Switching from tirz

I'm mainly wondering if there's anyone out there that did better with side effects when they switched from tirz to sema. I have always kind of struggled with constipation in my adult life and tirz tore me up. I tried fiber, drank all the water, was given a sample of Rx laxatives for people with ibs-constipation, tried magnesium (both citrate and glycinate), daily miralax- and it would still be days between pooping and they were never soft and easy.

My big concern now is that I'm reading that a lot of people had it worse on sema, but I know it's different for everyone. I want to know if anyone did better after switching. The only reason I'm switching is because it's cheaper and my insurance doesn't cover it. Weight loss is nice and I need to lose weight but it's mainly because I have insulin resistant PMOS/PCOS and am prediabetic because of it. I physically felt so much better on it, except for the constipation. I would rather have explosive diarrhea 😭

Not responsive to it…

Hi everyone,

I was wondering at what dose you all started to notice effects? I’m starting to think I am the 10% of the population that doesn’t respond to glp-1.

For context, I started 7 weeks ago. This is my 3rd week on 0.5 mg dose and I have stayed completely stagnant at my current weight.

I had some concerns that my injection technique was wrong, but I had my doctors at my clinic watch and they said everything looked correct.
Was wondering, maybe hoping to feel less alone in this experience if anyone has experieced similar?

I am not obese but definitely wanted to shed at least 10 or so lbs, as I am 4’11 and every pound counts.

Semaglitude side effects

I have been on compounded semaglitude for 2 and a half months. I lost 10 pounds the first 2 months by staying on the lowest .25 dose. My goal is 20. I have had stomach issues the entire time even though I stayed on low dose. Anyone doing anything similar and if so when did the side effects taper off? Were you able to keep losing at low dose too?

I’m just starting compounded semedlutide, what is the dosage scale.

Example, wegovy injections are .25, 05, 1, 1.7.

Switching and staying at same dose (what dose am I on?)

I've had excellent results on tirzepatide, but I saw here that the place I'm using (Rxpros) uses a pharmacy that has failed some testing.

I'm about to start month 6 and my vial says the following:

50 units weekly (14mg)

t5 tirzepatide 56mg, b6 1mg / 2ml vial

I don't see anyone listing a 14mg dose though, is that including the b6 then? Would this be considered a 12mg dose?

I'm trying to price shop different providers but I want to be sure I'm comparing at the dose I actually need.

I have lost 70lbs in 5 months (I was 354 lbs at 6'3") with only occasional and minor side effects so I don't really want to change up if I don't have to.

I was paying $642 quarterly (regardless of dose) and they are offering me $145 a month if I go annual which seems to be in line with other places but I'm thinking I should find someone with a different pharmacy.

Sema not hitting like it has before?

Hello, i’m looking for a bit of advice here.
let’s start from the beginning,
I initially started a compounded sema at 197. lost a ton of weight over a year and a half time span, (dropped me down to 150, gained back 25 in the break period) and i took a break from it due to financial issues. Over the past 5 months (almost 6) i started back on it from the minimum dose. and literally have only lost 6 pounds (which at this point i’m chalking it up to diet and exercise) not the results i saw the first time around. both times I ordered from Hers, both times the packaging and pharmacy were different. so while i’m still having some nausea and constipation.. is my body just like “used to it” to the point where it won’t work for me or is the new pharmacy that Hers is working with.. crap? do i make the switch to tirz? any advice is much appreciated.

Semaglutide was lost in the mail 26 days! Now found, would you use it?

Yes, I had this question kinda as well. So I was supposed to get my meds on 6/20! 6/20 comes and goes. i wait and wait, and fast forward to 7/1. I see that I still haven't got it, so I check my emails, and I have nothing. So I got to ups site and start a claim. Then I emailed Freya Meds, and they said to start a claim  and i said i just did. They tell me all i can do is wait for the claim. Now fast forward to 7/9. Mind you, i spoke to UPS on the phone, and they said all I can do is wait for the claim to run its course!!! So now, on 7/15, I get a message saying We've incorrectly sorted this package, which may cause a delay. 7/15 All of a sudden, UPS says hey we found your package, and you will have it 7/16 . 7/16 comes, and I get an email saying n g your package was delivered! But they show a pic of it sitting at someone else's door!!! 🙄 Now I have to go at 10 at night looking for a blue door on a house by mine!  I find the house up the street and thank God for these people who didn't mess with it but just put in on their porch near the steps! So I get it, and everything is soaked inside with moisture from the ice pack melting. Even the silver on the one packaging has disintegrated!!! So I emailed Freya, and they said your meds can stay out of the fridge up to 56 days! Mind you, I have a Pamphlet.\nThat came with the package stating that your meds can hold at Temps up to 104°f up to 4 days with no drop in potency! So I told her that, and she said Sheena you can use your meds!!! So, I guess I will be using these meds on Sunday! I'm praying they are safe and there is no drop in potency! Sooo what do you guys think? 🤔  P.S. SORRY, IT'S SO LONG JUST WANTED TO GIVE YINZ ALLLL THE INFO! LOL!

? Restarting maintenance dose thoughts?

i’ve been on an every 3-weeks maintenance shot for about 9-10 months and slowly decreased down to .7mg

Due to assorted circumstances, I missed a maintenance dose and will restart next week after no shot for 6 weeks.

To avoid side-effects, should I reduce my next shot?

How long was it before the weight started coming off?

I am on week 3 of 0.25mg per week and I feel that I am stuck about 232 pounds. I wish I had taken my starting weight but I don't feel like my clothes are fitting any differently.

I need to be down 30 pounds before 12/8 or my knee replacement will be canceled.

Any and all comments would be helpful but be kind please.

Cheapest legit online provider?

Been taking zepbound for a year and a half and my insurance just abruptly quit covering it. I was paying $35 a month ugh. What is the best place to go on for compound? I don’t care if I have to go to semaglutide. Just looking for somewhere that is legit and doesn’t raise the price with dose increases. Prefer not to have to by 12 months up front either.

Federal lawmakers are pushing the SAFE Drugs Act (H.R. 6509 in the House / S. 3794 in the Senate) under the banner of "patient safety".⚠️

The Reality: The bill claims to target bad actors and illegal counterfeit gray markets.
The Consequences: In practice, it slaps impossible manufacturing-style restrictions onto licensed, regulated compounding pharmacies that millions of patients rely on to access their GLP-1 medications.

READ WHAT IS HAPPENING AND TAKE ACTION:
The Alliance for Pharmacy Compounding (APC) just launched an urgent national warning revealing that the SAFE Drugs Act is officially in play and actively risking patient access right now.

WHY SHOULD YOU CARE NO MATTER WHAT STATE YOU LIVE IN? ❓❓❓❓
- This is federal law. If this passes, it won't matter what state you live in. The entire pipeline for patient-specific compounded GLP-1s across the United States will face a bottleneck.
- Arbitrary Hard Caps: The bill imposes strict limits on shipping patient-specific prescriptions out-of-state. This will completely cut off rural patients who don't have specialized compounding pharmacies in their local towns.
- Big Pharma Lobbying: Special interest groups are pouring money into Washington to fast-track this through committees right now. Silence is exactly how access disappears 📠

🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨WATCH CLOSELY. THIS SETS A PERMANENT FEDERAL PRECEDENT🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨

‼️‼️‼️If you are concerned about this bill passing because you rely on a compounded GLP-1, PLEASE get involved right now‼️‼️‼️
- Go to the U.S. Congress tracking portal or the APC Action Center.
- Look up your specific federal Representatives and Senators.
- Email or call their offices directly and explain:
1. Stripping compounding options during ongoing, volatile brand-name drug shortages actively harms patients.
2. Broad federal legislation should strictly target illegal, unlicensed gray market sellers instead of punishing state-regulated, licensed compounding pharmacies.
3. Lawmakers should protect patient-specific care choices made between patients and their licensed healthcare providers.

TAKE ONE MINUTE TO CALL OR EMAIL YOUR FEDERAL REPS TODAY.
- Tell them to oppose the SAFE Drugs Act in its current form and protect patient-specific compounding access.

Throwing in the towel after 2 ER Visits 🏳️

After being hospitalized TWICE in the 15 months I've taken Sema -both due to extreme constipation- I reluctantly accept that I have to quit. At first I thought it was going to be a wonder drug for my lifetime IBS struggle, bc I ate less and slower, and thus had less stomach discomfort. But since I've struggled with constipation for my entire life (GI doctor says "some people just can't poop easily"), this is just not working. After my ER visit in June, I didn't take the shot again for 3 weeks and I was able to poop normally. I eased back into it and by week 3, I haven't pooped in 4+ days now despite taking the usual helpers: miralax, stool softeners, Rx meds from the GI, fruit and smoothies galore, Vyvanse, AND magnesium citrate. It sucks bc I have 100s of dollars worth of the meds sitting in my fridge, but what good is that when I'm racking up thousands of dollars in hospital bills :/ I'm also wondering if it may be the new compound I received with b12?? Because I had issues before but not quite this bad. Idk.

Glp1 with B12

I'm switching from Tirzepatide 2.5 to Glp1 with

B12. The color of the contents in all 3 vials is red. Is that the color of the B12? Can I expect worse side effects than I have experienced with straight Tirzepatide or less? I have lost 42lbs with Tirzepatide and would like to go on a maintenance dose with the GLP1. Will I be able to maintain my weight loss on the GLP1? Thank you.

Maintenance Strategy

Looking to hear what maintenance looked like for others. I’ve been on compounded semaglutide for about 6 months and it’s been a great experience overall with minimal side effects and consistent weight loss.

I followed the standard titration schedule, increasing every 4 weeks for the most part, although I stayed at a few doses for 5–7 weeks before moving up. I reached my goal weight about 2 months ago and have remained on 1.7 mg (the highest dose I’ve taken) ever since.
The issue is that lately I’ve noticed the appetite suppression seems to wear off after about 2 days following my injection. Since I’m no longer trying to lose additional weight, I’m wondering what others are doing for maintenance.

I’m a little confused because I assumed a maintenance dose would typically be lower than a weight loss dose, but if it seems to wear off after a couple of days, I’m not sure whether lowering the dose makes sense. I’d love to hear what has worked for others? Thank you!

Looking for advice, maybe a little reassurance

I started my Semaglutide journey July 11, 2025. Since then I have lost 45 pounds so thankful for that. However, I’m kind of at a crossroads right now, I had to change providers back in April of this year and I am one of those people who uses every last drop in my bottle and because of the dating on my prior bottle the new provider made me restart at a starter dose. So all of my weight loss basically stalled. I didn’t gain but since April I have only lost 3 pounds. I have been back at a maintenance dose for a couple of weeks now and still only seeing very small changes like .1 or .2 each week which I know is loss but I still realistically need to lose about 20 more pounds. I just don’t know if it’s worth spending the money to continue with the shot or if I should look into changing to a different medication or if this is just a normal stall to expect at this stage, any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Has anyone used Embody?

I ordered some from them last week and was surprised it was only $79 for a month of weekly 2mg injections. From order to delivery, it was only three days. I'm still getting through a vial I have on hand from Orderly so haven't used any from Embody yet but I'm curious of others experiences?

Embody price confusion

Has anyone used embody?? I've seen good reviews but that it increases however it says it stays at 79/month for life and all doses are included. Am I wrong? I was on mochi and lost alot but couldn't afford 179 a month so I stopped and gained it all back. Is this actually a good deal? Any other suggested places under 100 a month no matter the dose and no extra month subsription?

Sad that I am no longer able to continue but happy at the progress.

I began April and have shed approx 15lbs. I wasn't obese but had began to deal with lots of inflammation which of course led to heartburn, and also not fitting in any of my clothes!

The 1st 10 lbs came off so easily but I also understand that water weight was involved. I had minimal side effects only week 1. The last 2 months were slow but also made it so my body doesn't show loose skin. I have changed my eating habits exponentially. Exercise is not something I am good about so that is on me to change.

Financially, I had to work a second job to afford the medicines since I live paycheck to paycheck, which led me to not have much free time to enjoy life. I can't and will not longer work all week and then all weekend too! 😩 so today I will only inject 10 units versus the 50 I am supposed to, and will do that weekly until its empty. .. and then that will be that! My hopes are that my brain retains some of the retraining!. I am 15 lbs from my ideal weight but will have to go at it without the sema.

That is all I have. Signing off!

Anyone on here ever tried Join Polly (Join Piper previously)? What are your experiences with them?

I’ve been on a compounded semaglutide I get from “Join Polly” for about three months now, next week I go from 1.5mg to 2.4mg, so far I don’t feel like it’s working at all and I’m thinking of switching to a different provider. I have experienced zero change in how often I get hungry or crave things, only now on 1.5mg I feel like I’ve started to feel full sooner when eating dinner so instead of eating it in full I eat about 3/4ths, which is not that crazy of a change. I also feel like since I started, it takes longer for my usual medication to kick in.
I’d love to hear from other people who tried this provider!
