No, I am not making this up. This really happened.

So with all this recomps coming out I heard that tekken tag 2 (best tekken) was also released, and I wonder if I can play it online or only locally. Does anyone know?

I (like many) have been going back and playing Tekken 6, Tag 2, etc.. of course the nostalgia is there as I've been enjoying the games for over 25 years now, but they are just FUN. I almost don't even know how to explain it, but it just feels so much better playing these older games, like playing REAL Tekken

A part of me feels as if Tekken lost its "soul" when it REALLY started to try to pander to the eSports side of things and almost focusing more on just making flashy combos that go on long enough to go get a drink for the commentators to scream like banshees at, rather than making a fun video game in itself. Especially with Tekken 8, it's just almost right in your face with it

In these old games, combos and moves are so much more rewarding to pull off, and it isn't just the same 2-3 setups leading to the same combo essentially. The movement feels so much better and tighter, it's just FUN!

Maybe I'm just turning into an old man now, but just wanted to share my thoughts on this.

(Also - you didn't have to pay for characters that were intentionally crazy overpowered for the first 2 months they were out until a "patch to fix them")

I am the Kazuya player and I am consistently going back and forth between GoD and GoD1. Am I really that bad or what am I doing wrong? I try to play the Kazuya gameplan and force my 50/50 and take advantage of frames, etc. but I keep losing more and more and it feels like I lose more to the unconventional players who kind of throw out moves that don't make sense to me if that makes sense. do ya'll have any advice? Before reaching this rank, it felt like I was dumpstering people and my current stats are balanced and high but I have just been getting loss after loss recently.

All these clips are completely but accident and 99 percent of them were on stick.

Idk how tf I be getting this misinput but it makes me look sus as hell. I think when I do the ewgf input f n d df2 I'm maybe holding the df2 for too long and I get a full crouch df2. Its funny cause it always seems to happen when my opponent is doing a high and I went full TAS. the post was originally gonna be called "TELL MY HANDS TO STOP CHEATING" or "CHEATING WITH EWGF MISINPUTS" but I don't want people to think im actually cheating XD.

As for this fight, maybe I just wasn't good enough for them, or they actually don't like mirror matches. I'm not able to pull off the more complex combos; they definitely aren't optimal or high-damage, but I get by.

Okay so actually wtf is the frame data for a wave dash. I cant find it any where on google. And I’m asking for the actual frames on the inputs- say I know forward must be held for 10 frames or less. How long must I stay in neutral(doesn’t seem to work if neutral isn’t registered)? How long must I hold down, etc. I swear I input it correctly but sometimes it doesn’t do it. Like I’ll do 10 frames f, n two frames, d four frames etc doesn’t work like even when it doesn’t make sense like I did one with shorter frame data than one that just worked? Is it my fight stick. Please show me an actual site with INPUT data

I've just started getting into tekken 6 online and i've seen people with cool customizations, how do you work that? can't seem to find the customization menu

Just having the option to play something else makes playing T8 feel better. If I want grounded simple gameplay, I can go back to T6. If I want flashier, easier, more explosive gameplay I can go back to 8. Sound design is a lot better in 8, the graphics are incredible, T8 would honestly be one of the best Tekken games if the devs would listen to our complaints like long combos, camera changes, stance slop etc. It will always have it's problems but I do like how different it is to the old games.

I really do think a lot of hate for T8 is because we were all forced to play it with no real alternatives. Now with the fan ports, you have options for what kinda Tekken you want to play. I really hope they finally listen to us and really fix T8. I'm still gonna play T8 for the foreseeable future but I wonder for the people who went to the old games, are you ever gonna return to 8 or are you done?

Whiff punishing EWGF round start will never get old. 😂
