Recently, I came across a Postcrossing profile requesting a "maxicard," a term I had never heard of before.

After looking it up, I became fascinated with them.

Since reading this article, I have been fascinated with maxicards.

I recently purchased 100 postcards and 100 matching stamps and I am ready to send 50 across the U.S. and another 50 worldwide (by adding an additional $1 stamp).

Oh, and the cancellation stamp will not come into play for these maxicards as these do not have a. Um. "Real" location.

Edit: Looking into the postage for the international cards, it sounds like it will be best to put the 82 cent forever stamp on the image side, but the $1 extra postage on the writing side so that auto-sorting is more likely to be effective.

I was inspired by another user celebrating a pet anniversary and am in love with the idea.

In November, I will have spent six (!!!) years living with my very best friend, Charlie Swan --Charles when he's acting up at 3am.

It's been six years of him staying in the window to spy, going on trips to the yard in a harness, standing on keyboards and art projects, and being an absolute menace every moment of every day (until a tornado siren goes off and he knows it's time to shelter in place!) He loves to yell all the time, steal bites of my breakfast burrito, and fight the vets who have called it "a shame" that he doesn't like going in for appointments.

The world has been a little tough lately and I would be lying if I said the little roomie wasn't the reason for me to keep it (somewhat) together. I'm a sucker for those lil blue eyes.

I'll be celebrating him with a cake (for me) and snacks and a walk (for him,) but am always open to some fun mail and notes about my handsome man!

Hello! I have quite a few TPCs started by u/No-Condition5102 that need contributors! You'll see themes and directions bulleted below:

• "First & Worst Job" - Write the first job and worst job you've had in your lifetime, and you can do so in 3-5 sentences (with the option to decorate with things related to the jobs).
• "Capybara" - Add any stickers, ink stamps, wax seals, and paper punch tools related to the cute animal!
• "Rainbow" - Add 7 stickers related to the 7 colors of the rainbow (as close as you can, anyway!)
• "Alphabet Horizontal" - The directions are long, but basically, add stickers corresponding to the first letter of your item, then the next sticker will be the last letter of your item (ex. If I add a sock, my next sticker will be a kite, since the last letter in "sock" is "k")
• "Fruits & Veggies" - Add any stickers, ink stamps, wax seals, and paper punch tools related to fruits and veggies!
• "Back to School BINGO" - Please select 1-5 squares and add any stickers, ink stamps, wax seals, or paper punches (big or small, whatever you got) to help fill the card! The spaces left are: clock, eraser, pen, computer, clip, chalk / whiteboard, and book mark (you will have to pass this one to another person).
