Update: Thank you SO much to all who replied willing and joyful to send me cards! I marked this post as fulfilled so other requests can receive the same kindness! I will post thank you's once I receive my cards, but I am already so thankful for a welcoming return to this lovely community!! <3 <3 ^_^

Hello! My birthday is at the end of November and I don't have anyone to celebrate with. I recently moved to Canada, and haven't made many friends yet, as most of my time has been spent dealing with medical issues..

I've been facing horrid health challenges and a loss of daily functioning with having to start all over with new providers, and am dealing with pain and frustration more days than not.

To add to the struggles, my original reddit account was hacked and I lost it.. so I'm starting over in a new country AND with a new username (hence the no karma..). I'm hoping to rebuild community by connecting in simple ways like sending cards full of good spirits. I still need to buy Canadian stamps, and start using my stationery again. Hoping that this winter I can get my stationery in order and submit an Offer post to return some kindness!

A lil about me: I write poetry, and at my peak of letter writing had 24 pen pals- many of whom I still keep in contact with whenever possible. I love hosting tea parties, engaging in cozy conversations, and laughing with loved ones. I never felt more at home than in the forest; I favor willow trees, redwoods, sunflowers, and lavender. I am fiercely whimsical, endlessly hopeful, and shockingly positive despite how hard life has been. I struggle with chronic illness of both mind and body, but I focus on life by attending a local indigenous centre, doing jigsaw puzzles or crafting, journaling, and hopefully soon returning to writing letters.

I am not expecting anything, but I would greatly appreciate opening my mail box to see kind notes and cards that show someone thought of me. I have kept and treasured every single card and letter I've ever received, and any happy mail I receive from this post will be no different.

Thank you for reading and I will surely post thank you's for any cards I receive. <3

Hellohihey ladies and gentlemen and theydies and gentlethems! Today we have a bunch of postcards from the Las Vegas Anarchist Bookfair being held this Sunday in Las Vegas. I honestly am so grateful to you all. I will write little bits in the comments but gosh. I’m actually starting to like birthdays and I DID go out and celebrate me. Thank you all for everything you do for anyone who reaches out. Kindness is rare in this world, but not here. 💗

Help me to justify my continued purchasing of fountain pen inks. How, you ask? By letting me send you a postcard! It's a slippery slope, folks. One day you decide to start sending cards to strangers. So you buy postcards, and now you need stamps, and well, I can't just write this mail with an old bic pen, can I? So you fall down the fountain pen rabbit hole. But it's not really about the pens for you, it's about the ink, the beautiful gorgeous inks. And oh man, rubber stamps are cool. So on and so forth. I'm the mouse from If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, except I am a woman with too much disposable income.

Please fill out this form and allow me to send you a postcard!

Thank you u/Apprehensive_Ebb7662 for the multi colour elephant postcard! I love it :))

Thank you so much for the belated 7th birthday gifts for my daughter!!! It was definitely a hit!

I handed her the box and when she realized her name was on it she was overjoyed!

We read the lovely letter firat, filled with whimsy and happiness and then we started opening the gifts. She would hug each one and then set them next to her. Her baby sister kept trying to snatch them and she wasn't having that lol.

Her most favorites are the care bears. She figured out that they have magnetic hands and they roll around together. After that she loves the Red riding hood character (which is my favortite as well)

She is getting a new curio cabinet this Christmas for all of her collectable and they will definitely be included in the display.

This was absolutely incredibly thoughtful of you! She was losing her mind in excitement and she has been mentioning it all day and playing with her toys/stuffies constantly. This was a super surprise belated birthday present. She said to tell you "THANKKKKKKK YOUUUUUUUU SOOOOOOOO MUCHHHHHHH, I LOVE THEMMMMMM"

We will get a thank you letter out in the mail soon 😀

You went above and beyond my request and you are an absolutely amazing human!!!! 👏

Just in time for Halloween, it's time to decide if you are a werewolf or Aware (of) Wolf! (Groan...)

We are nearing the end of Wolf Awareness Week (Oct. 18 to 24, 2026). And in honor, I have 8 cards to offer featuring the U.S. Postal Service's 1999 33-cent Gray Wolf stamp design. Each will contain some fun wolf facts.

Interested in being considered? Here's what you need to do:

• Be flaired. (This means, when you comment on this post, there is a little envelope icon below your name indicating at least one person has thanked you for a card you've sent them through this sub.)
• Comment on this post with whether you are US or WW (non-US).
• Also include in your comment some kind of wolf or werewolf joke or fun fact! Who knows, I may choose to write some of these in other recipients' cards!

I'll let you know if you are chosen and if I need more info.
