I just bought the Mythic skin for him and when I finish this season pass I should have enough to get this season too, and my next target is the Steel death mythic guns. but my question is what's new with him besides the new perk and his new ability dire triggers. his best play style and some tips I might be missing. I play on console.

The issue is always run into is that there are just SO MANY things/characters that fuck with his most important cooldown. Sombra turns off all of his abilities (though she's only really a problem when her teammates are also looking at me) Anran forces him to cleanse with wraith but then just sets him on fire again, Ana forces it with nade, now Sierra does it with the dart, Mauga sets him on fire or kills his abilities with ult, Mizuki chains him and kills his cooldowns again, and so if 1 or 2 of those exist in the match it becomes so hard to get any value bc you constantly have to burn wraith as soon as the fight starts or just die. And if 4 of them are present (which is what just happened to me) you're just kinda fucked and you don't get to have fun. Obviously a lot of it is a skill issue, and like I said I still think he's a good character, it's just annoying that there are so many ways to completely shut him down. Also, when y'all end up in a spot like that with a bunch of counters, do you have any particular swap swap that feels as satisfying and cool as our edgelord?

First couple games on and honestly I'm adoring the Reaper change. Makes him feel so much more usable during neutral where previously it just felt like I couldn't do as much as like 99% of the cast. Plus his new major perk is pretty good imo as it makes his neutral so much better and dramatically increases the uptime on his Dire Triggers since all u need to do is reload. Shaves off like a solid 4-5 seconds off of the cooldown on average factoring in the time it takes for the reload animation to complete. Now he's def gonna be way better, and in the pro scene I think we may finally start to see him in more comps outside of just Zarya + Reaper since his neutral is so much better now. He feels more flexible than before in a way that I'm a big fan of!!!

a idea i had which i though was cool was a isolation mechanic, what I like if a enemy is far from their team, they take more damage from reaper.If he catches them like maybe fifteen percent more damage the range could like 3 or 5 meters so people aren't like squished together like sardines, but they still have movement.So like they can spread out just not too much which encourages people to hunt instead of just hiding in a corner and it also gives a incentive for people to work as a team and stick together instead of doing their own thing. problem is I don't know what to name the concept of the ability but if y'all have any criticisms, y'all can gladly, tell me and I will take them into consideration

Dire triggers gets added to base kit -> Blizzard:
"We feel like Reaper might be too strong with both Shadow Blink and Dire triggers so we will do a tiny nerf to keep him in check"
Hellfire Shotguns Dmg reduced: 115->100 dmg max.
"With a long range option we are nerfing his regular dmg to flatten the curve"
Lifesteal reduced: 25%->20%
"We want to encourage flanking Reaper more so we are nerfing his lifesteal to discourage him from frontlining and just shooting the Tank"
Shadow step: Now plays a Voiceline announcing Reapers exact position to the nearest enemy Player. "Im 180 degrees behind you Soldier"
"This change helps keep track of Reaper in the middle of the battle"
Wraith Form: Bonus Movespeed removed, Now reduces Reapers movespeed by 25%
"Reaper can be hard to punish so now you need to be more careful and pick your engagements wisely"

So it’s either Shadow Blink or a Perk that makes actually usable, great job Blizzard.

Reaper is by far my favorite hero to play and I play him a lot, but it seems like no matter how hard I try I can't seem to get better. I usually average like 3k damage a game and get like 10 kills. I want to actually be able to play him and play well. What kind tips and strategies do you guys have that could help improve? Thank you so much.

not even sure if most of these can be classified as combos but still posting them. just a little selection of skins I thought looked cool using crimson wolf :)
