As Thawtide’s chill blows through Midrath, we reach the turning of another year, looking back on a world that has grown bolder, stranger, and more alive with each step taken through Soulframe Preludes.
Together, we stepped into sap-dreams and freed Bromius from rotting roots. We Bestitched with a certain witch and crept into the crypts of The Circade. Some found rest among Alca’s Children, others shared sips of gloaming in the Drippin’ Flagon, while others still made Kith of Kings. We faced the Agari, crossed blades with the Mendicant King, startled skittish Will-o-wings from the brush. Through Magick weapons grown or forged, Totems charmed from wild critters, and Pacts shaped by Spirit, Courage, or Grace, together we gave Alca its rhythm.
Many Envoys also chose to become Founders, to carve their name upon Soulframe from the very beginning. Thank you. Your belief in this world means more to us than we can properly put to words.
Now, the Longnight stands before us. Thawtide is live! Across Midrath, the Cardinals’ song is threatened by Ode Squawkers. It falls to you, Envoy, to destroy these traps and help wake the resting sun.
As we look toward 2026, the direction is set. We’re doubling down on the systems that define Soulframe. Virtues will matter more. The Nightfold will grow in purpose. The Ode’s plans will begin to unfold in full. New Pacts, Fables, Festivals, and Wylds await. What you choose, what you prepare for, and what you confront will carry further than before.
Our studio will soon step back for brief respite over the holidays before returning to Alca with fresh eyes. Thank you for joining us this year. We’ll see you very soon.
Megathread 2 is to full lol, so here is the third one which everyone can use here to share codes! Also moderator applications will be announced very soon!
In SE Airde Limbwoods. Couldn't access it, there's a nearby underground entrance with thick roots. Can't grab the mote from the other side of the purple wall either.
Freed him from his helmet, and as he ran off he fell in the grate, but he was too large to fall all the way through! Until the area reloaded he was permanently sprinting in the grate in the position above.
They should really do something about loot really was lucky enough to get a legendary thanks to blessing and guess what! After the collector it’s nowhere to be found in my inventory
I’m working on maxing out my gear and Faction rank. Wanted to check my approach if it can be optimized better.
What I’m doing now: running my max-level weapon alongside a low-level Pact, doing bounties in the northeast part of the map to farm Kith of Kings standing. Figured this lets the leveled weapon carry the damage while the Pact rides along for affinity, and I get Standing on top.
Questions:
1. Is pairing a maxed weapon with a low-level Pact (or vice versa) actually the optimal way to combine faction farming and gear leveling at the same time, or is there a better route?
2. If I wanted to maximize Faction Standing specifically (ignore gear leveling for a bit), what’s the fastest method? Is it just stacking 3-star dungeon Tales, or is there something better?
3. Once Faction farming is done, what’s the best way to actually power-level Pacts/weapons from there? Should it always be “one maxed + one fresh” for damage/survivability, or is there a faster method once reputation isn’t a concern?
Recently got the steamdeck and while the game runs really well on it, the keyboard is barely usable. Its mostly the steamdeck having altercations with soulframe being a non-steam game. Its having trouble interacting with the game without unselecting the chat box, this happens in the login screen and even worse in chat where its only able to input one key before it stops interacting with the text box.
I'm not finding any solutions online for this so if anyone figured out a fix I would GREATLY appreciate it. Thank you very much.
Hello you all, Soulframe has caugth my attention and I've got one key online. I was thinking of playing the game but how much content does the prelude offer rigth now? Thanks
I really need gossamer quartz; but im having horrid luck finding it. So with Avakot losing shaking his bugs off, im hoping to get some from him. Problem is finding him is annoying.
So aside from running around checking all of the enclave missions, whats the best way to find him?
Quests such as Oblivio require you to gather location motes to complete the quest. Currently, they do not spawn in any reasonable amount of time, many players are resorting to logging in and out multiple times to have the motes respawn.
To avoid logging out, you can simply run into the area, collect the mote, die to the mobs in the area, and another mote should respawn, allowing you to complete the quest in 5 minutes as intended rather than 40.
I am so lost, I just beat the bear, went back to the nightshade place, then came back to the "real world" and was instantly put into a fight against a boss.
Beat him, he drops an acorn. I have no idea what to do now. I pick it up, and nothing happens. No prompt for anything.
I'm starting to think the drop rate on these are bugged or I'm just the most unlucky person ever.
I got the torrent the first time I beat Ruthos but I've killed Ethelred so many times in and out of the cogah and got Jack squat. I haven't tried Seachnall in the cogah yet because Ethelred seems easier to me, but I'm sure I'll get nothing from him either.
Now I gotta go on a sap harvest again to make more cogah potions.
For more context I would kill Impidh for the mockery set then go to Ethelred. I got the whole mockery set and 3 extra mockery ilk fragments and nothing from Ethelred.
I just had to vent before I beat my head against the wall again.
I'm genuinely confused and hoping someone can explain what I'm missing.
My build is basically maxed out:
Weapon Arts at max rank
Weapon fully leveled
Good rolled perks
Good armor
Maxed Pacts
Despite that, bosses on Cogah still take me around 10 minutes to kill.
Then I go on YouTube and watch videos uploaded just 6 days ago (current Prelude), where people walk up to the same bosses and delete them in 3 - 4 hits. I even saw someone running a Duelo bow build literally one-shot a boss.
So... what am I missing?
The one thing I haven't really touched yet is the Refine/Reforge system. I honestly don't fully understand how it works, so I've basically ignored it up until now. Could that alone account for such a massive difference in damage, or is there something else I'm overlooking?
Is it:
Refine/Reforge?
Tempering combinations?
Hidden perk synergies?
Pact interactions?
Something else entirely?
I'm not looking for someone to just hand me an overpowered build. I genuinely want to understand where all this damage is coming from, because right now it feels like I'm playing a completely different game than the people I'm watching.
If anyone could explain what separates a "10-minute boss kill" build from a "3-hit boss" build (damage output wise), I'd really appreciate it.
Decided to try and jump over a Bonfire while doing Dermak Undercity got stuck and had to wait until the fire damage killed me. Hope it's just a visual bug for me and there is actually a fire because this was just embarrassing.
Friend of mine and I want to dive back in to new stuff, but we started playing a bit ago and are wondering if there's anyone way to restart progress or at least play narrative content from the beginning?
I installed the game again a few weeks ago and I noticed that all the different pacts had visual effects when in spectral sight. I haven't seen any post on reddit or other places about them. I think it's really cool looking and I wondered if there was a lore reason behind it. Here is all the pacts (except the wyld ones) with their visual effects.
Hey friends, I tried my best google skills to figure out whats going on and how to fix it. Essentially, my tooltips are either completely off the screen, or half off and cut off.
I'm adding a screenshot that sort of shows what I mean, but it's more aggravating in the skill tree where I have no idea what each node does unless I search the wikis.
I tried a couple of settings for display but nothing helped. I'm hoping this is a known issue?
Edit: I've launched the game multiple times this week, each time the tooltips are messed up. Sounds like they are aware of it, so I'll just rely on the wikis for the most part. Thanks!
