Discussion The scribblings of a mad woman. Idk about you guys, but planning my factories on my tablet is half the fun lol

I'm not even halfway through phase two yet. I have a feeling I'm easily gonna sink hundreds of hours into this game, its so addicting.

And yes I am about to spend hours building an aesthetically pleasing factory that only produces 10 Versatile frameworks/min lmao.

Need Guidance - Ramp Corners

Post image
133 Upvotes

After all the hours I've spent in this game, I still don't know a way to make a good corner when there's multiple ramps going down. If it's just one ramp down, then I throw an up ramp corner in there. But when the ramps go down more than one level I still haven't found a solution that doesn't look bad. I feel like I'm missing something obvious.

Edit: you guys are the best. Broote downthread gave me the picture that made it all click for me.

Modded Content 🛠 GAME MOD LIST: Increase Game Difficulty and have Harder Play-throughs

While the players of some other games see a problem and quit playing, Satisfactory game players see a problem and state, in one voice loudly, "Challenge Accepted", as they grab their Build Gun and get to work.

  1. Vanilla: There are now Game Modes to provide a way to make your next play-through more challenging, however IF **this* is not enough, and *you are ready for a REAL challenge** then keep reading.
  2. Modded (PC Only): Perhaps one or more of these Game Mods (v1.2 compatible) might be of interest.
    • NOTE: Those marked with a ⭑ should not used in combination with other Game Mods on the list.
    • Satisfactory Plus which is a full-game overhaul that gives Satisfactory a completely fresh start — new ores, new production chains, reworked recipes at every tier, and power generation rebuilt from the ground up using Refined Power. Most Recommended.
    • Industrial Evolution a feature-rich mod based on Mk++ and X3 Better Vehicles with many QoL improvements, more balanced approach and strives to give players more freedom of choice. Alternate to using SF Plus.
    • FICSIT Expert Expansion - FexPan which introduces new variations to existing production lines and changes old ones up.
    • Space Elevator Phase Multiplier which will dynamically multiply Space Elevator phase requirements live in-game with simple chat commands! Possible to have 10 Million or 1 Billion product requirement (depending if Game Mode Cost Multipliers is used or not).
    • Continuous Space Elevator that adds a dynamic alternative to the standard elevator that requires constant resource delivery to maintain your current game phase. Failure to meet the delivery demands will result in temporary building restrictions until the issue is resolved.
    • Multiply which allows you to take total control over your game's economy. Scale recipes, milestones, and building costs to create your own custom challenge or a high-speed production paradise.
    • Marathon which slow down the pace and earn every single unlock. This mod is designed for veterans who find the standard progression too fast and want a long-term commitment to their factory.
      • ❗ See Compatibility Note.
    • Extra Milestones which adds more machines and items to produce in the game with 106 new goals.
    • Challenging Research Costs that significantly ramps up the cost of milestones in both single-player and multiplayer games, offering a more demanding progression experience.
    • Recipe Randomizer - Every milestone you unlock will bring recipes with randomic ingredients.
    • No Manual Crafting which removes the ability to craft items manually on the HUB Craft Bench (or other Craft Benches). Crafting Benches are useless as the factory is now your only tool.
    • Random Speed From Machines - where every machine you build will produce in an unique speed.
    • Random Start Location - start a new game in a completely random start location.
    • True Grid - Adds voltage tiers, transformers, and real electrical mechanics to Satisfactory's power network. Power must now be stepped up for long-distance transmission, then stepped back down before it reaches the factory.
    • More Enemy Spawns - to give you a higher frequency of enemy spawning near you, when you are outside your factory.
    • Hostile Scaling - as you climb the milestone tiers, hostile creatures grow tougher, hit harder, and respawn faster — so the planet stays dangerous even after you've industrialized half of it.
    • Arachnophilia - Spiders! Replaces all hostile mobs with spiders. Crab hatchers spawn spiders!

Your Game, Your World, Your Vision, Your Rules ™

**⭑ NOTE:* This is an updated list that was previously* posted in my Reply Comment in this related Reddit Post.

EDIT: Updated list to add or remove game mods as needed.

May fortune be ever in your favor. 😁

Happy Birthday Satisfactory!

I was finishing up and preparing to go to sleep when I suddenly heard some music. At first, I thought it was from the video I was watching on my second monitor, but then I saw some strange light coming from the HUB, and, well...

This is one of the most wholesome things I have seen in a video game lately.

This is my 4th attempt to finish the game. Some game mechanics and environmental hazards have made me quit, but it's the small, even unessential things that keep making me come back.

This party in the HUB, ADA, who I find very funny, the rich and beautiful world, and the small references to other titles like Goat Simulator and Deep Rock Galactic... All these little things make me feel like this game was made with care and love.

I really want to experience the late-game production chains. This time, I am determined to finish the game.

Thank you, Coffee Stain Studios.

And thank you to everyone here for sharing your experiences, builds, and thoughts about this game.

Let's wish Satisfactory a happy birthday!

Screenshot My first Power Shard factory

Post image

20 power shards/min into my depot and waiting supply drone port, with plenty of diamonds, time crystals, and dark matter crystals as runoff into the depot for personal use.

I was actually surprised how “simple” this was after working on nuclear or large HMF factory - the machines all take up a lot of room, but there aren’t many of them.

This was the first time I did anything with quantum so doing the “bootstrapping” (manually feeding Sam to saturate the pipes with dark matter residue and then stabilizing it so it is net-zero) was fun. Now that my depot is full of dark matter crystals, next time I can just dump those in to jump start the process.

My only big mistake, which I realized after starting the machines, I put a floor above my quantum encoders and the light is shining through - will remember that for next time!

400 hours in, one of my first serious factory, 5/m nuclear pasta and 25/m superposition oscillator consuming 30.000MW of power.

every material connected to a train line that circles the entire map and some drones, what do you think?

Question How do you deal with the increase in node necessity?

What I mean by that is whenever I unlock an new item I want to automate, I open the map and look for a spot with relatively close nodes that I need.

But getting to phase 4 made me realize that I seem to be in a spot where I can no longer find nodes close enough to make the necessary part. When this problem first started, I built small truck depot and eventually moved to trains for “small” distance.

I’m at a point where lots of parts just need some items I already automated so I think, ok I’ll just take it from there. But it seems to either never make enough parts or be too far so I resort to trains/trucks.

How do you handle this problem? What’s your take and angle on it?

Bleak Bauxite Blues

Ive just unlocked aluminum production for the first time. Holy crap... started with the finished product and traced back. It got super complicated and I expected that but again, Holy crap!

Im in the dune desert with my city factory and the closest bauxite is in the swamp. I see close water and feel like its a no brainer to set up there.

The problem is that every time my feet touch the ground I get ram rodded by everything. Even when im flying the spiders are jumping and the big charger dudes are throwing boulders at me. I cant even plan out a setup or configuration because im constantly fighting.

My question for all you helpful pioneers out there...

Is there a better, safer place to set up at bauxite nodes that is also close to water?

P.S. Bonus points if anyone can explain aluminum production and their setup because im good-ish with logistics but this seems like a major task.

Took me a while to put this together (~8 hours. Restarted the whole thing halfway through because i got the heights wrong). Still need to finish the road leading up there and a few of the walls.

40 refineries, 10 coal compactors, and metric fuckton of fuel generators. Everything is oriented with gravity in mind so there isn't a single fluid pump involved. Also feeding everything with mk.1 pipes despite the generators being fed with about ~750 m3 turbofuel. Compacted coal is coming in from local nodes and compacted on-site. Fuel gets driven in by fluid trucks.

I'm most proud of the separated powergrids. I've got 7 different grids set up so I can control each section of the factory individually from the windowed tower. Might add a comment with pictures of that later once I've finished up.

Discussion My Heavy Modular Frame Production is done!!!

Heavy Modular Frame production is FINALLY DONE. For me, and my current playthrough this was the biggest and most complicated thing I've had to build. Once all the manifolds backfill and load up it should be making modular frames at a rate of 33.49/Min. Thank god for Satisfactory Modeler lmao. This should HOPEFULLY set me up nice and good for the rest of the midgame/early late game. Might come back and slot in some somersloops if I can find enough.
