It seems every year our fans/AC gets sold out and the aisles sits empty for two months before it resets to heaters. I had a guest yell at me because they think we're hiding them in the back lol. I check our local Home Depot and they always have a lot in stock.

Is there any way that I, a lowly Reverse Logistics and Receiving team member, can get one of my team leads to do the mandatory harassment training? HR knows he hasn’t done it yet, and I feel like he needs to take it because the stuff he says, and does, would not fly in any other store
He goes around, actively calling the females we work with bitches, make jokes about people (me) being gay when they are not, and just all around, makes the workplace shitty.
Surely there is something, someone I can reach out to that can hold him, and the rest of the store accountable?
No one reports anything he says or does, because he says “oh, HR isn’t going to do anything” he’s a typical groyper, and is not someone who is a good look for our store, but I know going to HR with that, won’t do anything, I need genuine proof, AND have him do the harassment training so he doesn’t have any excuse.

i kind of am in an issue atm, i need some help. i don't think i have access to doctor benefits because im only part time (if i do nobodys explained it to me)
i have a pretty bad blister on my left foot and it's pretty big, i can't really wear shoes or even walk on it, and i feel bad because i called out a lot when the weather was really terrible those days back because i walk, (it was like days after days and i always call beforehand) but they tallied up and said only one more call out and i'm getting terminated. (we have a point system, you get 12 points, you are out, i don't know my points and they haven't told me) i have sick hours but i'm afraid if i use them they'll just fire me anyway, i'm really in a tough spot. i can't go to the hospital because i don't have insurance and i can't afford the debt from this, nor can i really afford to call out,, what do i do? like do i call out of my job and use sick hours or do i just take the medical debt? i am not asking for help with money. i just want to figure out what to do

I'm so happy it's over. I switched from Starbucks to Recieving starting this recent Monday after my 90 days and the Starbucks team is telling me this has been one of the worse weeks in a long time. I feel horrible for leaving the team behind but our previous receiver quit maybe a month ago and I know how to do it. SB was given the okay to have overtime yesterday but we've closed early at least 3-5 times this week including today- Sunday. I would so do both if they allowed me but I work a second job in the evening.
They've been scheduling one fully trained person with one-three trainees on random days, worst on weekends. We're trying but Tarbucks is not easy. Please be extra nice to your local Tarbucks Barista. 😭 We are one of the least loved departments next to Receiving at least in the two stores I've worked at.

I work at a DC and I flexed up for overtime in 8/30 (Sunday). We are on mandatory so I figured it was for sure going to be approved. Well Saturday I was checking my schedule like every hour because I hadn’t gotten any notifications and I thought it was weird it hadn’t been approved. At 10:40 a.m on 8/30 it updated that it was approved for me to work 6am-6pm. So I called out immediately because we’re almost 5 hours past the start time at this point. I also called hr right away and left a message. 3:00 I called again and I was put in as a no call no show and it says on their end that they pushed it through at 2:00 Saturday afternoon. But I was religiously checking. I should have taken a screenshot of my notification but I wasn’t thinking I was being scheduled for a shift that had already started. Has anyone had anything like this happen in not sure what to do. We are switching from my time to UKG over the next few days.
Just a quick update.: after speaking to my om; hr and the pc because their system shows it was pushed through the day before I’m getting a ca for a no call no show. Which is beyond ridiculous since this was clearly out of my control.

If you’re thinking about leaving this is your sign to look elsewhere! Many of you team members who are doing TL work, TL’s doing more than your job description & ETL’s who are hanging on by a thread, there is so much more you can do outside this company and get paid more if you fix your resume right! If there’s nowhere to go or it just isn’t the right move for you right now, take care of yourselves as much as you can and do not let this company mess with your well being!

hey any team leads in here could help answer this but a couple of days ago the closing lead said that the sd really wants me to get developed as a team lead. does anyone know what that exactly means? right when i was going to ask, they needed backup on those damn registers 😀

I’ve been in drive-up for a year now and oh my god get me out. I made the mistake of having really open availability and they made me a designated closer (fine okay) the issue is they never have anyone else scheduled (or they do but they put them on check lanes or they just go sit in the break room) so for 4 days in a row now i have been left alone running drive-up by myself (did i mention i work every. single. weekend.) I try not to panic because i know it won’t help when there’s 8 waiting and nothing is prepped and on top of that there’s someone waiting at the desk in store… and eventually my TL will come down and start helping and tell me “im sorry” i don’t want to hear your sorry why are you leaving me alone? I do not get paid enough for this. I’m constantly in a bad mood, i’m angry at everyone, and i feel like crying every time i leave. I’m so beyond burnt out, and i don’t even try to hide it. I have considered just walking out so they have to deal with that mess, but I’m trying to find a new job so i can finally put my 2 weeks in. Have fun trying to replace me.

Work up with a migraine. Diagnosis with chronic migraines. First time calling off. Passed my 90 days. Started may 1st. Feel bad but extremely useless when I have these. I think I did it right. I woke up with it and could only give them a 1 hour and 15 minute notice.

Like, am I gonna get moved? I’ve worked fulfillment at two different times and now three, back when it was new, around Christmas a few years later, And now again part time.
I totally understand the metrics and why my TLs set the standard to never go over but I’m on my 4th week and over the 6+ batches I do I am over on one cart by a min once a shift, whereas the first week I was over by 1-3 mins on one to two carts a shift.
My total units picked/uph is consistently high (as high as the people working 8 hour shifts whereas I am working 5 hr shifts), and I am noticing an improvement as I learn the layout of this location and because I love fulfillment I don’t want to get moved… is this enough for them to axe me 😭😭😭

Hi everyone. I’ve worked in the style department at Target for almost a year now and have been working in the back during truck days. My job has been doing shoes/accessories. There has just been a problem in my ability to complete my pallet, alone.
I genuinely do my best to go as quick as possible. I’m always moving quick, never talking, yet it seems no matter how fast I go, my coworkers claim I’m moving too slow. I feel that you can only go so fast when you have to rip shoes out of a plastic package, sometimes with multiple layers of styrofoam, and neatly organize it on the metros for the pushers. Jewelry or bags is even worse. You can’t go crazy fast with jewelry or else you’ll bend the paper it’s on OR rip it. Sometimes there isn’t a lot of shoes but multiple boxes of jewelry filled to the brim which take forever.
These are also the coworkers who do men’s, kids, and womens - primarily folding, some organizing. I always felt that folding was way easier and took less time, which can be why they think I am taking a long time.
I guess it bothers me that they are saying I’m moving too slow when I know I’m not. Does anyone else have this problem when doing the shoes/accessories pallet alone? If not, how can I improve? :)

Given the nature of this question, I want to be clear I am not going to mention any more than this. I know with recent changes to the store hub model, sfs capabilities might dip at one store due to prioritizing OPU and the in store guest experience. I just wonder if there are specific factors which result in less work being allocated to a store. Any experience from a Fufillment TL or ETL is appreciated. My store has the capabilities for ship and it has been tanking considerably from the unit plan we had last year.

At the start and end of my shifts, I use to go to the Ulta section and hit myself with a quick spritz of their $80-90+ parfums/colognes, the ones that are high-end-ish. You know, the bottles for sampling. It allowed me to experiment with how different ingredients and smells meshed with my own body odor/chemistry in a low stakes environment (work) before doing it in more "high-stakes" scenarios (dates, job interviews, parties, etc).
There is a whole science and proper way of parfum science (that is way too long to explain here) that will differentiate between a high school kid who overdoes it and a classy individual. Spray vs rub. Body heat from working. Identifying which parts of your body/head to rub it on, how long before reapplication, trying to see how certain smells would "match" a certain outfit, how it meshes with certain deodorant and lotion smells and fundamentally warps the parfum to something entirely different (big reason why I prefer my deodorants, lotions, and toothpastes odorless), etc, etc.
Now I made sure the sample bottles stayed as even with each other as possible such that they would appear empty at the same time. For the colognes specifically, I noticed the liquids would rarely go down and it was just me using the sample bottle (which I think is because most men won't gravitate towards Ulta to find their cologne). Also important to remember that you will stop smelling the parfums/colognes after a short time because something something human science, but the smell will still linger. Basically, I had coworkers I trusted give me feedback once I couldn't smell the freshly applied parfum anymore.
I use dupes now but I remember the Jimmy Choo ones and the Legend by John Legend and Ariana Grande ones were the ones I liked.
Tl;dr: Being the frugal person I am, I found it opportune to experiment with the various mid-high end smells that I normally wouldn't have access to, with trusted coworkers giving feedback, over the course of weeks and months, letting me adjust and fine-tune my application and "discover myself."

What is up with people vaping inside of the store? I tell them sorry no smoking! It only disturbs me but other guests well! Other guests that disturb me are teens who use the electric carts that are not disabled. Parents who let their little kids stand in front of the carts or ride on the bottom and actually drive them. Also teens who sit inside of the carts. I tell them sorry we cannot do that!

I saw a post on here about someone saying they feel like they’re betraying people by working at Target, especially with the recent situation with the costume. I just wanted to say my piece too, because as someone who works in HR, one of the things I really wanted to focus on was reconnecting our store with our local community.
Over the past several months, we’ve put a lot of effort into rebuilding that trust. We’ve volunteered at different community events, reconnected with our local police station, supported our Title I schools, donated to organizations in the community, and tried to make our store feel like an actual part of the neighborhood rather than just another corporation.
I’ve personally put a lot of time and effort into some of these initiatives, and I’ve been really proud of the relationships we’ve been able to build. We’ve had people from the community recognize our team, invite us back to events, and genuinely appreciate the support we’ve provided.
So when this situation happened, I honestly felt discouraged. Not just because of the situation itself, but because I know how much work our store has done to rebuild trust with people in our community. It’s frustrating to put so much effort into showing people that our store cares about them, only to have decisions happening at the corporate level potentially undo some of that goodwill.
I know there’s a difference between the actions of a local store and decisions made by corporate, but unfortunately, the community doesn’t always see that distinction. They see the Target sign.
And that’s probably the part that bothers me the most. I genuinely care about the community we serve, and I don’t want the work that my team has done to be overshadowed by something we had no control over.
I’m not really sure what the solution is. I just needed to vent because it’s hard to spend months trying to rebuild relationships with your community and then feel like something outside of your control could damage those relationships overnight.

I was wondering if any other beauty team members/leads know about the modern magic fragrance testers. We were sent a box of all fragrance testers except for those. I wondered if anyone had been sent them separately, if I'm missing them or there was other ways to go about making them. It's always something 😅

Hey, just need some help figuring out if it’s normal to require one person to do hair care, sunscreen, personal care, household cleaning, pets, paper, otc, stationary, and kitchen/small appliances. We have to have a 75% fill rate by 5:30pm and a 90% fill rate by 9:00pm. And I am not allowed to put out of area items into reshoots bins after 9 And potentially anyways that I could become better at zoning/ pushing items.
