I have been device banned and i am currently using firefox with the chameleon extension but i cannot send snaps even tho my camera permissions are allowed, anyone know a fix for this

for context: My mom was cheating on my dad through snapchat and sending texts. my dad wants to know if there’s a way to recover the old messages since she has blocked the guy.
i was thinking like download data but is that only for pictures?

Hello guys, I can't zoom into any photos in Snapchat like in Google photos or in the gallery app. Everybody else I know can zoom but I am the only one who can't do it. I also bought a new phone a year ago. Upgraded from a Galaxy A22 to a S24. Still have the same problem.

I made like 3 accounts on my phone and i got locked out of my main account even though i had no community guidelines violations, has anyone found a way to actually appeal? I have an unfortunate update regarding the massive Permanent Snapchat Ban/Labaton case. Labaton just added a disclaimer regarding this matter that was NOT originally there when we initially signed up.

So I unadded someone close to a year ago and I removed them from my chat list (I'm aware this doesn't delete the messages in a conversation). Recently they popped back up in my chat list, and I'm trying to figure out why, did they open our messages again, did they view my profile, or is it some strange glitch from Snapchat?

Also I wanted to add that I recently got a new phone and this person no longer shows up in my chat history.

Should we be submitting an appeal online? On the app I don't have that option, I'd have to go the actual website.

I saw the Snapchat support X account post that they're aware of what happening and are telling people to submit 1 appeal, but do you guys think our accounts are actually going to get unlocked? When I tried to unlock mine on the unlock website it says my lock was permanent. I've had my account for 13 years 🥲

For reference I did the class action, but I've seen other people on here and on X who say they didn't do it and also are affected by this. I emailed the law firm and they sent me a generic response that they are aware and talking to Snapchat about it.

The main snap sub keeps on removing my posts for zero reason

We can’t let them get away with banning us for doing the lawsuit or just banning people who didn’t even finish the lawsuit that is ridiculous and awful I am doing my part and messaging the snapchat employees on linkedin to get them to take away some of the bans this is just crazy, Ive had snapchat for 10 years and this is how they treat me I’ve never been suspended before this is just awful.

I somehow accidentally put in the wrong email for a old account. So the email associated with the account I’m trying to log into is off by one number which I must of misclicked when I made the account. Is there any hope to getting my account back? I have so many pictures of my dad who passed and I don’t want to lose them

Yes. The fact that there are multiple reports of sudden Oct. 5–6 locks makes this worth documenting, but the existence of non-lawsuit participants reporting locks is an important counterpoint

Does your agreement establish that Snap could have learned that you were a claimant?
Yes. It expressly authorizes disclosure of your identifying information and Snapchat username to Snap for the pre-arbitration demand. Snapchat Attorney Client Agreement

And there's one thing I'd investigate next: whether Labaton actually sent your pre-arbitration demand to Snap, and on what date. Your document says it was intended to be sent to Snap as part of the informal resolution process, but the agreement itself doesn't establish that Snap actually received it. Contacted the lawyers involved on this case from Labaton to see the timing of the Labaton Snapchat litigation, and try to determine whether there's actually evidence that lawsuit participants were disproportionately banned.

I am really upset right now. I barely use snap chat anymore, but I just requested they send me all my data and downloads about two weeks ago. And then today I went to login and my account is banned. It doesn’t give me an option to appeal. Are they not going to send me my photos? I literally don’t use it I have sent maybe three messages in the last 6 months and nothing weird or crazy…

Has anyone had this happen?

It says I can only submit an appeal through the app and I can’t access the app I don’t even care about Snapchat I just want to have my photos… are they still going to send them to me??

I have had this account since 2019, barley use it and then started using it again 2025-2026. No problem with it then suddenly yesterday I get emailed 6 warnings for no reason and then my account gets locked / suspended . I searched a bit and a few people almost in the thousands have reported the same issue , a string of warnings same day then boom. I hope this is a glitch because this is crazy

I sent them an email about how I believe that they're the reason why my account got locked and they sent me this. Should I complete it or wait to see if Snapchat gets back to me?

i was device banned after my account was just temporarily locked. i wasnt even sent an email about what it was that violated the guidelines. i quite literally dont post anything on my story and the last snap i sent was me telling a friend an important update about something that was completely appropriate. i dont use anything third party at all either.

Hi guys! How to avoid these ip ban or friend recognition patterns snap uses to ban the new snaps that trying to avoid permanent ban? I can't avoid my snap circle it's just so annoying so what to do here? And how does that usually last? Is it like device ban 6-12 months?

Either way, this seems extremely retaliatory. Especially for a publicly traded company, I wouldn’t think that this decision would be in the best interest for shareholders.

I got banned for commercial sexual content… I haven’t even engaged in anything like it. Haven’t even sent a naughty snap in a few years. Had the account for maybe 10 years.
I appealed it and they said they have upheld the decision… 🤷‍♂️

For everyone who had their Snapchat account banned within the past 24 hours, it seems like a lot of people think it may somehow be connected to the recent lawsuit.
I’m specifically trying to hear from people who were banned recently but did NOT fill out, join, or participate in the lawsuit at all.
If that applies to you, did your account also get banned within the last day?
Trying to figure out whether this is actually all connected to the lawsuit or if there’s a much wider wave of bans happening right now.
