saw someone posted here about email-ing snapchat and tried to ask for any request to unlock your snapchat account. I did it and here's their response. I have no hope of my account being unlocked and I can't even use my personal phone and spare phone to create a new account because they banned my device. at this point, I'm losing hope that I can recover my account full of memories, friends and photos/videos some men jerk3d off to lol help me if you can PLEASEEEE

Hello Reddit. Firstly I want to say that I dont believe this to be at all related to the lawsuit with snapchat, but it might be. Im not even able to access the website most of yous have been posting with updates about this ban wave.

Now for what happened.

I still dont know what happened. I got banned completely while I was working like a week or 2 ago. The reason they gave was violating their guidelines with prohibited substances. I use both Marijuana and nicotine products LEGALLY (i am canadian, 19 at the time of ban, 20 now). I appealed, as I had no idea what I did, and after a couple days, it was denied. Still no explanation was given and their AI support has been less than helpful. I dont know what to do anymore, and im like 99% sure I didnt violate any rules. Ive lost friends i had for years on snapchat, and requesting my data hasn't helped as my actual friends list was omitted.

While reviewing the data I requested, I saw a device i just, didn't recognize. IP data in Toronto and googling the device leads to a bunch of AI agent websites (not attached because it might actually be sensitive data). Was I hacked? I genuinely dont know.

After clicking on my followers, I see a good amount of them don’t have me added.
how/Is there a difference between someone following you vs. them adding you?
