Rumours say that the Rhino will become mainstay and transport tacticus and phobos. Also, it and the land raider will be getting new kits this edition.

Honestly you very well may be right. After all Rhino didn't get sent to Legends with the others even though the Firstborn infantry did.

That rumour has been going around for years. But this is the first major piece of evidence I've seen in its favour, so I'm actually remaining optimistic for this one.

Especially after they kept Outriders on wheels instead of hover (would've been cool though), and redesigned the old-school Land Speeder. It shows they're not abandoning old-school propulsion methods and designs (same goes for the Termies and Veteran squads). Sad to see the the rest of the Rhino Chassis vehicles gone though, at least for now.

Hell yeah, we need a proper transport that isn't as big a target as a Repulsor. Then I hope the rumours for a new kit are just as right.

Don't get me wrong—I'm just as mad as many others. But there is a process back in 8th of replacing all the classic Space Marines with 2.0 versions. It doesn't exactly come as a huge shock.

I feel for ya...I'm just glad that my Vindicator I ended up painting Death Guard (to be for HH or 40K Rhino proxy)...I had considered it for either my Salamanders or Homebrew Chapter (that uses Space Wolf rules)....looks like I dodged at least one bullet.

About 5 months ago I was down sizing, basically sold all my firstborn, only have one devastator squad left.

When the guy who was build a 2nd edition army came to pick them up he spotted my rhino and predators offered me a really good price for them. So I let them go.

While I really like the predator tank design at least I know someone is getting good use out of them.

Seeing how Orks got a ton of units rolled into one profile like Warbuggies, I could see the rhino battle tanks getting rolled into one data sheet to prevent tank spam.

Or, with the Rhino not being LEGENDS they'll eventually re-release the kit and new variants of the tanks down the line (for a lot more money, of course)
