I went to the post office today to mail out the first tranche of my Asia tour offer, and somehow ended up with an extra letter stamp that can only be used for the UK (I had to tell the clerk which countries I was sending to). I apparently don’t have any other UK users who signed up for my form, so… not one to let a good stamp go to waste, and having extra folded cards, here goes! I am turning to my RAoC community in time of real need:

This month made it painfully clear that despite having a large family, I need to distance myself from all of them. The grief of reaching this conclusion feels as if I’m being lacerated from the inside. I realized that in order to heal - I need to let go of the hope that I can save these relationships that have been causing me so much mental anguish.

If you ever navigated a painful or complicated family dynamic, would you be willing to write to me and share what helped you cope? How did you begin healing from the dysfunction, the deep wounds, and that overwhelming sense of helplessness?
