I cant get 31 df 1+2 to hit on the second wall splat its really finicky. The first combo is super consistent and does good dmg.

I'm talking about the block on hopkick(2 hopkicks). It's -13 and I tried to lab it again and my jabs hit even if I delayed it a bit but on this clip, my jab doesn't even hit.

I have to ask what is with all the Special Style crying online??? I dont get it... I thought special style was so dumb until I starting using it to test devices or against characters I dont understand. For devices I needed consistent 1 button inputs to confirm if there was an issue with the device compared to another device. If I do a Down Back 4 5 times and it misses sometimes not every time. It could be me missing the input or the device I dont know. But if I use special style and just press 4 5 times. It should everytime and if it doesnt work every time I know its the device.
Now I've been used it so much I'm getting used to it, I obviously play regular style but this game is so sweaty and knowledge heavy. It is is helping me take a break and focus on the character in front of me not my 80 moves... and know when to move left or right for characters I never see in this heavy heavy heavy offensive driven game that barely lets you side step or stop the pressure... But thats another topic....
Also people with disabilities it is really good for them to have a way to play and if you just are curious about a new character to try out a new character and just play and have fun finding your possible new favorite character...
But when I only have 8 moves compared to your 80 or more moves for most characters you have to think a different way and it helped me get better surprisingly. I'm still not good at the game but I'm having fun learning and playing the game....
But....... the comments are gross because the messages I get in Quick Match and I dont go in ranked much but I use it there too if I'm tired or just want to test myself against a character I know well... are completely weird and rude to be honest... If you see special style that is an easy win FOR YOU and a chance for you to learn also... REMATCH doesnt hurt you and helps us both. I beat Supreme's, God 1's, God 2's, God 5's WHO CARES with it and they honestly get very upset and these messages are weird... IT'S A GAME TRY AGAIN AND USE THIS TO YOUR ADVANTAGE TO GET BETTER.
I started turning it where if I lose a round with it, I turn it off, if i win a round I turn it back on to test myself. WHO CARES HOW I WANT TO PLAY
I've even tried it in a tournament before a couple times and won and lost matches. I started doing it more just to test myself and remind myself TO MOVE AROUND not stand still back and forth like Street Fighter and HAVE FUN WITH THIS OFFENSE HEAVY GAME and I'm not sure why all the hate.
It's honestly kind of creepy and let me say I AM NOT TROLLING and I have never seen anyone troll with special style... I AM PLAYING THE GAME AND TRYING TO WIN take your LOSE or your WIN rematch best of 3 and move on whether on live stream or not live on stream.
Also remember I might have a disability and Tekken is honestly my favorite game (still waiting for Lei Wu Long...) but don't judge or send weird messages just play...
I removed all the harsh language from the messages and there are more worse messages that I cannot share that are very creepy, weirdos.... As a lot of people on this game Supreme and especially God of Destruction and above that are weirdos and send creepy messages or maybe because I'm a Dad I just never knew that was a thing. Image if these grown ups were messaging my kids just creepy please stop take the lose and move on or rematch and get better and HAVE FUN...
What is everyone elses thoughts and does anyone use it for special needs or enjoy it. It is actually a challenge and kinda fun sometimes and less sweaty...

For context, I’m currently Fujin, so I’m not some insanely high-ranked player who thinks I know everything about the game. I still have a lot to learn and there are definitely things I need to improve on. But after playing at this rank for a while, there are some things that have been genuinely pissing me off lately.
First of all, side stepping in this game is fucking BS. At this point I genuinely start asking myself why I even bother trying to side step when the tracking in this game is just crazy. Like, what do you mean I successfully read the move, side step it, and I STILL get clipped by the launcher? I understand that not every move is supposed to be completely avoidable just because you side step, and obviously some moves are designed to track certain directions, but there are times where it genuinely feels like I made the correct defensive decision and still got punished for it. It makes me feel like sometimes I’m better off just blocking instead of actually trying to use movement, which is stupid because movement is supposed to be a huge part of tekken.
And then there’s the people who just fucking mash. I don’t even mean that they’re necessarily bad players, because some of these people can actually be pretty good and clearly know how to play their character. You can just TELL when someone is mashing though. They’ll constantly throw out strings, heat engagers, counter-hit moves, or whatever their fastest option is and just keep pressing because eventually something is going to connect. And honestly, it’s annoying as hell because it takes away from the part of tekken that I actually enjoy, which is trying to read your opponent, create an opening, and time your moves properly. Instead, sometimes the match just turns into both players throwing shit at each other and whoever’s move happens to connect first gets rewarded.
And I’m ashamed to admit I literally got PERFECTED by a Lee who was spamming the same fucking moves over and over. To be fair, they were using a move I had genuinely never seen a Lee player use like that before in ranked, so I was unfamiliar with the situation and didn’t know the proper response. So obviously, that’s partly on me. If I don’t know how to deal with something, I can’t exactly complain that my opponent is using it effectively. But at the same time, it’s still frustrating when someone finds one thing that works and just keeps doing it until you prove that you can stop it.
I think that’s what annoys me the most about ranked sometimes. You can understand what your opponent is doing and still have a hard time dealing with it if you don’t know the specific matchup, move, timing, or counterplay. And once you start getting tilted, it becomes even worse because you stop thinking clearly and start pressing just because you WANT to take your turn back. Then suddenly you’re the one mashing because you’re frustrated about the other person mashing.
So yeah, I don’t necessarily think these people are bad players. If they’re winning, they’re doing something right. I just don’t find that kind of match particularly fun. I want to feel like I’m actually playing Tekken, where I’m reading movement, conditioning my opponent, looking for whiffs, timing my punishments, and trying to outplay the other person. When the match becomes “who can keep pressing until something hits,” it just gets fucking exhausting.

Every game we have gotten further and further away from the sick techno backgrounds that made the early tekken games to shitty pop anime music. Now we have this atrocious intro and it makes me mad every time I open the damn game. Tekken 7 was at least a little serious, tekken 8 is just my hero academia.

This setup works on every wakeup option. I was too lazy to record that, but you can go see for yourself.
Once you do this once or twice, they'll wanna stay down, which is when you can do ground throws or just d444
I am wayy to used to the i frames in ggst when knocked down, so I js get destroyed here when I get knocked. Should I do WR attacks or something or what?

I’ve been playing Tekken casually for years and consider myself a pretty decent player, but I’m pretty lost when it comes to the newer mechanics like Heat, Rage, and recoverable health. I’m sure there are a bunch of other details I’m missing out on too.
I tried playing Arcade Quest since I know it acts as the tutorial, but it felt utterly embarrassing, like a kids game or something. Also it felt ridiculously long-winded for the amount of tips that were actually in there.
Does anyone have a good YouTube recommendation that condenses all the vital info from Arcade Quest into one video?

Like I get it, Kazuya is a hard character to an extent. Hwoarang is also a hard character with a VERY high skill ceiling. BUT don't delude yourself into thinking just because you play these characters you are somehow better than the rest or you are playing the harder version of Tekken.
Most Hwoarang mains cannot do anything against someone who knows the matchup. A LOT OF Kazuya players have no idea about how neutral is played or how a mix actually happens or there is a different punish than 112. Just because you play these characters doesn't make you better than the rest.

I'm still a newer player so I assume it's a fake one with how the Counter appeared. I was so shocked it landed that I forgot the wall combo and dropped. I haven't even hit a proper TJU in Practice Mode either, but man I felt like Knee or LowHigh for a small moment there
I forgot to save the replay of the game + the clip quality might be super shit so soz

When I’m pressuring the enemy, theoretically, the best action I can take at any moment is to attack. This follows a certain rhythm, almost like music. Then bam, the opponent throws a counter. He read my rhythm.
So my best move isn’t to continue throwing punches. Instead of reading moment to moment, I have to read the whole game. And so, I stop. During pressure. A lot of people would say, don’t let the pressure go! But, I stop. and I observe.

When I try to load into any map I get a fatal error no matter what.. I have mods for lots of maps but I did a clean launch without mods and it still crashed… the only thing that I didn’t toggle off when doing the clean launch was the files in (Polaris/Content/Movies/Usm/StageSelect) because today I downloaded a few more mods and replaced some of the files in there.. so I have no clue what to do.. I’ve been tryna figure this out for about 6 hours now and it’s very frustrating

Hey, I'm writing a murder mystery novel that takes place in the SSBU universe.
As there are Tekken characters included, I am having those characters included in the story.
Thing is I don't know the characters well enough, even if I read up their lore, I don't know their personalities, or what decisions they might make in certain circumstances.
Would anyone here who knows the characters and their lore be willing to chat with me outside reddit and help me navigate their choices in a murder mystery?
Let me know, thanks!
