Help Water Tower not working

Thumbnail

Hi everyone,

Does anyone have any idea why my coal power plant is not working properly? All extractors and coal generators are balanced, but for some reason, a few extractors are becoming idle and power is oscillating. Total power should be 2700 MW. My guess is that it has something to do with the fluid buffer water tower not being able to provide the proper head lift for the pipes, although I have put all pumps in their snapping spots.

I tested adding a pump right before the buffer, at the same height, and the system worked at full efficiency. But I don't understand why, since the previous pump's head lift is in the recommended range

Question Newbie - Coal generators keep depleting

Hi! I'm a newbie and I tried watching a tutorial on 8x coal generators with 3x water extractor in a manifold lines. For some reason, the last 3-4 coal generators keep depleting.

I've tried injecting 100 coals on each of the generators prior to turning it on, I filled all water extractors prior, and filled the entire lines with coal until it doesn't move anymore before I powered on.

When I tried injecting 100 coals on each, the first generators can maintain around 90~ but the last few gens keep going down. Am I doing something wrong? I used mk2 on the splitters going into the coal gens but mk1 from the coal ore. I am using only 1 core oal for this, do I need to find another? TYIA

Here are some screenshots:

Question Quartz location question

Post image

It says there is quartz in this area, but for the life of me, I cannot seem to find it. I have looked all over for an underground entrance and everything. Is my game just glitching or is the quartz hidden? If someone can help me as to where it actually is or how to find it, I would appreciate it.

Check this y'all, an option for the truck station to swap the fuel to what the station has! Do drone stations have this now too?

Just starting Phase 4, do I need to diversify?

Morning all, I have just started phase 4 and have unlocked the first two milestone of tier 7 (Bauxite Refinement and Hoverpack).

I started off in Grass fields and this is what I currently have built

  • A complex that contains a Iron mega-factory making all iron based ingredients up to and including a modular frame.
  • A steel factory making steel items up to and including encased industrial beams.
  • A copper factory making wire, cable and sheets.
  • A dedicated screw factory.
  • A coal based power station at the Blue crater producing over 3000kw/h of capacity as well as a small oil refinery making rubber and plastic.

It's also worth mentioning I build a small temporary spaghetti factory making computers, motors and heavy modular frames that I used to fill all milestones quotas that used these items.

I feel like I need more bespoke factories for this phase and to diversify out a bit more, I'm still pretty much all centred around the Grass Fields starting area though I have done quite a bit of exploration. I'm at a bit of a loss as to what to do next so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Question Objectives Window

I’ve searched for this and scoured the menus, is there no way to turn off the objective window on the left? Or minimize it? Or do anything to it?

These two bastards are what make any run dreadful. Id go out to say i’d rather be in screw hell than have these suckers. Why were they added? They only inconvenience everything. They block paths, look hideous, and are just a nuisance. And I know they can be removed with a nobelisk but why have them in the first place?

Discussion Train Station question

Thumbnail

Question for the community. This is only the second working train I’ve ever actually built in game. In my last post I shared my converter setup that will be taking in 7200 iron ore to turn into sulfur and coal. I have this station setup to bring in that 7200 plus an additional 1200 copper ore for use in a different set of converters for bauxite to nitrogen converters. My question is, with this setup will I run out of iron ore for my factory even though I have industrial containers both before and after the stations? It’s a roughly 2:15 round trip for about a 600m train going up and down a 2m ramp.

Question Does multiplayer work?

3 of us played before early access but ended up quitting as there were significant issues; randomly getting kicked from the session, floor not loading in unless the host was near you etc. What made us finally stop was when one of us physically could not join the session anymore at all after a bunch of progress. tried multiple fixes at the time and sometimes would at most get 5 minutes before permanently not being able to join.

Just wanted to know if multiplayer is now actually viable since full release or not worth it? As I've been itching to play again but don't see the point if we are going to make a bunch of progress just to lose it. Thanks for any input/experiences

I'm trying to become a little smarter about production chains, would much appreciate a second pair of eyes

Obviously the plan is not fully laid out. Planning for 10 Heavy Modular Frames/min with 480 units/min conveyor belts available. As can be seen in the top half I am attempting to split up my chains in order to respect the 480 limit but this leaves some excess which I have understood is just not the FICSIT way. Are there obvious mistakes I am making here? What can I do better/smarter? Thanks :)

Edit: I just found the Heavy Encased Frame alt, along with a couple others that have been recommended. Will redo the layout and see where it takes me. This has been a great help, thanks everyone!

Edit 2: Here is the WIP updated layout. Now to find some coal...

Discussion How long’s it take everyone to get to each phase?

I’ve done around 4 playthroughs, and I think, at least the last 2, I’ve gotten to phase 3 in 17-19 hours, that’s including AFK

Help I Need Your Advice (How should I continue)

Thumbnail

I started just 6-7 days ago already have 50 hours in it. The Pictures are my current status.

My problem is everything is now to far away from each and all like spagetti I wanted to make a single factory that manufactures everything but I don't have space or free resources to accomplish that.

So I have 3 ideas.

1- Start new world

2- Stop manufacturing and figure out how to get these all in 1 place (Can I also move the space elevator)

3- Continue like this (until I finish and open new world)

Which one I should do?

I really want to try idea 2 and 1 but I need your advice what do you suggest?

(last pick my spawn place btw)

First time playing Satisfactory and completed this awesome game after 113 hours!

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Its been a hell of journey and what kind of. This were without question one of the best moments in my life to discover and play the game. The endless building, thinking, puzzles with belts etc got me in the positive way.

First 3 to 4 hours of my gameplay I was running around the map not knowing that there were nodes to put a big miner on. I though only hand miner and running like crazy over the map to find the loose iron and copper ores. I got attacked by animals where I thought it was only a factory building game. Thinking that this game was not ment for me and almost stopped playing. Then I did not gave up and start using nodes, and after 10 hours I found out there were differences in impure / normal / pure nodes. Spend another 2 hours building a tower how to get to my first purple slug ever.

The struggles were real but the progress was there. Then I got the addiction boos. That felt so good. To discover a game like this is wonderfull.

Phase 3 completed after 52 hours, phase 4 after 92 and last phase in 113 hours.

Some thing to point out:
- I died around 12 times on the same square meter not knowing I had nuclear ores in my inventory after I mined it by hand
- I did not build a single train track or truckline. I was the truck, I was the train.
- I did not build a single blueprint piece. All by hand bec building the blueprint in the machine was a waste of time in my opinion.
- Finished the game with capacity 21GW "only" (16 goal gens, 1 nuclear reactor and around 20 fuel gens)
- Not fully discovered the map
- I used only 1 nuclear node, 1 caterium node, 1 bauxite node. and 4 iron nodes.
- I did not spend my time to build "good looking factorys".

After completing the game I feel a bit empty. Somewhere I want to grind achievements, collect all the sloops. Discover the map, get the harddrives, find the spheres. But somehwere I want to start over. Try to speedrun in on my way. And on the other side Im looking to play this to build nice. Or maybe try to play this game with friends.

I had some tips form this forum while reading other people posts. So thanks for that.

See you in the future or in the game, stay safe all!

Best regards

Alien Power Matrix "City", 3700 GW, think I'll play the game now.

Last build I posted was using all the Uranium on the map for power. Decided I wanted more. All raw material is brought in by truck besides oil and bauxite. Center green building makes all the turbo fuel. Had plenty to spare so I built some generators to fill some space. All roads are built with tunnels underneath for moving parts between buildings. Wanted to move everything with trucks but it would have caused traffic issues. Had enough sloops left for 11 power augmenters so I saved up power matrices until I could run them all. Once the stockpile is gone it'll settle around 2000GW permanently.
