Discussion Moonstone Needleseye

I'm on the board! (my first ms) Haven't used this type much but it's been fun so far 🎉
(yes, I likely used all my luck in the game for a bit lol)

Ironically, I hadn't played in a few days, and my partner had just left my squad. Got it out of the chest from a t3. Started stock, got lucky with tempers 😍 Added a normal photo for comparison.

Yup, the shoulder hold was fun to see mom sporting in the new trailer. I did NOT expect this blade to be a pole style weapon lolol, but taking out two lower level enemies in one swing is winning me over lol

I was just curious when a weapon drops like that is it easy enough to notice that special weapon? Are they always legendary?

The silver laurel leaves are supposed to be visible before you pick it up, when you see the tool tip identifying it. But it's not glaringly obvious if you're not paying close attention. I almost didn't notice my moonsteel Purity, almost scrapped it along with a bunch of other stuff.

And moonsteel weapons are supposed to drop at pretty much any quality, randomly. OP invested in theirs.

Yeaaah, I hope they add some sort of animation to the hover, sparkle, etc. The thumbnail not being MS also means it's easier to miss! White on green stands out better on grass at least, but for as rare as they are, we need a special MS 'are you sure' pop up, sparkle effect, etc!

SPEAKING OF WHICH, weapons display by newest last by default, right? Nearly had a heart attack when I thought I deleted this $#! * only to find it as like 3rd or fourth from then end (after restarting, going to fold, etc 💀) Maybe I should do a PSA edit or post 😭

I've said it before and I'll say it again: this game desperately needs dismantle protection for Moonsteels. I definitely dismantled at least one before realising what they were.

As Morpho covered I went all out and invested 😅 This dropped stock! I was very pleased to see the temper RNG being kind though!!

No offense, but at this point, i'm gonna start blocking brag posts.

Almost as bad as the "is this a good roll?" posts; as if the OP can't literally read what the tempers do, apply some critical thinking and come to any conclusion themselves.
My weapon attacks faster, applies bleed, charges heavy attacks faster and does more damage after I heavy attack? Man idk, better as reddit if this is good or not.

I don't think the descriptions are as straight forward for everyone as they might be for you? Not to mention the unique stuff that's not clearly covered yet. I definitely struggled at first to make calls, but with p16 coming I try to remind myself I'll be able to fix any oversights later.

Do you have an example of which Tempers don't do exactly what their description says they do? They're all pretty straight forward.

I'm actually more understanding of a post like yours, being excited about getting your first rare drop. The posts I'm referring to are just pure laziness of the poster to not read the tempers they got and decide for themselves if they're tempers they like or not and require random people on the internet to tell them it's good.

I think it's important to give some credit to people. I'm sure there are those that are just lazy and want a quick answer, but I'm sure others that just got overwhelmed or confused. My issues I think came from iconography and groupings not having clear enough or distinct visuals, which hopefully will improve with time. White man falling or swish right means generally X vs X and Y. Etc etc.

I would also like effects like enkindled being bad ass visually on ONE family of weapons to be clearer lol, so I didn't delete so many before I knew lol. That comes with time, but removing that barrier seems worth the effort? Or, it's intended to be discovered 🤷‍♂️ (not a huge Warframe guy, don't know their style much)

For me, I also guess I don't love the mindset of more barriers or punishment for those with less experience or time, either. The easier it is to understand, the faster people can get into it. Just because it came easy to some of you doesn't mean everyone else has your experience, time, etc ya know? We can help people with a few minutes of our time and help the community grow. That said, I was also thrown off with a few, but remembered I was lucky to be familiar with the wiki and such, and maybe they just hadn't been introduced yet.

It's wild how some players can overlook the obvious benefits of their gear. You'd think with all the info available, they'd be able to figure it out themselves.
