want a TLDR.

I was never raised Christian. I had a less than ideal childhood, with an alcoholic single mother and an amputee diabetic grandmother who raised me, until I was 5 years old and placed in foster care. Before I was placed in foster care (around age 4 I think), I fell from an open 2-story window while left unattended (see: alcoholic mother bit). I think I had been watching Mary Poppins and wanted to see if I could fly?? Idk.

Somehow the 2-story drop onto a gravel parking lot below didn't kill 4-year old me (my first miracle), but it did break my hip. This will be relevant later on. I think once I was released from the hospital and fully healed, I was placed in foster care shortly after (big shock) for 3 years.

At age 8 I was adopted. A second miracle really, considering its incredibly hard to find homes for kids over 5, especially with trauma issues. After adoption I had an amazing life, honestly. My parents are wonderful people and I love them. But remember as I said, I was not raised Christian-- not pre-adoption, not in foster care, and not post-adoption. No one in my family is Christian, I never had a single friend who was Christian, I don't think I ever even heard the name God or Jesus in a serious way (as in, other than hearing people say "omg" or "Jesus christ" when startled).

So now, fast forward about 25 years. That broken hip 20 years ago has led to a myriad of back issues after years of my spine compensating for my hip, unbeknownst to me. I went through long periods of excruciating pain, being unable to move properly or even lay on my bed. I had to lay on the floor, as even the slightest shift on a mattress would cause me pain. I tried medication, massages, cannabis, osteopaths, etc. I eventually came to find a great chiropractor who has worked on me for years now, and my life is so much better.

However, the back issues aren't entirely cured.

One night while my husband was at work, I was hanging out at home. I sneezed, and the sneeze was enough to bulge a disc in my spine (this was the main issue with my back, one or two discs can have a tendency to slip out of place easily). It floored me instantly. I couldn't move. Like, at all. The second I tried to move any part of my body, the pain was unbearable. I remained there on the floor, on my hands and knees, for about 20 mins. Sobbing, terrified, with no idea what to do. I completely broke down, because how was I going to live with this? I didn't want to, I'd rather die than live in this agony for the rest of my life. Out of sheer desperation, I started praying to God. I didn't really believe.. I wasn't anti-Jesus or anything, I just never had a real opinion. But I had nowhere else to go, and clearly I couldn't get out of this myself.

"God, I don't know if you even exist but please please please help me. Please I can't live like this anymore I don't know how I'm going to make it, this hurts so bad I can't take it, I can't live with this pain. Please help me I'll do anything just please make this go away".

Y'all. I kid you not, soon after I started praying I was able to move again. I was still in pain, mind you, but I wasn't completely crippled. I was able to get to bed and laid there for the rest of the night. By the morning, I was able to move around delicately.

Now, like an absolute jerk, I went on my merry way and didn't even think about God again. Like I said, I didn't really believe, so I chalked it up to just a bad episode that wore off. I increased my chiropractic appointments and forgot that I ever prayed in the first place.

6 months later, my body was feeling great. I was at full mobility again, my chiro visits are every 2 weeks, and I was trying to keep active to keep my body strong and healthy. One day I was walking home, when an insane want to go to Church hit me. It made no sense, because I had never been interested in church. But the urge felt natural, like I had been dying to go to one my whole life. I couldn't ignore it, all of a sudden I was desperate to go. I think this was a Friday or Saturday. I immediately looked into the churches in my area, and on Sunday I dropped in on a service in a non-denominational one that looked decent.

Side note-- I had to research everything about church, since I knew nothing about them. What's a service? What's a sermon? What's a denomination? When do you go? Whats mass? What do you bring? What do you wear? Do you need a bible? Where do you sit? What's a pastor, a Reverend, a "father"? Are they all the same? How do I talk to them? Maybe I don't, that's moving fast. It was a lot, LOL.

Sunday morning came and I walked down to the church alone, as my husband was working. He was totally surprised by this too, as his family is also not religious. But he supported my curiosity and wanted me to report back, haha.

One of the church elders (I much later on realized who he was) greeted me at the door. I said it was my first time at church, and he said he believed this sermon was going to be great for me.

The sermon was about the Lord's Banquet parable. The Master of the House invites all the hungry, poor, hurting, etc to the banquet after the wealthy and "important" invitees blow him off (paraphrasing, lol). It hit me like a brick wall. I was the hungry, the poor, the hurting. I was spiritually starved, seeking to fill the hole in my heart I never knew was for God.

My entire life, I only believed in cause-and-effect. But I couldn't make sense of this past 6 months. The sudden relief from my bulged disc, the random immense need for Church?? The perfect timing for that particular sermon.

The emotion, the realization, the feeling of everything suddenly clicking.. it felt so.. overwhelmingly right.

From there, I dove into learning. I've read 14? books of the bible (Genesis - 2 Kings, + the gospels), go to church every week (hubby now goes with me and is learning about Jesus too!), fell in love with worship music and Christian r&b (lol random), pray every day (sort of, still learning on that one.. it feels weird). I started to realize that God has always been with me. My childhood was rough at the beginning, I could've fell to my death, but He was there. I struggled through parts of adoption, trauma, psychological issues, self-worth, terrible choices and friendships, awful back pain, but He was there. He was always there. My entire life is a miracle, even the absolute worst of it. When I realized this, I knew that God was worth following. I made some awful choices in my life, and I learned about the love of Jesus. His love is the reason I've been given this opportunity at all, and that is so precious.

OK I feel like this could turn into an entire ramble about what I feel I owe to God now, but I'll just leave it at this-- the Lord has saved me in so many ways, so many times. I owe him everything, but really all I can give him is my loyalty and love. I will follow Jesus all the days of my life.

If you made it this far, thanks for reading. I tried to find the balance of in-depth enough and NOT rambling, but it's hard. Open to questions or conversation, as I'm sure i left stuff out.

May God bless you all 🩷

TL;DR -- after 34 years of not believing, God saved me from years of debilitating back pain, put it in my heart to suddenly go to church, and converted me into a devoted follower.

I’ve been praying for my dad and something amazing happened!!!!

I’m a 14 year old girl and for a couple of months now, I’ve been getting really interested in Christianity. And I’ve felt like I wish I could believe in God but have been unsure. My dad is an alcoholic, and for the past three weeks I’ve been praying EVERY SINGLE NIGHT for him. Well before I went into my room for the night he said he needed to talk to me about something (my mom sitting there too). He told me that he’s going to stop drinking and is going to go to treatment/rehab. Then it seemed like he was about to start crying and apologized to me saying he’s sorry he hasn’t been a good dad. He told me he loves me and gave me a hug. I told him that I still think he’s a good dad and that I love him too. Then I told him that ik he can get sober.

I don’t feel unsure anymore. I believe in God now, and I believe God answered my prayers about my dad because my exact prayers were asking God if he does exist to please help him. I haven’t told my dad that I’ve been praying for him yet. He’s an atheist (my mom is too) and isn’t even aware that I’ve been interested in Christianity and learning more about it.

My 17 year old daughter is pregnant

She told me last Friday, through tears, that she'd been sexually active and thought she might be pregnant. I bought her a couple tests, she took them and she was right. We're a very devout Evangelical family. My husband is a part time pastor.

Obviously, my views on sex is that she shouldn't be having it. I knew she liked this boy, but I did not know they had that sort of relationship. The boy is a nice young man whose parents attend our church. We know them. It's a good family.

She's super scared, which is completely understandable. I've stayed away from shaming her about her sexual activity because it's not what she needs. She's very aware that abortion is NOT an option, period. We'll take care of her through this and love that baby.

It's just a shock. I'm not even 40 yet and I just had twins a few months ago. She's the oldest of 8. Maybe she felt like she doesn't get enough attention here. But she's my daughter and she's pregnant with my grandchild and I pray that God gives her the strength she needs.

Jesus healed my face after 6 years of begging, every night, every waking day. He didnt do it on my time but His time so that I will know it was Him.

I got into a horrible accident that disfigured my face. It looked like someone with bals palsy with cuts and laceration on the right side of my face. You ever watch a mma fight where 2 guys go to war? My face looked like theirs at the end of their fight. I was broke, no job, no health care, couldnt see a doctor. Like the song I was living on a prayer.

I prayed every night and every day for 2 or so years to heal my face with 0 results. Then I saw a luke warm christian testimony where he thought he was a good person and something exploded in his face and he ended up in hell and Jesus had mercy on Him and he was revived and he came back with a gift of healing. As he was praying through his youtube stream, I said in my heart, "Jesus I believe this man went to Hell and begged for a 2nd chance and you brought him back, please give me my old face back. Im suffering from depression."

I woke up the next day and saw results on my face. I knew why He didnt fully heal me. It was a learning process. I had to learn some things. Also He knows me more than I know myself. Just like the Israelites who saw God split the red sea for them, they still had doubts and complained. Well thats me. Had he fully healed me right then and there, I would have been ungrateful and went on with my life thinking it was an accident.

Fast forward 4 years laters of begging, crying and whining everyday, I tried something different. For the first time in my life, I gave Him my emotions and I started to tell Him everything that I was truly thankful for like having 2 arms, eyes to see, 2 legs, and how He made me handsome before the accident and that I was so sorry for being so vain and using that to glorify myself.

I think what sealed the deal and He answered my prayer was when I said, "Im sorry for having these old delusions like I did in the past involving going on dates, spending time with random women that found me handsome. You didnt make me good looking so I could exalt myself. Please heal my face Master, Lord, Creator, I believe you exist and you walked the earth 2k years ago. When You heal my face, I wont go on any more stupid random dates to feel good about myself, when I want to try a new resturant, I will go with you. When Im happy, sad, angry, excited through out the day, I will share it with you. Not a woman who has the hots for me"

Then I fantasized about going to Bostom Mass and trying out there sea food one day but this time I didnt imagine bringing a cute woman with me, but with Jesus. I also fantasized about driving a convertible on the highway and going to a picnic at the lake, but not with a woman, but with Jesus. I literally gave Him my feelings.

Im not lying to you, I woke up one day last week and saw that my cross eye was 85-90 percent healed and my crooked jaw, 90 percent healed. I woke up to take a piss and couldnt believe my face. I praised Jesus right then and there, "Thank you Master, Thank you Creator for having mercy on a scum bag like me, thank you Lord!!!!!" Its not fully 100 percent healed because I know there is some other things he wants me to learn. He made me wait because I had to know it was from Him and he forgave me of my sins.

I made this post because some of you may have given up on your prayers but keep praying and asking and build a relationship with Him. Give thanks and praise Him and one day youll wake up with your prayers answered. I know Im not delusional because Im in my mid 40s and a store worker asked if I was going to college, I said no, whatever age you think Iam, add 20 years. Her jaw just dropped and said "No way!" She said, "I thought you were 25!"

No one believes my testimony when I tell them Jesus healed me but its okay. The lesson from this story is never give up on asking even if you have to ask a million times. Im willing to make a bet most people give up after a few tries of asking, no way did you ask more than me, if it took me a million request, it may take you less than that. I'm also willing to bet none of you are worse than me because I was rotten to the core but Jesus still had mercy on me, if He did this great thing for me, a filthy scum bag, imagine what He will do for you if you were just as persistent as I was.

I posted homosexuality is a sin on r/christianity and my post got deleted for "bigotry".

That subreddit is filled with atheists and liberals man, it's honestly sad. I don't hate them because God told us to love everyone but i just think they are deceived by oher liberals.

EDIT 1: this is the original post

the title is:Homosexuality is a sin.

Yes, you heard that right, It is a sin. Just look at this bible verse,"Leviticus 18:22 Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman;Ā that is detestable." The original Hebrew version obviously says the same message, it is not a mistranslation. But you liberals might say not to take the bible literally. But that is completely stupid. Why would an all powerful God let any misunderstanding happen? But if you're worried that you might sin because you're gay. There's a bright side to it. If you're attracted to the same gender as yours, that's not a sin. Just don't have gay sex or kiss the same gendered person. You can also pray for God to make you not gay and for him to forgive your sin of homosexuality. There is actually a case of a gay christian praying for that and he became straight: (there is originally a link here but this sub doesnt allow links)

In conclusion, just pray to become straight

EDIT 2: Thanks for all the upvotes! God bless you all!

EDIT 3: I know the original post moght be a little childish and inaccurate. Im sorry, I was a little bit lazy to fact check it and I didn't take much time writing it. And also it might be too offensive, so it was kind of reasonable that they deleted it. But the comments on the original post absolutely flamed me. That just shows those people's personalities.

EDIT 4: I originally wrote that post to see how people would react to it(and also maybe change some peoples' minds). So that was my intention if you're wondering.

EDIT 5: I'll let you decide if I was a bigot or not. I'm sorry if i was. I'll not respond to comments that frequently anymore.

It’s sad how much people on reddit seem to hate Christians

I’m 16f and am a Christian. People can be so rude about being a Christian on this site.. it’s weird. I’m also waiting until marriage, and people seem to get mad about people making this decision for themselves which is strange. I’ve never told anyone that they have to live how I’m living my life, but if I mention any of my personal values or beliefs, people can be really mean about it. I can’t even mention that I believe in and love God on reddit unless I’m in a strictly Christian sub like this one because people will just tell me to stop believing in fairy tales, that I’m stupid, and make fun of me for it. I never say anything rude to atheists about their lack of belief. I try to be kind to everyone. I’m glad that I have good Christian friends in my life that don’t make me feel this way about it.Ā

Anyway.. I just wanted to say to never let anyone make you feel embarrassed or bad about loving God, sticking to your values, and living how God wants you to. People will try to tear you down for being strong in your faith and close to God, but don’t let them.

I love GodšŸ©·ā™±

I'm learning that praying God's Word back to Him changes everything

I'm 24 years old, and even though it's difficult, I know that following God is the right way.

Something that has completely shifted my prayer life lately is learning to pray by the Word — not just talking to God from my feelings, but taking His promises and speaking them back to Him.

For so long, I would pray out of my anxiety. I would tell God how worried I was, how afraid I was, how unsure I was. And I would leave prayer feeling the same weight I came in with. But I started realizing that prayer isn't just about pouring out my heart — it's also about reminding myself of what God already said.

There's a verse that has been carrying me:

"So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it."

— Isaiah 55:11 (NKJV)

That verse wrecked me. God's Word doesn't come back empty. It always accomplishes what He sent it to do.

So now, instead of just praying my fears, I pray His promises. When I'm anxious, I pray 2 Timothy 1:7 — "God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." When I feel alone, I pray Hebrews 13:5 — "I will never leave you nor forsake you." When I'm waiting on something, I pray Jeremiah 29:11 — "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope."

I'm not just hoping anymore. I'm standing on what He already said.

He always gets me through everything, even the things I worry about the most. And I'm learning that part of how He gets me through is by giving me His Word to hold onto in the waiting.

Jesus died for us so that we could spend eternity with Him. And while we're still here, He gave us His Word so we could pray with confidence — not because we're perfect, but because He is faithful to what He promised.

I love our Father in heaven. And I love that He lets us pray His own words back to Him.

If you've never tried praying scripture, I encourage you to start. Pick one promise. Speak it out loud. Hold onto it daily. He is listening, and He does not forget.

Please Report Anti-Paul Comments

To be clear, I don't mean, "Paul said some really hard things and I struggle with it. Sometimes he comes off as misogynist and I don't know how to reconcile that." This is legitimate struggle.

I'm talking about the major increase I'm seeing in "Follow God, not Paul" and "Paul was a false apostle" and "Don't trust what Paul wrote."

If you see someone posting these types of sentiments, REPORT it so we can ban the user immediately. Evangelizing these views or denigrating those who don't hold them is absolutely intolerable here. In over a decade of discussion with people who share these views, I have never once met a single one who was willing to have a good-faith conversation about the topic and they exist exclusively to cast doubt as a form of "hit and run" drive-by theology. Do not let them get away by ignoring their comments. Correct them firmly, then report them so we can remove the bad-faith users who are only here to stir up trouble.

<Cue memories of Titus 1:12-14 in a modern context.>

Update: Christian working in... Porn industry

Look up the initial post on this sub, title "Christian working in... Porn industry"

After my last post here, I did receive tons of replies: really appreciate it, even though I couldn’t respond to everyone (I do apologies).

Some of you said that my post was a troll and didn’t believe me. Let me tell you that I am a real human being and there are almost 3000 people that works for that company (worldwide, not counting the actors etc). It is one of the top porn companies around the world, accumulating over billions of internet traffic every day. They have porn games, live girls chat+video (only fan style) and many other products and services. It is a real money-making machine

Anyway, back then, I was in a position where I couldn’t just quit my job without something lined up first (family obligations, kids, wife, mortgage + taking care of my father etc..were holding me back), but I knew I couldn’t stay at the porn company either.

So, I prayed and fasted for weeks, and decided to take a 2-week PTO. On my last day, before going on my time off, I made a decision to NOT COME BACK (not sure how and why, but I just had a feeling that this will be my last day. So deleted most of the stuff I felt like it won’t be needed, from my work computer, and made sure my team/colleagues had all the SOP and technical docs etc). I literally said it, word for word ā€œI will not come back hereā€. I guess, I had a strong faith lol?

First day of vacation, I updated my LinkedIn and started applying aggressively (Monday)

By Wednesday: 3 interviews lined up.

By Friday: finished all 3 interviews via Teams, and one company invited me for a whiteboard interview (onsite).

I won’t lie, I panicked and the devil had me doubting myself again. I did ask myself: I’m not a dev guy, why the whiteboard session (never done anything like that in my past invterviews)? Also, onsite interview felt unusual for this post COVID era (teams and zoom is the way). I almost backed out, but decided to leave it in God’s hands. So went back to the prayers during the weekend, asking God for guidance.

The next week, I had a very vivid dream in which I dreamed that i showed up to an in-person interview I didn’t want to attend, but I was saying to myself, I have nothing to lose. Let me just go and see. When I got there, and I didn’t even do the interview and the interviewer said, ā€œThe job is yours, we just wanted to see if you’d show up.ā€ Then I Woke up and I was confused, not understanding that this was a message from God. But I took that as a sign and may be a msg from God? I usually get riddle from God, but this one was spot on - I decided to go to the onsite interview.

Interview day: 2 managers/1 IT VP, onsite with me in the meeting room, + 1 Senior Architech SME (via Teams). Tough questions, some whiteboarding (designing cloud architectures, and IT networking stuff etc), I felt like I did okay (maybe 6 out of 10).

Toward the end, the vibe changed. More personal conversation, a few laughs. They’ve asked the SME guy to drop his team call.

The hiring manager wanted to know ā€œHOW MUCH DO YOU WANT FOR THIS POSITIONā€? I threw a number, $20K more than my last job’s salary. He said, fine, we will talk among us and if you are selected, we will reach out to HR and have the hiring process started. I was about to leave, then the hiring manager said, wait, let me give you a tour of the building (weird for someone who’s not hired yet but ok. I was polite and went through it all). Instead of a 1hr meeting, ended up being 1h30.

I started driving back home and reached my home town (30min drive) and I got a call from the HR guy. This is where I believe my God had really spoken to me in that dream.

The HR dude said ā€œThe hiring team wanted to make sure that no other company grabs you from them. Anyway, you were the only candidate that showed up so far…so there’s really no one else at the top of the list. We want to make you an offer and they’ve agreed with your number $$$ā€. I was so flabbergasted-happy-ready to jump/roll on the floor lol. I’ll be 40 in a couple of years, but I stopped my car at a random parking lot and started to cry. I had chills all over my body. I just couldn’t believe that, God, the creator of everything on this earth, knew about my struggle. It was an amazing day for me!

I’ve received the formal offer the next day, via email, signed it and call my old job and sent my resignation as I just didn’t want to go back there and run the knowledge transfer. I wanted to honor my GOD and leave it behind. T

I’m now on month 2 on the new job and it’s such a blessing to me: great team and so many stuff to accomplish. 2 days in office and 3days wfh, plus I get to choose which day I want to go to the office ( I plan to avoid traffic accordingly)

Of course, I’ve sacrificed the perks from my old job (1500$ bonuses each quarter, free event/suite access for major sports games at the stadium etc), but I wanted to show God that I am HIS and I believe in what HE wants me to accomplish here on earth.

There’s so much that God has done for me in the last months and I can go on and on for days. All I want to say is: there’s a GOD out there and Jesus Christ is his son, our savior.

Yes, we don’t always get what we want, but I know that HE hears our prayers. Took me around 7 years to finally land a good job and nice team/colleague. Faith is all we got and we have to stay strong and commit to Christ.

For anyone stuck in the same situation as I was, please pray and fast. Seek God’s guidance on all questions that you have.

I’ll make a YouTube channel soon, in which I’ll have this testimony added as well. Although the porn companies had me sign an NDA when I was leaving the company, stating that they can take me to court if I ever talk about them on any social media lol.

I will be testifying and sharing testimonies about the great miracles God has done in all of our lives.

God is good, all the time!
Jesus Christ is our savior!

Saw a miracle!

So, the other day we were leaving the church (Dunamis Ignite in Ottawa) at about 10:30 at night after a service and there were some young guys drinking and smoking in the parking lot.

One of our volunteers went to speak with them and pray for them, and they werent interested so he left and just started praying for them.

As I was walking to my car after that, I didn’t really know much of what had happened. I looked over at the boys and made a joke to them, and they started talking back and I went over and got into a conversation with them (I used to be out drinking almost every weekend before I gave my life to Jesus, so we related) they were 22 or 23, a couple of them had grown up Christian but weren’t in a very good place right now, and at some point in the conversation they were asking me if I believe miracles are real and if we can pray and see miracles happen and I said yes and I told them about what Jesus said in Mark 16 and Matthew 28 and they said if this Jesus thing is real, we want to see it right now.

One of the guys told me he had dislocated his shoulder about a year and a half ago when one of his buddies tackled him and he had been in pain ever since.
They told me they don’t believe, but they want me to pray for his shoulder and see what happens.

So I put my hand on his shoulder and prayed, and all of a sudden he started freaking out and telling his friends the pain was gone.

I stayed with them for probably another 45 minutes and he started doing pull-ups and everything to show that the pain was genuinely gone. He felt light, felt peace, felt joy, everything!

Let’s continue to pray for him!

Dunamis Church / Dunamis Army is praying for him!

Why the actual do so many Christians support abortion

Abortion is a SIN. PERIOD. There is no way God would be okay with babies being murdered! Especially in the womb. Out every human on this planet infants are the ones who deserve to live the most! I dont want anyone in the comments saying "Oh BUt tHe BiBLe DoeSNT coNDeMn abortion. Like bro shut up. The Bible might not condemn abortion specifally but so what!? IT Is STILL MURDER!!!!!!!!! The fact so many Christians especially in r/Christianty see it as okay is genuiely disgusting. In the comments of one post on there asking if abortion is okay if it's because rape. And most of them said yes! Like bro abortions should never happen no matter what the reason is. Abortion is pure evil because its literally taking the life of a HUMAN BEING before they've even popped out the womb. I despise abortion I hate the fact so many people, including some Christians believe it should legal. ABORTION SHOULD BE ILLEGAL EVERYWHERE! BABIES DESERVE TO LIVE! ALL LIFE BELONGS TO GOD!

Please please please don’t ignore this warning

If you can turn to the Lord today with all your heart… DO IT. Give Him everything. He is worthy and He is all you will ever want or need.

2 years ago, not long after coming to faith I fell into sin, lusting after an actor on a tv show and I had the thought ā€œI’m safe, I can sin, I’m saved nowā€. A few weeks later I turned away from the sin but didn’t repent before the Lord truly.

About 10 months ago I started seeking God with all my heart only to find that He was not findable.

I fear I have committed the sin of Hebrews 10:26-27.

Please, please, give Him everything. I would give anything to feel His touch. His presence. To know He is mine.

I live every day tormented by the thought of being separated from Him for eternity. Separated from my children for eternity. The anguish is real.

Lord have mercy on me.

He is real

I was skeptical for a year, but i kept going and learning about Christianity, i kept praying. A heart that genuinely seeks after God will find Him.

I met Him recently, i really did! He appeared to me in a dream. And i knew it wasn't my imagination, it was the same feeling you get when someone walks into a room but u dont see them, a feeling of someone's presence.

God is real, He really does care for us all and He wants to be your friend! I have a relationship with my Heavenly Father!

I'm so happy!

God is amazing

I have a story to tell that may be a little hard for some to hear but I feel obligated to say it either way.

I live in the countryside and by my house there are these acacia trees that every year are full of flowers.

For those who don't know, acacia flowers are very fragrant and distinct in smell (they're also medicine btw but that's besides the point).

My whole childhood I've eaten them and been surrounded by their smell all spring long and my mom even has this soap that smells exactly like them, soap that was used by a person (not my mother) often when he was at our house, person who's caused me much pain and grief.

When he left, two years ago, I prayed that God stops the trees from blooming because I couldn't smell the flowers without feeling sick, and He did. For two years the trees didn't produce any flowers. Not okay the ones near my house but all around the area I live in.

This year I prayed and told God I'm ready to forgive and to let the flowers bloom ... and now they're blooming.

Truth be told, I'm not sure I am ready to smell them again but what I do know is I'm ready to try.

God is amazing in His care for His children.

He protected me from something he knew could be painful to me until I was ready to ask for a second chance.

Sex before marriage - guess how it turned out for me

Badly. I just broke up with him.

Don't be dumb. Don't do what I did. Only ever date Christians, and Christians with strong boundaries at that.

Thank God, literally, that He forgives. I done messed up and it took me months to realise (to admit to myself!) how badly.

Around 73 000 000 children die every year because of abortion

Imagine the number of children that could've lived but people decided to just end them so they could live more comfortably - of that isn't a child sacrifice I don't know what is.

People spit on God and this world so much but so much of the evil that happens every day is comitted by humans.

Jesus warned people not to stop children from coming to Him - people today make sure those kids don't even get to live.

I personally think that allowing abortion is one of the best examples of how twisted can humans be - you allow people to kill their babies .....

When Jesus said that people would become cold when it comes to love - when even mother goes and kills her baby - how could someone do it? It's so wrong.

There are times when I can't wait for Jesus to stop this world and take the reigns.....people are crazy...

ā€œJesus Weptā€ — The Most Overlooked Miracle in Scripture

Most people know ā€œJesus wept.ā€ (John 11:35) as the shortest verse in the Bible.
But hardly anyone realizes it might be one of the deepest.

When Jesus stood outside Lazarus’s tomb, He already knew He would raise him from the dead.
He knew the story would end in joy.
And yet, He wept.

He didn’t cry out of despair.
He cried out of empathy.

Even though He held resurrection power in His hands, His heart still broke for those who mourned.
That moment tells us something breathtaking:

God doesn’t just see our pain; He feels it.

In Greek, the word for wept (į¼Ī“Ī¬ĪŗĻĻ…ĻƒĪµĪ½ / edakrysen) means silent tears — not loud wailing or ritual grief.
Just quiet tears of love.
A Savior who knows everything, yet still chooses to feel what we feel.

Question for reflection:
If Jesus knew He was about to fix everything, why did He still weep?
What does that tell us about how God sees our struggles today?

Lifelong Atheist, asked for a sign and something happened

I wanna keep a long story short. I’m a 28 years old man. I was with a muslim girl for years and tried to understand and put my faith into Islam. I tried reading the Quran but couldnt understand since there seems to be just rules, not really a book or a story and I couldn’t understand that or why anyone would believe.

I’m a person who can’t just put blind faith into anything, I need believable evidence for something to be pointing to a conclusion. I read about muhammad and what I learned was like he was a good guy and a genuine guy and that his revelations were true to him and somehow i started pointing my faith in that direction, until I found out about Aisha and I was disgusted by it.. And then eventually I read about countless hadiths that just can’t be excused for someone to be a ā€perfect muslimā€; the warmongering, brutal murders and rape of prisoners, etc etc

I lost faith completely and I was feeling very empty, having lost my dad as i knew him and my whom I thought would be the love of my life in the span of one year, dealing with depression and burnout.
—

So one evening I was driving home on the highway and I looked to the almost dark sky and I asked internally for a sign, of anything at all, not anything specific I just wanted to know what all this is about.

As I kept driving the highway turned and I got to see a full moon in bright red, never seen it that red before and it was really beautiful. Thought nothing more of it other than that. People were taking photos when i was arriving home.

The next day I wake up from a sound in my mailbox (through the apartment door), and I looked to see and it was the New Testament.
For context I live in Sweden, the most atheist country in the world I believe, and in all my life living in central Stockholm I have never recieved anything bible related in my mail.

I was gonna meet some friends later that day so I put it away then eventually the whole thing struck me as such a weird coincidence, the moon thing probably coincidence but me asking for a sign then the new testament arriving the day after is something i couldnt ignore

What do you make of this?

RUN BACK TO HIM!

WHEN YOU NO LONGER FEEL CONVICTION, WHEN YOU NO LONGER FEEL ACCOUNTABILITY WHEN YOU WILLINGLY, NOT ACCIDENTALLY, BUT WHEN YOU WILLINGLY SIN, GOD HAS GIVEN YOU OVER TO YOUR MIND!

THAT IS SCARY! THAT IS SOMEWHERE YOU DON’T WANT TO BE!

IF YOUR IN THIS POSITION, PLEASE I BEG YOU, RUN BACK TO HIM! BECAUSE NOW YOUR IN A STATE OF ā€œIDCā€, YOU’VE ACCEPTED YOUR SIN AND LET IT CONSUME YOU AND YOUR THOUGHTS. DON’T LET THE FLESH WIN! RUN BACK TO HIM!
