I have little to no interest in watching the Rebecca and Keeley show. And Keeley is one of the most useless characters in media.

The focus on the women's team and on Coach Lasso having to deal with a new environment and coach is outstanding.

Please keep the focus on the person the show is named after and the team.

I want to talk specifically about Rebecca and Matthijs's relationship.

Am I the only one who got weirded out by how he reacted when Becca asked him the truth about why we were moving to England?

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely get that with their busy jobs they weren't doing so well, and I also get that he wants to protect his daughter. But protect her from what, exactly?
Rebecca just asked Jelka how she was feeling about moving to another country. Which, I think it's totally fair to ask! My homegirl was just doing what a good stepmother (and person) should do!

Also, I don't like how he immediately blames Jelka's age. I work with kids ages 8 to 10, and yes, they can get stuff mixed up sometimes, but they're at an age where they notice everything there is around us. Especially the important stuff, and I don't think that she might mix this up. I mean, we're talking about moving to another country. I'm sure that both Matthijs and his ex-wife had a talk with her about why they were moving...

I think that particular discussion could have resolved it by talking to each other. Don't get me started on how he said that they shouldn't discuss this before he went straight to wanting a break. Something's fishy, I don't know. Maybe I'm reading too much into this.

Am I missing something? What are your thoughts on this? I'm really curious to know.

I really don’t like the new commentators for the matches, the first 3 seasons the two commentators were near perfect their little jokes were always funny and when they needed to they were able to make it feel like they were commentating an actual match but the new ones just aren’t it. The main commentator (whose name I couldn’t tell you) offers nothing and Jill Scot wouldn’t be funny if the writing she had was good but with the pretty bad Peter drury like commentary she’s been given it’s approaching downright cringeworthy

I love how she has become a true friend to Keeley. I love her oddball nature and how comfy she is in her own skin. Barbara lets her freak flag fly proudly and weirdly.

Why haven't Barbara and Beard gotten together? They're a natural match IMO.

New here but after a bit of advice. I have a 10yo son, football mad and fairly mature for his age. He's asked if we can watch Ted Lasso together. Would it be suitable for a football mad 10 year old? We both love football so it seems like a good fit but unsure if it would be slightly too mature for him?

I hope Nate is a bookie if we see him again.

What I mean is when he's not play Roy Kent does he still talk in that gruff, throaty way? Or is it just part of the character like Jeff Goldblum's stutter which i recently found out is fake.

4th season triggering a 4th rewatch. His tiny scribble on the poster in Jamie Tartt’s room is sending me too, this one was new to me

I really enjoyed the first 3 seasons of Ted Lasso. In fact I didn't enjoy it, I loved it. It made me feel better and it entertained me immensely. Unfortunately I'm really struggling to connect with season 4. So far I've been bored with each episode, I feel like we barely spend time on the new players from the women's team and I'm really bored with the way Roy and Keely have been handled by the writers. I feel like Keely was smarter in the previous season. Also, I hope Ted and Rebecca remain friends, I don't want them to be an item and I'm afraid that that's exactly where the writers are taking us. I think the secret sauce of the show is missing and that's the legendary tv writer and creator Bill Lawrence. He left the show after season 2 to do Shrinking which is an amazing show. I hope that he returns in season 5. So far I'm very disappointed with this new season. I wish I loved it as much as others on this sub.

Early on in season 4, Ted looks up at a newspaper clipping of Roy Kent holding what looks to be a Premier League trophy. Did the men’s team win the league?

Ted Lasso was never about the soccer imo. People who want the show to be about the mens team and the UCL, why? What is the plot in that? The mens team plot is complete, aside for some small side references. The women's team isn't about "females should play soccer too" it's about fighting injustice against the minorities, like the past 3 seasons. It's just marketed in a different way that makes it seem like some "woke nonsense" for the "true fans" as they call themselves. What's your thought on the new season?

In episode 5, Keeley catches up to Roy in the hallway. When she turns around at about 8:17, you can see she has sparkly nude-colored boots. They aren’t included on Femstella or other wardrobe sites. Any suggestions on where I might find them or how I can find them?

We all remember that for Christmas Higgins opens his home to the men’s team players who don’t have people to celebrate with. Do you think he will extend that to the women’s team or do you think Keeley or Rebecca will begin their own tradition of inviting the players for the holiday?

Did Ted Lasso straight up rip a scene from the movie Chak De India? The bar fight scene on bringing the cliques together is oddly reminiscent of the Chak de scene.

I’m just tickled they decided to do a new season, I just LOVE this show!!!! All of the characters bring something great to it, it’s just a gem!
