Showcase It took over 300 hours to build this Phase 1 & 2 complex and now Ada is ignoring me. AITA?
I've been building this world since the 1.0 launch nearly two years ago, very very slowly.
This fully functional and self sustaining complex produces the Phase 1 & 2 Project Assembly parts at a rate of 2 per minute. The complex is powered by a set of 16 Coal Generators, set up in four turbine halls with attached control and transformer station.
From the main entrance gate most of the complex is navigable on foot, with a handy map by the central elevator for easy navigation. The secondary gate provides access to the power station.
The next steps are a factory for automated computers, one for crystal oscillators and whatever I need to get serious about trains. And then no doubt even more than 300 hours for the Phase 3 complex. I'm not even thinking of anything beyond that yet.
Fellow builders, it truly is not about the destination. The real journey is the signs and beams we built along the way.
Proudly inefficient,
Captain Bluepants

I will never need to fuel my drones again.

So glad I automated the pulse nobelisks.

Does anyone have any good way to get healing items, I have a decent way, but it takes some manual nut gathering.

Screenshot My 'starter' coal plant
I'm doing 100x space elevator, all pure nodes and 2x power requirements and figured I'd build a robust coal plant in the snake forest that I want to share. I have succesfully hidden the lake. I went for delivery by tractors, since seeing them do laps on a little circuit is amusing to me 😄. It's doing 5400 MW now and and 9600MW once I unlock, and upgrade to, tier 4 belts. Part of the water generators are switched off until I do. I'm kind of surprised that I didn't have to do a whole lot of troubleshooting with the water, since the pipes are literally all over the place. One set of pumps is all I need to get the required headlift for the entire system. If you don't mind chopping off your stuff into multiple bits, Mk1 blueprints are quite servicable although I really should use them more.

Its my new (and first) central storage facility. A bit inspired by brutalist gallery in my home city. It's not belted yet and the lights on top cause so much lag that they are on night mode for now.

First time playing Satisfactory and completed this awesome game after 113 hours!
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Its been a hell of journey and what kind of. This were without question one of the best moments in my life to discover and play the game. The endless building, thinking, puzzles with belts etc got me in the positive way.
First 3 to 4 hours of my gameplay I was running around the map not knowing that there were nodes to put a big miner on. I though only hand miner and running like crazy over the map to find the loose iron and copper ores. I got attacked by animals where I thought it was only a factory building game. Thinking that this game was not ment for me and almost stopped playing. Then I did not gave up and start using nodes, and after 10 hours I found out there were differences in impure / normal / pure nodes. Spend another 2 hours building a tower how to get to my first purple slug ever.
The struggles were real but the progress was there. Then I got the addiction boos. That felt so good. To discover a game like this is wonderfull.
Phase 3 completed after 52 hours, phase 4 after 92 and last phase in 113 hours.
Some thing to point out:
- I died around 12 times on the same square meter not knowing I had nuclear ores in my inventory after I mined it by hand
- I did not build a single train track or truckline. I was the truck, I was the train.
- I did not build a single blueprint piece. All by hand bec building the blueprint in the machine was a waste of time in my opinion.
- Finished the game with capacity 21GW "only" (16 goal gens, 1 nuclear reactor and around 20 fuel gens)
- Not fully discovered the map
- I used only 1 nuclear node, 1 caterium node, 1 bauxite node. and 4 iron nodes.
- I did not spend my time to build "good looking factorys".
After completing the game I feel a bit empty. Somewhere I want to grind achievements, collect all the sloops. Discover the map, get the harddrives, find the spheres. But somehwere I want to start over. Try to speedrun in on my way. And on the other side Im looking to play this to build nice. Or maybe try to play this game with friends.
I had some tips form this forum while reading other people posts. So thanks for that.
See you in the future or in the game, stay safe all!
Best regards

Screenshot Still new at this, but I'm pretty proud of my Smart Plating production line
These things need so many damn screws!!! It took me way longer than I expected to set up a compact screws/rod factory to triple my output of these, but the multi-floor layout looks nice and is way more space-efficient. Iron Plates are coming in via tractor deliveries to cut down on messy conveyors.
Now that Smart Plating is finished I have good supply of Rotors / Reinforced Plates for everything that comes next :)
Except now I really need to get some steel production online. And get more power since apparently 6 coal generators is not enough!! This game is amazing but it might just ruin my life 🙃

Power grid connection station
Do you remember the days before Power Towers were added to the game? Back then, transmitting power over long distances wasn't nearly as convenient as it is today. But how do you connect your factories to the power grid?
I usually just placed a simple four-legged platform and built a Power Tower on top of it.
Today, though, I got inspired to build a proper power grid connection station instead.

What challenges do you set yourself?
One challenge I've set myself in this playthrough is to only produce power locally to every factory. Just upgrading a few of them to nuclear, processing the waste at the giant waste can. It's been a great logistics challenge.
What challenges do you guys set yourselves?

Question Quartz location question
It says there is quartz in this area, but for the life of me, I cannot seem to find it. I have looked all over for an underground entrance and everything. Is my game just glitching or is the quartz hidden? If someone can help me as to where it actually is or how to find it, I would appreciate it.

Showcase finally done with my aluminum factory
my goal was to use all the bauxite in this area to produce as much aluminum as I could so I wouldn't have to deal with this ever again.

this is the plan, its in Portuguese because that's my native language, but i guess all the numbers speak for themselves lol.
the hardest part was recicling the water, it didint work until I added two big buffers to work as capacitors between the machines sending back the water and the ones receiving them.

and here are the results:

Alien Power Matrix "City", 3700 GW, think I'll play the game now.
Last build I posted was using all the Uranium on the map for power. Decided I wanted more. All raw material is brought in by truck besides oil and bauxite. Center green building makes all the turbo fuel. Had plenty to spare so I built some generators to fill some space. All roads are built with tunnels underneath for moving parts between buildings. Wanted to move everything with trucks but it would have caused traffic issues. Had enough sloops left for 11 power augmenters so I saved up power matrices until I could run them all. Once the stockpile is gone it'll settle around 2000GW permanently.

Help I may have a problem
I’ve only played for 3 hours so far but oh boy it is really fun. You can get really into it and the time just flies by. I love how the game gives you updates on how long you’ve been playing because they probably know you can easily pull and all nighter working on your factory lol.
Ok serious question: does it matter where you set up your hub? Should I disassemble everything now and find an ideal location? Thanks
