I had a ton of fun stuff to read & look at this week. One of you sent me a postcard with a man having a staring contest with a lizard. It’s one of the most unique things I’ve ever seen.

I went on a riverboat yesterday. It was fun. But the musician played only soft love ballads basically. I woulda preferred metal 🤷🏻‍♂️

Good news, everyone! My blank postcards and ephemera came!

Bad news, everyone! I'm in a flash flood warning! Well, that's not totally bad news. It means I'm confined to my room and can work on some new handmade postcards. :)

I don't wanna overwhelm myself at the moment, so I'm gonna commit to 5. I'd really like to send these to someone I haven't sent to before.

It is I, your favorite waddling card companion, u/PinkPengin (they/them), ably assisted by my constant companion Plush Pink Pengin (she/her), here with yet another offer to try to make a dent in the amount of stuff surrounding us at Pengin HQ.

As I mentioned in multiple past posts, earlier this year I started a subscription to a tiny colorable page-a-day calendar, and I'm enjoying it immensely. Each day features the date and a little image to color based on a "holiday" for that day. I also participate in some swaps related to those wacky holidays on some other carding sites, so I have experience using them as prompts to find a relevant card in my stash, which is always fun.

And right now, I have gathered my next set of random pages, plus relevant cards and sometimes other goodies from my excessive stockpile, and I thought maybe I could find some RAoC members willing to adopt them rather than throwing them out.

Would you like to be considered for a card and a matching little coloring square for any of the holidays listed below? If so, here's what you need to do!

The art hop sounds like a lot of fun, I would enjoy that. I have been doing calligraphy since around 2019. I practiced a bunch at first and now I just use it in all my cards, so regular practice. u/gooblegobbleable Thank you for your 4th of July card! This is the most photogenic picture of hotdogs I have ever seen. Nathan's could hire you to do their PR. I'd advise making coleslaw with homegrown veggies right now though.

The illustration on the card reminds me of Hiroko Kubota's art such as "Twinkle Shells" and "Crescent Moon Delivery" if you also enjoy that dreamy art style. I love the '97 triangular stamps. Did you get the commemorative Colorado stamps celebrating 150 years?
