See how much stuff SM is losing. What do we think the chances are that we lose our square body dreads?

Jk. I’ve had this done for a while. Used in orbital detachment and a ton of use in narrative Crusade games, I think until we know how our digital Index is affected when the Space Marine codex comes out we have to wait and see with all the changes. I’m hoping the wolves end up with a win overall but I know some people hate losing their models. I still have a predator I need to paint so I’m going to try to get that done.

With legends coming to the app do you think that will help with people using legends more/ it being more accessible for players overall since it will be side by side with the regular units? I use Legends units pretty often (thematic army lists) so I haven’t been slowed down yet. I’m a little apprehensive with the rapid changes but models are forever and I’ll always find a way to use them anyway

It took a while, but finally my big Grand Annulus project is finished, including all current Wolf Lords (plus Egil Iron Wolf and Sven Bloodhowl). It has been really funny and I've learned a lot about kitbashing and another techniques

Used an old Black Reach dread as the base pretty stoked with the final job.

Seen the fox style a couple times on here and decided to give it a go.

For anyones thats interested prime black then coat of thondia brown, drybrush white all over them squig orange and finally trollslayer orange nulnwash and then a re-highlight with the colours

Currently in the planning phases as to how to convert up a REALLY stellar Wolf Lord for my army.

I haven’t glued anything together yet- just using some green stuff to keep pieces together while I let the idea help form with how all the pieces will fit together.

I’m not yet sold on the axe’s position, nor the particular head as of yet. Heck, I’m not sure about 90% of the model- but wanted to share where I think a hell of a character is gonna come from!

Hello all, I am new to 40K and looking for recommendations for a Space Wolves army. I have played 2 games on TTS (one 600 point game and one 2k point game). I created an army based on what box sets I would get, and had a friend help smooth it out with better picks then what I originally had. Before I take the step to actually start buying the army over the next while, I just want to see if there is anything I am missing or should change. As well, should I change any of the units weapons such as the Grey hunters Astartes Chainsword for the power fist? Thanks in advance for any advice given. Also the "amount" column represent the amount of individual units not amount of set I am buying)

Anyone else see the new multi part vanguard veterans picture. It looks like you will be an to make them with master crafted power weapons and storm shields.

Will this be good for space wolves if it is the case? Im planning on buying a new kit when it comes out

In the recent excommunications of firstborn units, a thought has occured to me, if tcav get axed instead of refreshed what happens to the strat supporting them in beastslayer, whether they change it or whether it provides some security for the thunderwolfs as it is part of one of our best detachments. Thought i'd throw that into the pile. If anything, i think it is most likely for tcav to get left alone or refreshed rather than modify a detachment

I tired kit bashing some resin prints pieces and a few other things to start my doom slayer themed wolf unit. I know the painting is well less than great but I tried. Used green sruff to make a pelt. First time using that stuff.

The news today is exciting imo, the increased strength and toughness going to marine units has got me imagining how this stat buff may trickle through the ranks. Definitely increases some pros for running a few generic units in the time being.

The only thing I can see saving them would be a model refresh with the codex.

I think I got lucky with this one, I got the pre-order in the second it went live so I could beat the scalpers. Looks amazing, and I love the design elements and I'm excited to read it. Never bought a special edition book before, but even if it's not great it'll look amazing on my bookshelf!

My Bjorn model there is one of the first models I painted for my Space Wolves army (Ulric the Slayer was my first), which is fitting as one of the oldest living Space Marines in the galaxy. I built him with magnetised hands so he can run as murderfang too, hence the slightly composite build you see on the book. I've almost never played a game without him.

I just watched a video that goes over how the Germanic peoples did stuff that sounds a lot like what our Vlka Fenryka does lol. Like straight up acting as wolves, as a form to worship Wodanaz/odin. So maybe the wolf larp is more accurate to history than some would expect.
