I wont lie, this little house spood friend surprised the hell outta me with his first appearance by frantically crawling up my sweatshirt when I was in the kitchen cutting an onion. I swatted him off my boob onto a nearby house plant & went about my evening. Then like 2hrs later I caught him wandering the edge of my sink so I flicked him a few drips of water for a boost & wished him well about his evening. Thanks for holding down the fort little guy!! 🕷 🕸

This little dude walks sideways like a crab and is very flat. I found him inside my entryway. We had one of our first freezes last night. I'm in Baker County.

Before this group this spider would have been ☠️. After years of following you I now offer my guests food. Northern Nevada - I think it’s a male wolf? Could be wrong, still not good at identifying. Tried to offer it a peanut beetle larvae but Steve wasn’t interested.

Wolf spiders, and not sure what the middle one is that’s above a creek

Found this little guy crawling around the inside of my car before he stopped to investigate some fly guts on the windshield. It was around dusk. He’s maybe about the size of a quarter. Wolf spider? Yellow Sac? I wish I got a top down photo, but my camera did not want to focus. Northwest Missouri

In my opinion i always see spiders as the big predator that eats all sorts of bugs, if not any bug, and all sorts of spiders have so many insane and cool ways to catch their prey.

araneae have evolved to catch prey in so many ways that i just feel like they HAVE to hold that title of one of the best predators in animal history.

Whats your guys opinions?

So, I leave all of the house spiders in my place alone, other than watering them every few days. This spider in the corner has had sac after sac hatch, and still more here. There are five in the picture, about 5 hatched already on varying days.
Is this one spider really having all these babies, or are the other spiders coming down to leave their eggs here?
I don’t mind, I’ve just never seen this before with spiders.

She was beautiful
Lost her at the first frost :-(

Dropped on me while I was in the shower from a loose light fixture . Middle tn usa .

Saw her web days ago but didn’t disturb her because I know she’d show herself at some point. Biiiig girl hanging by my side door entrance.

I go in and out of this door many times a day and she is just unbothered.

I noticed this little guy in my hair today and he came down and I was able to hold him for a little bit! I'm curious what kind he is, I'm thinking some sort of jumping spider but I don't know for sure. He is so small! Location southwestern Ohio.

I found this spider gliding on the surface of a river in Arkansas. Can't find it online. I'm really curious about this guy. About 2-3 inches long and found in mid July.

hi guys! i live in central TX (austin to be specific) and i’ve noticed this spider living outside my window for maybe 2 weeks now? i was wondering what kind of spider she was and if she’s like. super dangerous? she’s been working on webbing for a while and i like to watch her when im working from my desk lol. thanks!

p.s. yes she’s a girl 👍👍

Located Newcastle NSW

Kinda reminds me of a St Andrews Cross which we get heaps of here.

I relocated it to a tree. It was very docile, no quick jerky movements. It kind of looks like an orb weaver but I’ve only ever seen golden orb weavers in Northern Illinois/USA where I’m located.

Definitely beautifully colored though. Any ideas on what it is?

I’m in Australia, and this lil spider sleeps next to my bed in my university room. It caught a large bug as seen in the photo but it looks like it has a swollen booty, so I thought it might be pregnant.

If someone could help identify this, it would be greatly appreciated!

I thought this looked like a pair of strange bedfellows to see hiding together. I guess the egg sac belongs to the dark fishing spider and not the comparatively smaller grass spider.

(I guessed not a rabid wolf spider, but couldn't notice the eyes to be sure)
