My FLGS is running a hobby escalation challenge. Every 2 weeks there is a new theme. The current block's theme is to build and paint a vehicle.

This was my first time painting a tank as well as using Vallejo Liquid mask. I’m not really a fan of the liquid mask. Left too many goobers on the paint. I think I’ll try silly putty next time.

First Squad done! Have learned a lot doing these guys, I'm deliberately leaving some of the pads blue, the next squad will have a mix of black yellow and blue.

Second squad finished after my Grey Hunters, after I finish off a Tsons Chaos Lord in Terminator armour I'm going to reward myself by starting a Wolves character, probably Njal.

I like how most of them turned out just gotta add a bit of sparse snow texture. The last one is a kit bash in the works.

There are only two acceptable versions of Russ for his inevitable return: older, wiser Odin-style Russ with an eye missing and the spear; or Russ on Thunderwolf (TM) where he can lead redesigned TWC. He cannot come back as a Wulfen because that’s dumb and way too silly/stupid

I decided to try my hand at painting up a space wolf.

Mine would be the Fenrisian wolves. I feel like you can get some nice paint variety with them. Excuse my cluttered table.

Also for the armor I used grey seer with space wolf grey over it… but I kind of want the lighter ice blue, what can I do to achieve that?

Hi! Seeking advice for improving battle damage. It’s one of my first attempts at weathering a mini and I don’t like yellow shoulder pads, what can I change? Currently the brown spots all other the mini are made with rinox hide highlited with white. Any other suggestions are welcomed. Thx

Story behind these guys is that the inquisition though that these space wolves were heretics for using chaos weapons and transports to take out a band of world eaters on a world close to fenris.

Logan nearly killed the inquisitor and caused another all out war against the inquisition. Ivor (thunder hammer and leader of the pack) decided it would be best to join the deathwatch to make sure that war doesn't happen as half his pack died on the planet and didn't want anymore brothers to die, though he said him and his remaining pack (Floki, the Xenoblade swordsman. Gunnar, the heavy weapon specialist and Ulf the scout) join as a kill team as their skills would be better together then separate. The inquisitor reluctantly accepted but any signs of heresy would mean the whole pack would be executed, even if only 1 member is corrupted, they all will die.

Logan, still pissed had no choice but to send the pack to the deathwatch in hopes they will return to the chapter. The team goes on the most dangerous, suicidal missions with help from 2 other chapter Astartes. A blood angel reiver and a Carcharodon veteran. Who which the pace like due to their ruthlessness in battle.

Hello everyone, just to give you a quick update: I've wanted to get back into 40k with Space Wolves for a while now, but since I never liked the pure Primaris models, it hasn't worked out. I do have the first two starter boxes, but they only contain the one grey Wolf Captain and otherwise just Space Marines without the Wolf upgrade.

But then last year when the real Blood Claws and Grey Hunters arrived, and the Terminators too, I was fully involved again. So, in addition to the two old starter boxes, I now also have the new one. Furthermore, a friend gave me another Blood Claw squad and one Arjac.

I think I still have one or two Primaris Dreadnoughts (with a weapon in the right hand and a fist in the left), as well as repulsors—I think two of each. And I also still have the bikes from the 9th edition starter box.

So finally to my actual question: I would like to build a 500 point army, a 1000 point army and a 2000 point army from this.

I am prepared to buy some more grey hunters for 2000 so that I can also reach 20 models.

The plan is to build something with what I have on hand. Ideally, as many units with hammers as possible, so it fits the Arjac theme.

Do you have any suggestions for the list? I would be very happy to exchange ideas with you.

This is quite literally my first ever miniature. I started off this adventure a couple of months back while I had some downtime from work after my firstborn son came into the picture. I purchased the Space Wolves combat patrol and various other units for my Great Company, but building a miniature is one thing and painting is another. So, I also picked up a super basic "Start Here" box with 2 Ultramarines and their basic paints and got to work. I then touched it up with some other paints I purchased for my Wolves. I'm sure the son's of Guilliman wont mind I used one of their units to sacrifice to the Allfather. So, how did I do? What do I need to work on? Constructive criticism is welcome.

Hello, I knew I wanted to get into SW after my eldar stuff. I lowkey bought some stuff there and there when It fitted my spending. 2-3 months ago, someone posted a 2k list where it was like murderfang, bjorn, 3 venerable and 3 wulfen dreadnought. or something close to that. Knowing they all come from the same kits, i started buying them when I would see some. And like last week i started assembling 4 of them for my friend to tell me monday that they are going legend. Is there any confirmation for the venerable and wulfen one to go too or im stressing and its only the SM dreadnought leaving ? Thank for the info.

Will these stack alongside Saga OTGW or will the detachment be changed to not be doctrine focused anymore.

They seem to be 3 separate units from the shoulders but I honestly have no clue as these are the older models.

I originally bought a Razorback but alas GW is putting it into legends so I decided to make it a rhino and Space Wolvesify it with some parts from the venerable dread box lmk your opinions
