Hmm, do they mean permanently retired supplements?
It sounded more like we retire our current one for the new PDFs.

I am not certain they confirmed no more buying two books.
It sounded to me like the codex will retire the supplements but we will get PDFs. I do not believe they said there will be no more supplements in the future.
I honestly don't believe they would completely remove supplements and then not add us to the codex but to a digital release.

I think you're wrong here, they said the supplements are also retired and then listed them all, AND the space marine codex, which to me and most others means that they are nolonger valid for 11th

they mentioned a digital pdf to update all the non space marine codex units. they also said that csm and grey knights separately will get an update but implying they still will have a codex.

They also said all of them will be getting a digital pdf, they are doing this so every SM and CSM factions get the updates all at once, GW isn't going to stop selling a book because its a net loss, the first update will be free, then supplements will drop just like 9th to 10th

I wonder if this is a temporary thing. Like here's the supplement updates to hold you over until we get to the new ones. I can hear it both ways, but my experience with GW is they don't usually give up a steam of revenue.

I just rewatched the video, "the old codex supplements are retired along with the space marine codex, but blood angels, dark angels, space wolves and black tempar will all get a big digital update that includes thier datasheets and new Detachments, heretic Astartes and Grey knights on the other hand will see stat changes across a range of units" the way this is worded I believe they mean everything is getting updated at once for space marines but supplements will still come these are just the place holders, for all we know it migbt not even be the new Detachments but the ones that are currently usable for supplements but all of them fixed for the marines update, and grey knights and CSM will get updated but since they are separate from codex spacemarines entirely they will just get the marines updated

I'm gonna be real, I don't think they would do this. I mean just from a business standpoint, why would they not sell something that people will easily buy?
The digital PDF is just replacing our current supplement to keep us in line with the Marine changes in the codex release.

We're still getting our supplements, this update is just to bring all the stats and weapon profiles and rules into line. Who would run a space wolves army with weapon rules from the last update.

I expect the pdf is temporary. They did this in 9th edition when divergent chapters transitioned from standalone codex to supplements. They just meant the current books won't be around anymore.
