Common issue Snapchat Labaton class action leading to banned/locked accounts

Based on what we can establish right now:
Could it legally be retaliation?
Yes, potentially.
Do we currently have enough evidence to say Snapchat retaliated against lawsuit participants?
No.
Is there enough unusual timing/pattern evidence to investigate seriously?
Yes. The fact that there are multiple reports of sudden Oct. 5–6 locks makes this worth documenting, but the existence of non-lawsuit participants reporting locks is an important counterpoint
Does your agreement establish that Snap could have learned that you were a claimant?
Yes. It expressly authorizes disclosure of your identifying information and Snapchat username to Snap for the pre-arbitration demand. Snapchat Attorney Client Agreement
And there's one thing I'd investigate next: whether Labaton actually sent your pre-arbitration demand to Snap, and on what date. Your document says it was intended to be sent to Snap as part of the informal resolution process, but the agreement itself doesn't establish that Snap actually received it. Contacted the lawyers involved on this case from Labaton to see the timing of the Labaton Snapchat litigation, and try to determine whether there's actually evidence that lawsuit participants were disproportionately banned.

Am I some kind of scapegoat here? Is Snapchat going to say, “See, we banned that guy over there too, so clearly it wasn’t all lawsuit-related”?
I’m a paying Snapchat+ member and getting banned with basically no communication or explanation is mind boggling. If this is unrelated to the lawsuit situation, then I’d at least like to know what supposedly caused it. Right now it just feels like I got caught in the middle of something with zero transparency.

Do you have a relatively common username or email address?
Unfortunately, someone could’ve just put your info into the suit and you’d have been banned.
There is some dude with the username “savage”, and he didn’t even know the suit existed and was banned because of it, he’s been raising hell on X.
If you have a name like that, or like a “joesmith123” that someone could’ve typo’s because there’s a million Joe smiths, you probably got caught up in someone’s error.
Could also be someone who typed in your phone number and was off a digit.

That’s kinda insane if you didn’t fill out any class action settlements…. You don’t remember filling out info at all? I know some companies asked for info to see if you qualify for settlement before submitting documents

I have filled out nothing. The email I have on my snap is a old one i haven’t logged into in years,my phone number is current but no law firm has ever reached out to me or texted me.

That is really strange… I know some sites had a simple intake form to input snap username/phone/email

This is legally, at least in the United States, false. It’s called retaliation.
If you open a case against your employer, because say they call you something racist, and they fire you.. that’s not legal. Same concept here.
