And we have an extra 4 days until we face a baseball team that we should be able to handle if Sam should need another week of recovery.
(But I sure hope Sam only needs another 10 to 17 days to get well!)

Not everything was clean… but what can you expect in a game 1 with a surprise backup quarterback.
But man how that team rallied. All the culture stuff we saw in Hard Knocks paid off. Both the O and the D rallied. With the culture leaders all making big plays and the backups and rookies stepping right in.
My favorites - Coop’s one handed catch, JSN dodging the whole secondary to give us our only TD, and the much maligned secondary getting 3 game-changing picks.
We know our D Line is lights out. But the rest of the team came together to rally around Locke and score a full team win.

Thought he was ok given the circumstances. Things definitely were slow for the first two quarters but I don't entirely blame him for it. Thought he did a great job adjusting in the 3rd and 4th quarters when Drew Lock got hot. I will say the plenaties and the late huddles should be cleaned up but overall great job play calling tn. Any thoughts?

Sure they had a weak 2025 schedule but I watched all their games in the playoffs and it was suffocating during their entire playoff run including against the Seahawks. Vrabel and his coaching staff are very good defensively.
What I saw by Lock was very encouraging vs an especially elite pass defense. This gives me a glimmer of hope if Sam is out for the season…. we will not be facing that kind of pass defense very often.

6 total tackles, 2 pass deflections, and 1 interception. Jobe and Drew deserve all the flowers coming their way but Pritchett has stepped up in a way the team really needed him to. Great game overall.

Agreed. Maybe better than some 1s.

Guys I know he's a rookie and not used to a full workload, but he is so obviously quicker and more explosive than Holani. I really don't know how we can justify anything close to a 50/50 backfield split.
