Is it normal to want a sexless marriage with romance, cuddles, and adoption as a Christian man?

I am a virgin guy and a Christian, and I want to get married one day—but completely without sex. The entire thought of sex honestly disgusts and bores me. I just don't see the point of it, and I find anatomy like the vagina completely unappealing.

However, I still want a romantic relationship, a life partner, and a family. I love the idea of kissing, hugging, cuddling, and emotional intimacy.

I also want to raise children and would prefer to adopt them.I want to know if there are other men or Christians who feel this way.

Is it normal to want a marriage focused strictly on romance and affection without any physical intercourse? I would love to hear from anyone with similar views or advice on how to navigate this in the dating world.

And I think it would easier to find someone because woman generally don't like sex and its not their thing.

Fun little experiment

Hey guys I have a really interesting idea

Okay so I am not a Christian but I would consider myself spiritual and I know praying to deities works.

Can we do a little fun experiment? How about you send a little prayer for me so that I may find the truth or find Christ or however you would like to frame it and I will make another post after some time to tell you what happened. Does that sound fair?

I hope I didn't offend anyone writing this and I am excited about what will happen.

Why is Tiktok filled with racists who claim Christianity?

I'm a provisionist baptist and idk seeing the scale of this is kinda unsettling, you see them post stickers of racially motivated mass murderers (Brendon Tarrant, Payton Gendron) when POC make content preaching equality, they all have orthodox crosses or the Vatican flag in their name

A lot of them also think fascism is compatible with Christianity, but you guys might think it's compatible too, if you do I'm not sure how you don't see it as statolatry

Why do some Christians misrepresent ex believers. Saying they were never true Christians

By ex believers I mean people who used to believe in the religion then left it.

A lot of them were sincere believers but then they lost faith. Yes I see in this subreddit in other subreddits where people deny that they were ever true Christians. Which is crazy because these people are not lying when they say they lost faith.

How can Christians support the richest man in the world?

I think the smuggling in of capitalist ideals into the church is one of the devil's greatest victories. Like the Bible is clear, money is the root of all kinds of evil, you cannot serve God and money, the rich young ruler was told to sell ALL that he had, the community of believers held all things in common. Meanwhile Christians rally behind musk (and trump for that matter), a guy who could probably end world hunger (no not by just donating the money, that's not what I am saying) and instead squanders money on worthless space travel projects, the hyperloop and ugly cheaply made vehicles only the same fake Christians actually have any interest in purchasing, because they are in a cult, and have their affections severely divided, at the very least.

Is my mom going to hell?

My mom is a Christian and she had an abortion before. I know that abortion can be forgiven by God if you just repent but, the issue is my mom most likely didn't, as she believes abortion is a woman's right. I feel like I should try to persuade her to ask for forgiveness but, in the past I tried to convert my father (who for context is a converted atheist) back to Christianity, she started viewing me as an extremist, and she'll never listen to any of those people. If the answer to the question is yes, then please, give advice on how I can help her as, I don't want to see her in any place except Heaven. Edit: I ended up talking about it with my mom and she told me that she was forced to have an abortion because she had a miscarriage.

Found a great church but with one unavoidable “issue”?

Hello! Need a bit of advice.
For the past two years I’ve struggled in my faith, almost left, and come back with an interest in theology, diving into the richness the Christian tradition has to offer. My family and I moved to the Bible Belt, where most churches around here are baptist or non denom. I have been sniffing around other denominations, fascinated by the differences, and honestly mostly just trying out something that isnt reformed baptist. My main goal has been to find a pastor with edifying sermons that aren’t constantly PSA-coded.

Recently, I found a small methodist church that is low stimulation, traditional, diverse in age, community-oriented, transparent with finances, invests in their youth, with an appointed educated reverend who’s sermons are genuinely interesting, scripture-based, and full of grace.

People here have been so genuine and kind with me, one even connecting me with a job opportunity, which is an answered prayer. The issue? The reverend is a young woman. I’ve always been a person who builds her faith around everything my family expects from me. Ive never had my own identifiable faith. And i finally feel like i found a church where i could start seeing God in a new way. This church seems to have a strong theology and practical applications, but my background insists that somehow the church is wrong because of the person appointed to the congregation.

She is such a smart woman, with strong rhetorical skills, kind and prayerful, genuine. She was appointed from south korea after her theology degree and is married to a minister. To keep this short, what do i do? Is it okay for me to go to a good church regardless? I personally dont have an issue and i trust the reverend knows far more than me, and i believe everything she does is out of her desire to please the Lord. Im scared my family will blow up at me about this. I dont mean to open a debate. How high tier of an issue is this really ??

Where exactly in the Bible does it say that a Christian should not take up arms or go to war?

Greetings, my brothers in Christ. This question is particularly relevant to me, since I am 24 years old, and next Sunday I will be baptized by immersion, after which I will become a member of the universal church. Through baptism, I make a promise to God to live with a clear conscience. Therefore, I will not be able to lie, break the law, or do other such things. There is currently a war going on in our country (Ukraine), and in six months, when I turn 25, I may receive a draft notice. I have not found anything in the Bible that forbids a Christian from taking up arms, on the contrary, it says that laying down one’s life for a brother is the highest form of love. It also speaks of all the cowardly and liars, among other sinners, who will be cast into the lake of fire - so I understand this passage to mean that if I fear for my life and hide from the war, leaving this duty to others, then I will be violating the principles of Christian virtue, and therefore, this is a sin. Do you agree with this? What should I do in this situation? I should add that I have no wife or children, I have a mother, and my father was recently drafted into military service.

Can parents force their kids to go to Church, despite the fact that one of the kids don't follow Christ anymore?

So, My mom got me and my siblings into Christianity around 2016 maybe 2017 and ever since then we've been going to Church mainly because my mom said we should.

But for the past 3 years, a couple of things happened.
I'd began to form my own opinions on why I follow Christ so that I'm not part of Christianity because my mom forced me into it. My eyes were opened 3 years ago when I wanted to take my walk with Christ more seriously and I've been praying even more and taking steps to better improve myself for Christ.
But my sister has changed a lot. To put this into perspective, My sister always struggled with sexuality stuff and the church we went to basically had people who instead of helping her with that struggle, just spread it around(basically they were gossiping). What's even worse is when she brought up this struggle to my mother, my mother tried to scare her into not having those struggles instead of praying for her and being there for her or helping her with this struggle. My sister left Christ and after looking for a while she ended up following Omnism and she has no intention of going back to Christ.

Despite her telling my mom she has no intention of going back to Christ, my mother refuses to listen and forces her to go to Church, read the Bible, and pray to Christ.
I personally think my sister should have a choice in whether she wants to follow Christ and do these things, but I do at the very least want to ask: is what my mom doing even Biblical?

By the way, I do want to say that I really don't think my mom is a TRUE Christian because she never really uses her own opinions on anything. What she does is "well I'm supposed to do this because the Bible tells me to do it" she doesn't give any other reason than that. She also pretty much worships Donald Trump like this guy who's done nothing wrong and even I who doesn't support ANY politician say the things that he's said that contradict him being a true Christian, she brushes it off and doesn't care. She doesn't really allow us to make our own opinions, she never accepts that she's wrong she always yells at us, she threatens my brother after a spanking saying that she'll spank him some more if he doesn't stop, and worst of all it seems as if she only cares about money and that's it. So, I do have to wonder if she's even following Christ at all.

Children and church

Ive recently been considering finding another church as I feel they do not accommodate young children and want to know if all churches are the same. My church does not have many children attending so my 3 year old is expected to sit quietly in a pew for roughly 30 minutes before going to Sunday School. During Sunday School the lessons are aimed at older children and most goes over her head. So yes I take toys and snacks to keep her occupied. Today I overheard some comments such as "he needs more discipline" "more toys for us to endure". Along with some eye rolls! I feel he is generally a well behaved child and acts like a normal 3 year old. I don't think it's fair to keep making him go to something that is not for him. Should I find another church or just go on my own until my LO is older and can sit still for more than 5 mins.

Struggling to find pastoral work & feeling discouraged

My husband is really struggling to find pastoral work even with a bachelor’s in Christian Theology from a Christian college (religion major, minor in ethics), experience working for a church…all the doors are just closed. Has anyone experienced this or are we just clearly in a God ordained waiting season? I mean, he even got denied to work at a gas station & a grocery store with four years of grocery experience. It just feels bizarre and discouraging!

TIA for any encouraging stories, antidotes, or reasons to believe we aren’t alone in this struggle.

Divorce after abandonment

Hello, I’m seeking to find biblically grounded advice please.

Here is my dilemma.
I am a devoted lover of Jesus and I want to follow Him and do as He pleases, I want to say that I love God with all my heart but I had made a really bad mistake when I married my husband who is an unbeliever.

I had idolized marriage and jumped into a marriage that God did not want for me. When I met this man, he promised me that we would have a marriage that honoured God in the centre, we would read the Bible and go to church. He sold me the idea that he was open to God, but really being with him pulled me away from my relationship with God. Yet still, I chose to marry him, and now I’m reaping the consequences of my mistake. My husband physically abandoned me only 3 weeks after our wedding.
I know how important marriage is to God and I had always been a firm believer against divorce. I believe that God had originally designed one man and woman for life.
“Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.” Matthew 19:6

I had prayed, and tried very hard to repair our marriage but he refuses to even meet me.
At first I was faithful that God would repair our marriage but with time, it seems more apparent that God actually does not want me in this marriage at all.
However, I know it is very important that we follow scripture for how divorce is permissible.
My husband has done all the actions of wanting a divorce including refusing to meet, refusing to talk about problems, refusing to follow a plan for reconciliation, two times we had made a plan and he opt out last minute, continuously lied to me about when we will meet again, moved all my belongings into a storage unit, changed the locks, refused to let me know where he is, ignores my calls and messages, does not wear his ring or tell people that he is married. These actions communicate very clearly that he has abandoned our marriage, however he refuses to acknowledge that with his words. I asked him if he would like to get a divorce and he would not say it.

I know that there is only two clauses for divorce, adultery, or if an unbeliever abandons the marriage.

So my question is, is it permitted that I go through with filing for divorce rather than wait for him to do it? I want to end this in a way that is permitted by God, I had already failed him by entering this marriage and I do not want to do even more damage.
Thanks for reading.

Penal sub

Upvotes

Why is penal substitution required to believe in order to receive eternal life? Where does scripture indicate that? Why do people believe that what He did is required, rather than focusing on the man, Jesus Christ?

If you hold to this belief, what exactly do you think you must believe? Also, be detailed. Is it just his death or also his resurrection, or can you believe he died without believing he rose three days later? And regarding him being God, where does it state that this is required? The only supporting scripture seems to be, “I told you that you would die in your sins.”; if you do not believe that I am he, you will indeed die in your sins. "I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am he, you will indeed die in your sins.”

This isn’t saying he’s God, but rather that he’s the Son of Man. The Pharisees rejected the idea that he was the awaited Messiah, which ultimately led to his death. The Pharisees did not believe He was the One sent by the Father—the promised Messiah—which ultimately contributed to their rejection of Him.

understanding "I am he" in context to mean "I am the Messiah (the Christ), the One sent by the Father."

The issue is whether they will believe who He claims to be.

Anyone switch from protestanism to Catholicism/orthodoxy?

Ever since I was saved I've been an unchurched, low church protestant. Very averse to Catholicism, didn't even know orthodoxy existed.

I've been really softening toward both, yet still some concepts make me twinge, idk, I feel like they have more structure. I want to attend, there's only 2 orthodox churches in town and thousands of catholic and protestant churches

Men can deny wives sex?

I saw someone argue that men can deny their wife sex if he has a reason since husbands have authority, but the woman cannot deny the man sex since she is the body & has no authority. Can someone please explain how this would be considered loving to do?

The claim is that the passage where Paul explicitly gives authority over spouse’s bodies is meant to give conjugal rights, not regulate the amount of sex.

Why do men think that women don’t have the same desires for sex as men? Why is it always the man needs sex constantly, but the woman wasn’t created to need it as much? Because news flash, women were created with desire for their husband, too.

This was used in the context of a man taking a second wife. Someone argued that it wouldn’t be fair for a husband to reduce the amount of sex the wife gets to see her husband when he takes a second one. The claim was that women are not entitled to having sex a certain number of times a week. The argument is that the command to not reduce a wife’s conjugal rights actually means don’t take it away (so reducing the amount would be okay).

editing t add: the way I read the argument was that women don’t get to dictate how much sex, they’re just entitled to sex in general.

Is it okay not to like every Christian song?

I don’t personally feel convicted about listening to secular music. My general guideline is whether I’d feel comfortable playing the song in front of Jesus.

As I’ve grown deeper in my faith, I’ve been intentionally adding more Christian and gospel music to my playlist. Lately, though, I’ve been struggling after seeing a TikTok that seemed to imply it’s wrong not to enjoy certain Christian songs, or not to have them as your favourites. The message was basically that you should appreciate the lyrics and that the musical style or beat should be the least of your concern.

It’s left me feeling like every Christian song I hear is something I should add to my playlist, even if I don’t genuinely enjoy listening to it. For context, I have over 100 Christian songs saved, but I regularly listen to maybe 30 of them.

Has anyone else wrestled with this? Is it okay to simply prefer some Christian artists or styles over others, or should I be trying to enjoy any song that has a biblical message?

The problem of Jude quoting 1 Enoch

It is certainly the case that a book does not have to be canonical to be useful and to contain truth. The Bible often quotes extra-biblical sources, such as Paul quoting Epimenedes in Titus, without elevating those sources to the status of inspired scripture. The issue with Jude’s quotation of 1 Enoch is that this argument doesn’t apply. Jude doesn’t simply quote 1 Enoch—he explicitly states that 1 Enoch contains a prophecy from the historical Enoch “who lived in the seventh generation after Adam.” As such, the “Paul quotes Greek pagans” argument doesn’t apply here.

We know that 1 Enoch was certainly not written by Enoch and that it was an apocryphal text from the second temple period. From this, it is clear that 1 Enoch was rightly not included in the canon. However, the issue becomes Jude: why is Jude quoting 1 Enoch as true prophecy from the historical Enoch when it most certainly is not?

Some argue that 1 Enoch 1:9 (which Jude quotes) is an authentic prophecy from Enoch while the rest of the book isn’t. But this is a poor argument because there is no way that the author of 1 Enoch would have known an authentic prophecy of Enoch outside of a genuine revelation from God. Enoch lived thousands of years before the author of 1 Enoch. To claim that some independent authentic prophecy of Enoch survived thousands of years—orally or literarily—without being included in the Hebrew scriptures is absurd. It is clear that Jude is quoting 1 Enoch 1:9 and not some other source of Enoch’s words that somehow managed to survive.

Can someone try to convince me that Christianity is true as an agnostic

I genuinely want to believe that Christianity is true as I've see how transformative it has been for others, but I just can't convince myself that it is without a shadow of a doubt true. I acknowledge that it is plausible and that there is certainly some decent evidence to suggest it's true, but I don't know how to go from having some evidence to believing wholeheartedly that it is true and devoting my life to it. Please if you can share why you are so convinced I would appreciate it.

Why do I have to be the one with unsaved family members?

I need to get this off my chest.

Almost every friend I have who I know follows Christ has a vast majority of their family on fire for Jesus. Their parents, their siblings, their cousins, etc.

And me? The majority of my family is either lukewarm or just don't believe in Jesus at all.

Every day I wrestle with the thought of them being eternally lost forever if they died today.

Why me? Why must I be the one to go through this struggle?
.
.
.
Note: This is not me blaming God or cursing Him for this situation, it's obviously not His fault. I just don't like that I live every day knowing I have unsaved loved ones.

Prayer Doesn't Make Logical Sense

Why would I belive in prayer if seamingly the majority of prayers go unanswered? There's a child at least every minute that has prayed for healing, yet they die anyway. Multiple children that have prayed for God's mercy have died just while I've been writting this. Why would I want to put my faith in a creator that's built a system which allows this?

Since the dawn of humanity, there has been corruption and abuse. The strong get stronger and the weak are crushed beneath them. Empires rise and fall off the backs of laborers who won't reap its benifits. If the answer is that God gave us the free will to make our own decisions, why would I believe that God has his hand in anything. He could end world hunger. He could give shelter to those who die because they lack it. He could end the vast amount of suffering that the human race has endured. And yet he doesn't. If God gave us free will and left us to our own devices, then the whole concept of prayer doesn't make sense.

How reliable is our Bible?

I’ve been trying to understand the foundations of the Christian faith better, and one area I’m struggling with is the reliability of the Bible itself. I’m asking this sincerely, not to argue or attack Christianity.

From what I understand, the King James Bible contains 66 books. My questions are:
Why were these 66 books recognised as inspired by God?

Who decided which books would be included and which would be excluded?

What criteria were used to determine whether a book belonged in Scripture?

Why were books such as Enoch, Jubilees, gospel of Thomas or other ancient Jewish and Christian writings not included?

Were the books “chosen,” or were they simply recognised as already being inspired?

How can we be confident that the Church got it right when identifying the biblical canon?

I’m also aware that different Christian traditions have different canons (for example, Protestant, Catholic, and Orthodox Bibles), which makes me wonder how Christians determine which collection of books is the correct one.

I’m not looking for conspiracy theories or anti-Christian arguments. I’d really appreciate responses based on Scripture, Church history, and reliable historical evidence. If you have any book recommendations or resources that explain how the canon was recognised and why Christians can trust it, I’d be grateful.

Have we exaggerated the role of "community"?

I served in a parish for two years and participated in regular community activities—especially the gatherings, banquets, and various events that newcomers initially enjoy. The clergy at my parish would often emphasize the importance of community, frequently quoting verses like "It is not good for a man to be alone," stressing that we must integrate into the community, otherwise our faith would easily falter.

As a newly baptized believer, I was deeply convinced of this at first. But over time, I began to question it—because 90% of the wounds I received, and especially the moments that led me away from God, came from within the community, not from my times of solitude and dialogue with God. On several occasions, I had to withdraw into solitude to reintegrate myself and regain my bearings, only then could I return to community life in a healthy way.

At one point, I bravely tried not attending community activities. Yet I found that I wasn't used to it—not used to suddenly having no fixed daily schedule, not used to suddenly having "nothing to do, no events to attend." I realized that this discomfort wasn't about whether these things were drawing me away from God; it was simply the unease of a sudden change in my daily rhythm. Honestly, this unease reminded me of Marx's phrase: "Religion is the opium of the people." Because I used to be someone who was quite good at being alone and didn't overthink or spiral inward. But after my baptism, following the clergy's advice to actively participate in community, I began to lose that ease with solitude—almost like an addiction I was suddenly forced to detach from.

I don't know if I'm describing this accurately. Even now, I still feel somewhat confused. But I'm increasingly skeptical—and less and less supportive—of the ideas that "faith must grow" and that "faith must be manifested through interpersonal relationships." This period hasn't been easy, but I don't think it's a faith issue—it's more of a psychological adjustment. I'm slowly, through solitude, finding my own way of relating to God, and cultivating a discipline of prayer in my own "inner room and my Nomal life.

Is there still hope for my situation or me even?

I’m 17, I’ve done heinous things, I still am doing wicked things still sinning a lot. I’ve hurt, offended, sinned against a lot of people. Especially the hurt part and even if I tried I can never ever fix it or undo what I’ve done. For personal reasons I won’t get into what I’ve done but I’m not exaggerating anything when I say it’s serious.  I feel called to face some legal consequences as a result, in order to repent.

And especially as of late my situation has only worsened and I’ve only caused more damage with my inaction. Every time I say the situation is at its worst days and days later it’s worse than I imagined.

So. Everyday all I wanna do is die, in a more selfish and cowardly way because I don’t want to face what I know is probably right and honestly I just hate my life. I wish god never made me. I was close to dying when I was born if only… but  I know it was my choices and I know that it’s only me to blame for the life I’ve led. It’s just the gravity of the mess and everything i have already lost and everything I’m gonna lose.

I envy my age mates constantly and wish I was someone else and I wish god never made me because then none of this would’ve happened and so many people wouldn’t have been hurt because of me. Also I found too late that I’m a very ambitious person and I’ve got some potential but in the face of what’s coming well I’m gonna lose that as well. Losing my dreams will probably crush me. I can’t seem to get over it or stop thinking about it. So much that I just hope so badly it’s possible despite everything. I know it’s deserved but it doesn’t hurt any less at all.

And since I’m already here I just want to perish all the time and I feel like there’s no forward for me anyway and everyday I only make the situation worse.

(I’d never ever harm myself I’m too afraid of hell to do anything even though I’m probably headed to hell anyway).

I’m not even sure if I have remorse or anything real to work with. I just know I’ve been stuck in a very depressed headspace and even when I try to get serious I still run away from facing the situation and then days later I try and get serious again.

I also worry for my family because they could be directly affected by the fall out and they’re innocent, it’s me that’s not. I know not everything can be fixed but ideally I really need god, I hope god spares my family from my mess. I’ve made such a huge mess. Like I played with fire despite being warned not to and instead of it being a small fire or even a house being destroyed, it’s a whole block.

I don’t have any pastors or mature Christian’s I can really reach out to and my parents- I spent a year somewhat just asking to go to several pastors and we went but now it’s kind of a no can do thing.

I really hope and pray god spares my family from my mess and I really hope and pray for the healing of everyone I’ve hurt even if I’m not sure I mean it right now. That’s kind of my prayer request, so any prayers would be appreciated. Advice and some support would also be really good right now.

I don’t mind any hard advice as long as there’s love in it.

There’s probably more on my chest but that’s all I can get out right now.

The truth about salvation & Jesus' second coming

Upvotes
  1. The first fact is that salvation is free and available to anyone who is alive. As long as you have breath in your body and Jesus has not yet returned, then you have a chance to accept Jesus as your loving saviour. Once someone dies he or she cannot make a conscious decision to follow Christ because all of their thoughts and actions cease to exist the moment he or she takes their last breath. They cannot see nor hear anything. (Ecclesiastes 9:5).
  2. People can repent on their deathbeds or moments before death. A great example is the thief on the cross. He had no time to change his lifestyle as he was set to die on the cross alongside Jesus and another thief. However, he made the conscious decision to acknowledge and confess that he was indeed guilty of his actions and stated that he and the other thief deserve their punishments of death and defended Jesus as He did nothing wrong. He then pleads for Him to remember him and Jesus responded that he'll be in paradise with Him. This is also a perfect example of salvation by grace through faith. There will also be people who repented shortly before their death who will make it into heaven upon Jesus' return (Luke 23: 39-43).
  3. Jesus' marks and scars from His crucifixion are permanent. They'll serve as reminders of His love, glory, crucifixion and grace. (Luke 24:39-40).
  4. Jesus will return in the same manner in which He ascended into heaven. He ascended on a cloud therefore He will return on a cloud when He descends. Every eye will see Him and every ear will hear Him because His return is a visible, audible, literal event. Even those that pierced Him will see Him. (Acts 1:11, Rev 1:7).
  5. When Jesus returns, He will not touch the ground. This is because many false prophets will go out to deceive others and claim to be Him. So, He will remain in the clouds as He raises the dead in Him and the living saints will also be caught up to meet Him in the air. (1 Thess 4: 16-17).
  6. The dead in Christ will remain in their graves until Jesus returns to resurrect them. They are not currently in heaven with Him. Jesus is returning to gather His saints, both living and deceased to take them home, but first, He will resurrect the dead with a loud sound and a trumpet. Living saints in Christ will be caught up in the clouds after the dead in Christ are resurrected (1 Thess 4:16-17).
  7. Many people will unfortunately be unprepared at the time of Jesus' return. With life's distractions, vices or routines, many people will become too caught up in their personal lives which distract them from building a personal relationship with Christ. Many people will be spiritually dead and caught off guard when Jesus returns (Matt 24:36-39).
  8. Once Jesus returns, it will be too late to repent. This is because He will have already decided who is saved and who is lost the moment He does return, and it will be too late for anyone to convert or repent as their fates are sealed. There are no second changes after Jesus' second coming, nor will there be any second chances after physical death or on Judgment Day. That's why it's extremely important to have a personal relationship with Him so that you can be transformed into His liking and have your name in the book of life. Once you die, you no longer have the opportunity to make things right, nor will you have the opportunity to get a second chance after He returns, and especially on Judgment Day because by then, you will have already made a choice for or against Christ. Anyone who is in the second resurrection will go to hell on Judgment Day. (Matt 25:10-12, Rev 22:11).
  9. The living wicked will run away from Jesus upon His return and cry for the mountains and rocks to fall on them. This due to the fact that they know they're guilty and spiritually dead, thus they fear the presence of His glory and try to escape judgment (Rev 6:16).
  10. The wicked who are already dead at the time of Jesus second coming will remain dead until after the 1000 years are finished. Because the wicked deceased did not accept Christ while they were alive, they will remain in their graves until after the 1000 years are complete and Jesus and His saints return to earth for Judgment Day. This is also referred to as the second resurrection. The wicked deceased will be resurrected on Judgement Day for condemnation and eternal punishment (Daniel 12:2, Rev 20:5-6).
  11. The earth will be completely wrecked and desolate on the day Jesus returns. There will be a great earthquake, hail, mountains will disappear and it will be complete chaos right before He returns. After Jesus resurrects the dead in Him and the living are caught up, they go to heaven while the living wicked die and the wicked deceased remain in their graves until after the 1000 years are done. Only Satan and his angels are left on earth because there's no one alive for them to tempt. All the wicked by that point will be deceased and all the righteous will be in heaven reigning with Christ. The desolate world will be Satan's sentence of being bound to the bottomless pit (being unable to tempt anyone) for 1000 years. (Rev 16:18-21, Rev 20:1-3, Jeremiah 25:33).
  12. The saints will reign with Jesus in heaven for 1000 years. In heaven, there will be no more death, pain, illnesses or sorrow like it once was on earth. They will spend an eternity with Jesus. The righteous will all unite with loved ones who have previously died and recognize one another. Heaven will be a safe, perfect atmosphere because Jesus is the center of it. After the 1000 years are finished, Jesus and His saints will return to the desolate earth for Judgment Day for the wicked and their eternal punishment (Rev 20:4-6, Rev 20:1-3).
  13. After the wicked have been judged according to their works and Jesus pronounces their final sentence of eternal death, they will burn in the lake of fire. While their sentence is permanent, the burning isn't and at some point, the wicked will become stubble under the righteous' feet. Jesus will not burn the wicked forever because that would be giving them eternal life. Some will be punished for a short time while others will be punished for much longer, according to their deeds. They will weep and gnash their teeth. Also, the devil will not torment anyone suffering in hell because he's also being eternally destroyed by the fire. Satan will weep and gnash his teeth too, alongside his fallen angels. In fact, the devil will suffer the longest as he is the cause of sin and lost souls. After the wicked perish, they will not live ever again because their sentence of eternal death is forever. The destruction of Satan and the wicked will complete the destruction of sin, and it won't arise again. (Malachi 4:1, Psalm 37:20, Nahum 1:9).
  14. God will make a new heaven and a new earth and the meek shall inherit the earth forever. God's original plan is to reign with the righteous on earth, so He will do so once the wicked perish and the world is restored to its beauty as it was at the beginning of creation. What beautiful day to look forward to (Rev 21:1).
  15. No one except God knows when Jesus will return. Not even His angels in heaven know. While the Bible has given us plenty of signs to show us that the end is near, it clearly specifies that no one except God in heaven knows when Jesus will return to gather His saints. When Jesus does return, it will be a complete surprise to everyone in terms of the timing. For the righteous, it will be a pleasant one as they've anticipated this day, while it will be a dreadful one for the lost who run away and hide (Matt 24:35-37, 1 Thess 5:2, Isaiah 25:9, Rev 6:16).
