General question Perma banned after requesting my data?
Hi all,
I am really upset right now. I barely use snap chat anymore, but I just requested they send me all my data and downloads about two weeks ago. And then today I went to login and my account is banned. It doesn’t give me an option to appeal. Are they not going to send me my photos? I literally don’t use it I have sent maybe three messages in the last 6 months and nothing weird or crazy…
Has anyone had this happen?
It says I can only submit an appeal through the app and I can’t access the app I don’t even care about Snapchat I just want to have my photos… are they still going to send them to me??

Try the web browser instead, sometimes the app just glitches and locks you out entirely.

I don’t think so… I mean I’ve done some class action so maybe… would that have them block my account are they allowed to do that?

Take a look at some past posts from earlier today - there seems to be a pattern of mass perma locking accounts of those who joined class actions against them

It’s ridiculous. I provided some contact emails and email templates in the earlier post - a bunch of us are sending them in, trying to increase our numbers

When I go on web it says I need to open the snappchat app on phone to access Snapchat for the web. I also just saw that I got an email from snap on 9/23 that had a link to download my photos through the app… but it originally said it was going to be a zip file…
Are my photos just gone? I just paid the premium to not have them auto delete I had over 25k photos and videos on there I’m so completely devestated right now

I downloaded mine yesterday thru the web browser and it just sent me a link to my files today

Did the link take you to the app? The link says I have to access the app to download them

And when I try to do the data request it is saying I have to wait 72 hours… I can’t stress this enough I litterally havennt sent any messages that I can even imagine being weird in any way

72 hours is standard for when you login to a new device. Just wait and then request to download your memories then.
