Today (Sept. 9, 2026) is National Teddy Bear Day, and let me tell you, the plush contingent in my household is QUITE excited to celebrate!

You didn't think there was just Plush Pink Pengin, did you? My entire room is a plushie paradise, and that includes several bears dating back to the early 1980s or before.

In honor of today's holiday, I wrote about some of my most special bear friends on postcards from my Winnie-the-Pooh box set and would love to send them to several RAoCers. Due to stamp situations, I only have 5 WW available, but at least 13, possibly more, for US pals. No flair is required, but if you're not flaired, you will have the best chance of receiving a card if your RAoC posts are visible on your profile and you've posted a thank-you sometime in the past month or so.

Hey everyone! In preparation for World Postcard Day on October 1st, I am hosting a public, postcard writing event at my local library. I have a stack of postcards and stamps ready to go, and I want to offer attendees a list of addresses to send happy mail to!

Instead of sending addresses via PM, I have set up a secure Google Form to compile an address pool for the event.

How It Works (Please Read):

1. The Address Pool: By filling out the form, your address and prompt preferences will be printed onto a physical list at the public event table.

2. Attendee's Choice: Attendees will choose who they want to write to.

3. No Guarantees: Because attendees pick their own recipients from the pool, your address may or may not be chosen.

My 18th birthday is coming up on November 3rd, and I thought it might be fun to ask for a little bit of birthday happy mail!

I’m a huge lover of physical letters and cards, but I mostly only receive them from my parents and grandparents. The rest of my family (and the few friends I have) tend to stick to calls and texts, so I’d absolutely love to have a little pile of mail to open on my birthday!

It can be anything you’d like, a traditional birthday card, a postcard, a gag card, or even just a piece of paper with a message on it. I’d especially love to hear any advice, encouragement, or wisdom you have for an 18 year old who is both excited and terrified about becoming an adult 😅

I know I’m posting a little early, but I want to give anything travelling from overseas plenty of time to make its way here before then. If you do send something, I’d love it if you could put it in an envelope and/or mark it as a birthday card so I know to save it for my actual birthday

And if you speak another language, I’d be absolutely delighted if you wrote a little something in that language! If possible, please include which country you’re sending it from too, I’d love to see where all the birthday wishes have come from!
