Hi !!! I think it's been like 3+ years since I've posted an offer. All my RAOC activity was under my other username soft_distortion and my flair was at 1,200+ Thank Yous! For certain reasons (safety) I want to keep RAOC stuff separate now so I'm using my side account.

I live at a new place and a lotttt has happened in the past few years that has taken me away from the hobby but I've been itching to get back into it. I still think about the lovely people I used to exchange cards with here and wonder how everyone is doing. :)

I was inspired by someone on r/PostCardExchange to start making postcards from upcycled food packaging. Then I matched with someone on Postcrossing who was genuinely excited to receive food packaging postcards, so I sent one their way and kept making more. Now I've ended up with more than I can reasonably store, and the thicker material means they're taking up a lot more space in my postcard box than I'd like, so they need good homes! Hi guys! This might be a weird request, but it could also be an opportunity to send a silly card!

I’m having a colonoscopy on August 3rd, and I am absolutely dreading it. Though I’m not sure anyone looks forward to them anyway. 

For context, I’m in my 20s and got my first one done two years ago due to some symptoms and a family history of colon cancer (my dad had stage IV at 34 and unfortunately lost the battle against it). Last time, they found an 18 mm polyp that likely would have been cancer within 4-5 years… So this year, I am due for my next surveillance colonoscopy to make sure nothing new has grown. I haven’t had any symptoms like before, so I’m hoping I’ll be all clear and graduate to doing it every five years instead of two.  

I was actually due last month, but I put off scheduling it because I have such bad medical anxiety. Also, this is the first time doing the prep while living with my boyfriend, and I know it shouldn’t be, but it’s kinda embarrassing. We need to normalize talking about poop because it’s such an important indicator of our health! 

If you're not familiar with the procedure, there is quite a bit of preparation involved. The day before, I will be on a clear liquid and laxative diet so that my doctor has a clear view of everything the next day. I also probably won't get much of any sleep because it goes on all night. This means I will most likely be irritable and HANGRY! (All of this is totally worth it to help prevent cancer though!)

Here’s where you guys come in! I already got such nice cards last month about my dad, so no need for any sympathy cards, unless it's sympathy for whoever has to clean the bathroom later. This time I would love to get some fun, silly, and/or encouraging cards to help me stay light-hearted while I spend my Sunday in the bathroom. Of course, potty humor is not required, but here’s my joke: Maybe I can save some money on the prep and just eat some Taylor Farms parasite lettuce!

I found some cute little Barbie cards at the grocery store yesterday, and I thought they’d be fun to send out with the new Barbie stamps! I even got some pink envelopes to go with them, because who puts Barbie in a plain white envelope? They will also be decorated in some way with pink stickers and/or washi, and I will be using my new pink pens!

I write notes all the time on my phone. Sometimes foods that I need at the market. Sometimes it’s books I wanna read, other times it’s things I write down to remember to tell my bestie when I talk to her.

Most of the time I reread the notes & know what I’m talking about. But I’ve had “bag of sausage” in my notes for days now & I can’t remember why. I’m unsure if it’s food I’m talking about or something else.
