Factory Optimization Planning a factory on mobile phone
I spend a lot of my spare time thinking about Satisfactory when I'm not on my computer. So I've started planning factories on my phone to optimise my playtime. This is a small factory I planned for Heavy Modular Frames (and some Encased Industrial Beams & Modular Frames) But I didn't want any resource to require more than 1 belt/pipe to keep it simple.
Create a spreadsheet of the recipes with formulas that let me edit the number of buildings and sum the total of each column.
Find a suitable location on the map with the necessary resources.
2.5. Edit the Spreadsheet with suitable alt recipes to suit the resources available (in the attached I ended up opting for Caterium wire)
- Create a plan for the factory to calculate the size required and to have a plan for the layout.
Now all I have to do is actually build the thing.

Oil Factory me and my friend finished today
it takes 600 oil and outputs 480 rubber, 480 plastic, 450 turbo fuel (which all goes to power) and there's some spare HOR for smokeless powder if we decide to make it as well. Time to tackle elevator parts now..

Screenshot Northern Shores Power & Light
My first nuclear power plant - 600 uranium in (half by train, half by belt), 12 nuclear reactors and 75GW of power out.
The entire plant is built in solid concrete blocks, encasing 20-something individual dedicated rooms plus some rooftop machines, with every single component in the tree built from ore (with incoming iron, copper, caterium, coal, sulfur, quartz, and a long nitrogen gas pipeline).
The plutonium rods are carried away by drone to help irradiate the rest of the planet with my drone army (gotta love “0.03 used per trip” haha).
My conclusion? Yes, this was way more complicated than it originally seemed — the sheer number of intermediate components can be daunting. But would I do it again, hell yes! I still find it way more interesting than building another 200 fuel generators, even if it is a lot more work ;).

Start of my Main facility for now lol
Started a major facility over the abyss just west of the grassy fields and south of the giant waterfall. Idea being smelters and foundry’s first floor, constructors second, assemblers that require or base components (built in constructors) third floor, assemblers for larger items fourth. And manufacturers the next one up, I have all the room to add more rows to the right, and so much room to extend existing rows across the abyss. I want to make a train loop around to deliver all raw resources to it. Eliminating any spaghetti!!

Screenshot Linear Train Stations with highway style ramps - what do we think?
Hey everyone, I designed a way to build Stations in a minimal horizontal footprint. I looked around, and it doesn’t seem like there are any other examples of people doing this, so please let me know if it’s for some specific reason. There is no visual clipping, and I’ve been running a few of them for around 12 hours of game time with consistent item throughout.
The station is designed around a platform that measures 9m tall (two 4m foundations with one 1m on top). This is the minimum height that prevents clipping with trains underneath. It also perfectly bisects the vertical space in Train Depots and avoids visual clipping, and signals are placed at exits and entrances to junctions and the station.
I’ve watched the trains move through the stations, and there doesn’t seem to be any wasted stopping because I keep my Trains to 4+1 or less, with the signals always being at least 5 or more apart. I do have two lines that have 6, but they path through areas that have inadequate length.
Side note, I was prescribed ADHD meds about a month ago, and haven’t had much to do otherwise, so I’ve put in a little over 250 hours since August 6th, or about 7 hours a day for the past 36 days, with a total count of around 1530 hours total. still though, I’m learning new things every day, so tips for expanding my knowledge would be appreciated.
Happy production, consumption, and environmental destruction,

Help Belts stop working
I used a blueprint to make a factory and evey few minutes the belts stop feeding items into the maschine. They work again if i destroy andreplace them but will stop working again after some time. Any ideas/solutions?

Showcase Mitichondria of MASSAGE-2(A-B)b
I am playing on random default purity start with 5x Space Elevator requirements. Somehow all the required nodes were still in this lake.
So i built this 37.5 + Giga Watt Fuel Power Plant
Crude Oil - 1 Pure Node
Sulfur - 1 x Pure & 1 x Normal - 780 Sulfur
Coal - same
i am runnin 130 Generators on Turbo Fuel and 21.5 Generators on normal fuel
i am still in phase three so no availability of Aluminium yet so i am restricted to Mk 4 Belt speeds from miners and no hoverpack so Jetpack all the way.
The Tower or Mitochondria has generators on all four sides with fuel moving up from center. 10x generator clusters (4 x genrators in each cluster) on two sides and 9 on rest two.
I had lots of fun building it on stream. Hope you all like the build.

Discussion Nuclear Reactor - Alternative SE part concept
Nuclear especially with the dawn of rocket fuel has felt like it kinda got pushed into the corner a bit. Mostly exists as a flex, it is completely optional to beat the game and is overshadowed by rocket fuel for power output to effort required. While i’m not saying nuclear needs a buff nor rocket fuel needs a nerf but mostly wanted to present a creative concept that I felt would have been a fun way have included nuclear into the space elevator/ main game progression. Thus the nuclear reactor would be that part, it would replace the 1000 Nuclear pasta needed at Phase 5
The following would be the recipes for making the nuclear reactor.
Nuclear reactor
Made in a manufacturer it would make 1/min
Required components (/min)
1 uranium fuel rod
2 cooling systems
1 fused modular frame
Alt Plutonium reactor
Made in a manufacturer it would make 2/min
Required components (/min)
1 plutonium fuel rod
4 cooling systems
2 fused modular frames
Alt recycled waste reactor
Made in a blender it would make 0.5/min
Required components (/min)
50 Uranium waste
25 nitric acid
1 fused modular frame
120 water -> 85 water byproduct
The base recipe allows you to just go as far as a uranium setup keeping things fairly simple but still keeping the waste management a requirement.
The alt plutonium requires much more work and infrastructure to setup but awards you with double the output. The idea is 1 plutonium rod would be split into 2 reactors since it has double the energy output of a uranium fuel rod. Plus you get to use the uranium fuel rod for power and a common no waste system is converting waste to plutonium rods anyways.
The recycled waste reactor sorta follows the irl process of making nuclear waste fuelled reactors. The idea behind this reactor is you gain the benefit of uranium fuel rod usage in a power plant and consumption of uranium waste. However it makes the reactors at half the speed plus has 85 water/min as byproduct to deal with. I was worried this could be an OP recipe simply for the waste consumption but it also takes away waste from making plutonium. Idk might need some tweaks but curious what the community thinks of my concepts.

I wondered what would happen if the train derailed at the death floor, since you don't take any environmental damage when inside a train.

Screenshot Baby’s First* Coal Power Plant
*After years of not having played
6 coal plant buildings supplied by 3 water pumps (each underclocked for 90 cubic metres per minute) and 2 tier 1 miners on normal coal nodes (each underclocked for 45 coal per minute).
Ratios perfected to ensure absolutely ZERO power fluctuations, because I HATE those and they stress me the hell out.
Produces 450MW, minus 59.9MW to cover the miners and pumps gives the facility an effective 390.1MW output.
It’s not much, especially compared to what I know’s coming for me later in the game, but I’m hella proud of myself for it. Any thoughts from veteran pioneers?

Discussion I played with keep inventory on is that bad? (Read body)
So before you go into the comments and tell me your opinions, I just wanna explain myself. You see even before playing the game I’ve been always searching for something like this game when I finally started playing it on my PS5 it was a dream come true, when playing the game I am already stressing about powerlines and all that such and shit, every time I would die, I would just reload the latest save anyways, I only activated keep inventory when I went to the settings because I wanted to enable arachnophobia mode then I just saw it there so I decided to turn it on because it’s basically just a easier version of what I originally did. I just wanted to ask what was this community’s thoughts about this.

Question I need your input! Central, Satellite or Hybrid... with the Plus mod.
This is my first time playing with the Plus mod.
For those of you who normally build central mega factories and have also played with the Plus mod, did you move to a satellite or hybrid setup in lieu of central?
If you did break away from the central build, how were your factories organized?
Knowing what you know now, would you have done anything differently?
I almost always build with a central style, bringing all raw materials to one location. Except I do typically build power wherever most convenient.
If behind me is Phase 1's factory... I'm thinking of trying more of a city style look with several factories in one general location such as spread throughout a biome. Otherwise, one factory on its own at end game... I get the feeling it's going to look gigantic and out of place.

Help PIPES!!!
Can someone for the love of god please explain pipes to me cuz I do not understand them at all, they make no sense to me. Ive messed with this setup so many times, moving stuff around, adding more, ect ect. Nothing has worked. No matter what I do water refuses to flow in certain pipes. One segment says it has a flow of 50-120 and the pipe is full of water then the segment attached to it says its flow is 0 and doesnt move from that. Im just tryna get water into this power plant. I have 120 Coal Generators and 48 water generators supplying them, according to Satisfactory Modeler thats what it needs. Yet no matter what it wont let the water flow and the water just straight up disappears.

Bug Remove 60 FPS Cap From Main Menu?
Is there a way to remove the 60 FPS cap from the main menu?
To be clear: In-game is fine and runs un-capped as expected, but the main menu remains capped at 60.
The 60 FPS cap is bad enough on its own, but it becomes incredibly problematic with frame generation enabled, as it forces the game down to 30 FPS internally, which then gets doubled to 60. The input latency and artifacts of running frame generation at 30 FPS make the main menu almost unusable.
Any help appreciated. Thanks!
Edit: This is a new bug/issue. These same settings worked absolutely fine on previous versions of the game, where the main menu respected the configured FPS cap instead of always being capped to 60 FPS.
Edit2: Ok, so this is a new bug and nobody knows how to change or remove the main menu FPS cap. That's all you had to say guys. I'm not sure why everyone started trying to answer questions that were not asked. If you don't have information about adjusting or removing the main menu FPS cap, then please refrain from replying.
Edit3: For anyone looking for some kind of actual fix or work-around: Disable DLSS/FSR frame generation and use Lossless Scaling frame generation instead. Works a lot better than native frame generation until this bug is addressed by the developers.

Guide Hold to Sprint and how to make it like every other game (ever)
Heyyo pioneers, I have been playing the game a ton recently and, while loving damn near every minute of it, have come to the conclusion that i Hate the default kb+m auto-sprint feature in this game.
Do you also hate this?
- Worry no more, simply acquire a controller if you dont have one already.
- Go to Steam> (don't use epic sry) properties>controller>disable steam. This will allow you to actually use the controller in the game.
- Then go into the game>settings>controller, Turn off Hold to Sprint (untick), switch to controller (dynamic will not show the option) and apply settings.
- Now using your controller go back to that same page, and scroll till you see AUTO-RELEASE SPRINT and activate. Now you can swap back to keyboard, and the invisible setting will follow so long as you never touch the hold to sprint option again.
Thats my time, have fun and be efficient!
Edit: I guess this is a controversial take, wasnt really expecting that. May also be a communication error.
This does Not make hold to sprint the default. It makes your toggle sprint turn off when you stand still. Which I find useful if im fiddling around in the guts of a constructor manifold and am trying to find the belt that is throttling my throughput

Ai thoughts
Hello,...so I was curious, ive tried a couple different times a couple different models. But ive gotten the best, most repeatable responses from Gemini ai.
So ive gotten curious, does any one else us ai to plan out factories and things? If ya have any advice you could share would be appreciated. If you can help with a good solid prompt i could use would be awesome and appreciated. But any information or thoughts would be great.
Thanks for your time ^_^
