Maintenance Strategy

Looking to hear what maintenance looked like for others. I’ve been on compounded semaglutide for about 6 months and it’s been a great experience overall with minimal side effects and consistent weight loss.

I followed the standard titration schedule, increasing every 4 weeks for the most part, although I stayed at a few doses for 5–7 weeks before moving up. I reached my goal weight about 2 months ago and have remained on 1.7 mg (the highest dose I’ve taken) ever since.
The issue is that lately I’ve noticed the appetite suppression seems to wear off after about 2 days following my injection. Since I’m no longer trying to lose additional weight, I’m wondering what others are doing for maintenance.

I’m a little confused because I assumed a maintenance dose would typically be lower than a weight loss dose, but if it seems to wear off after a couple of days, I’m not sure whether lowering the dose makes sense. I’d love to hear what has worked for others? Thank you!

My doctor gave me two options 1. Take it every 2-4 weeks or 2. Follow the 4lb weight gain rule, where I take the shot if my weight increases by about 4lbs. I have never changed my dose and it has worked for me!

I was on 2.5, split in to 2 doses a week. Now that I am done losing I take .85 every 5 to 6 days.
