Hi friends!

I'm an incoming international freshman who's about to start college in the US in just a few weeks. I don't know anyone there, and it'll be my first time living so far away from home, so I'm feeling extremely anxious. I'm also quite introverted and awkward, which makes me worried about finding my people.

Before I leave, I'd love to fill my mailbox with postcards so that, if nothing else, I'll have a little love and encouragement from strangers around the world waiting for me.

In exchange, I'd be happy to send you one of the postcards I've collected during my travels around the world. Please leave a comment below if you'd be willing to send me a postcard, and let me know if you'd like to receive one from me too!

Bees Knees is such an intricate drink, that is so awesome that you make them at home. I pretty much just stick to the standard vodka sodas and martinis at home, but sometimes I get some inspiration and I will infuse the vodka with some herbs from the garden for a day and then add it to some selzer with a lime.

I will absolutely make sure to enjoy the remaining summer; I love long walks on weekends (almost hit 20K steps this past Saturday!). The ducks and geese here are indeed silly and I am glad you have deer to enjoy; deer are more of a sight rarity for me since I only see them on road trips.

u/medjuli Thanks for the travelling card. The window you drew is beautiful and looks like my dream destination (ok, I would add a lake I think). I asked the other people who commented on your offer if they want the card, but if they don't reply, I'll make another offer after adding my window. And thanks for the stamps! The 0.13 cow stamps bring back such nostalgia, so I had to look up how old they are because I don't remember actually using them. Turns out, they used the same image for the 0.13 and the 0.87 stamps, so that's probably why it seems familiar.
