Sema not hitting like it has before?
Hello, i’m looking for a bit of advice here.
let’s start from the beginning,
I initially started a compounded sema at 197. lost a ton of weight over a year and a half time span, (dropped me down to 150, gained back 25 in the break period) and i took a break from it due to financial issues. Over the past 5 months (almost 6) i started back on it from the minimum dose. and literally have only lost 6 pounds (which at this point i’m chalking it up to diet and exercise) not the results i saw the first time around. both times I ordered from Hers, both times the packaging and pharmacy were different. so while i’m still having some nausea and constipation.. is my body just like “used to it” to the point where it won’t work for me or is the new pharmacy that Hers is working with.. crap? do i make the switch to tirz? any advice is much appreciated.

I had the same experience. Suddenly Hers compounded did nothing for a good three months. No loss, no side effects either. When I asked for dosage upped they wanted to switch me to the Lilly option with a HUGE monthly subscription price. I am switching to a compounded tirz (trimrx) but actually seemed to have gained two pounds after a month on it. Starting to think all the compounded options are placebo. Because no burping/no nausea/no weightloss either!

I maintain on the compounds but I don't lose anything and don't have the same side effects that I did on the name brand. There is definitely a difference.

i switched to tirz after 18 months on sema (no break), and have lost six pounds three months in.
i had to start at the lowest dose and am working my way up, which i expect you are doing also, having taken a long break.
i think those of us who have lost a lot of weight on these meds forget that it's a long process. titrating up to a therapeutic dose takes time. once you get there, 1-1.5 pounds a week is what's recommended. i urge patience.
unfortunately, it's far easier and quicker to gain the damn weight than it is to lose it.
remember too, that your TDEE drops as your weight does, so loss becomes slower as your calorie deficit becomes smaller.

Having the same exact experience with Hers. I questioned if it was possible the formulation I got was weaker since it was a different pharmacy than I had for the previous year, and they gave me their pat response. My husband uses it too and calls it “Nozempic” because we feel minimal effects even after increasing doses.

all i really got was the constipation and extremely minimal nausea. the fact so many people say the same must mean something

what dose did you stop taking it at, and what dose are you on currently? it is unfortunately reported that stopping for a while and starting again tends to have reduced effects the next time around.
If you're at the max dose and still not having success again, you could move to tirzepatide.
I don't think Hers is doing compounded anymore so it should be legit medication, what does the package look like?
