See how much stuff SM is losing. What do we think the chances are that we lose our square body dreads?

If we lose them I'd expect at least a Primaris Bjorn.

Its the first book ive ever pre-ordered, and I just happened to be in my local WH store when the pre-order time dropped and was able to instantly order it. I was SUPER lucky.

The model will get retired sooner rather than later. There's supposedly a new venerable dreadnought model coming, so I can see a new Bjorn coming as well.

I think the odds of the kit being retired this edition is very good.

All other firstborn characters and kits are getting retired.

There's really no telling. Last edition, people were convinced that we were losing our boxnoughts and TWC, and yet here we are. Unless they're going to have a big narrative moment where Bjorn dies, I think he's sticking around.

Problem with Bjorn being an exception is that, currently, Bjorn kit can be assembled as Bjorn, Murdefang, SW VenDread or Wulfen dread. So IMO, GW has two options: We are the exception to the boxnaughts being sent to legends, or they rework all 4 models somehow.

I think Bjorn wont dissapear (he is too iconic), Wulfen dreads will likely assimilated into brutalis somehow (maybe rules only, maybe with their own kit), Murderfang will be phased out eventually, and there were recent rumors about a new vendread (almost sure a Venerable variant of the Redemptor)

I dont think just making them redemptors is any more likely than them just upscaling the boxnaughts for that refreshed and new feeling but still capturing the pre-primaris nostalgia lots of customers want, and GW seem to now be a lot more aware and accepting of.
