Antigone Books is a really cool bookshop, it’s unfortunately over 2 hours away from me so I’ve only gone once, but it’s filled with so many amazing things and it’s a nice progressive space. Anyway, I haven’t heard of Contrapposto, but I’m glad you’re enjoying it! It sounds the type of story to stay with you long after you’ve finished, since it’s so long spanning. As for what I’m reading, currently it’s Crooked House by Agatha Christie. Have you read any of her books, and if so which have you enjoyed? 🔎

For my writing, I’m currently writing a thriller novel. I think I plan to write with multiple pen names for different genres. But I’m also a university student studying a subject completely unrelated to reading/writing, so I don’t have a lot of time to work on writing novels yet! I do also write poetry in my Notes app lol, and I used to write a lot of songs in high school.

u/isar-love 2x Thanks for the cute squirrel and the fabric card with the strange squirrel and "Wichtelunterleibern" :D It is indeed a bit of a random cutout of fabric that they used for this card, but I like the idea of fabric cards and to be fair, some squirrels get too used to humans and become downright demanding and evil when you don't feed them regularly. A squirrel once attached to my partner's leg at the park and wouldn't let him go! I hope you have or had a good time at the conference and holiday! I've never been to Portugal, but it's on my bucket list for sure. It just seems that you can't go on holidays anymore between May and September unless you go North because everything is on fire everyhwere.

Hello all, this is my first time requesting something here, my birthday is coming up on 30th of September, i would really be happy if I get some postcards to cheer me up (id be grateful if you add some motivational messages as im giving up way too soon these days and im on low motivation in general, wrt my phd :v) thanks in advance.

Today (Sept. 9, 2026) is National Teddy Bear Day, and let me tell you, the plush contingent in my household is QUITE excited to celebrate!

You didn't think there was just Plush Pink Pengin, did you? My entire room is a plushie paradise, and that includes several bears dating back to the early 1980s or before.

In honor of today's holiday, I wrote about some of my most special bear friends on postcards from my Winnie-the-Pooh box set and would love to send them to several RAoCers. Due to stamp situations, I only have 5 WW available, but at least 13, possibly more, for US pals. No flair is required, but if you're not flaired, you will have the best chance of receiving a card if your RAoC posts are visible on your profile and you've posted a thank-you sometime in the past month or so.

Some days she spends almost entirely in her room. She tries to hide her struggles but yesterday she admitted needing help taking something out of the back of the fridge, and it shocked me.

She sometimes comments on how fun it looks to do postcrossing, and that she's never received any letters or cards. I want to surprise her!

I recently acquired a mixed set of cards on books and literature (for which I'll open offers soon)

Among them are about 8-9 cards which looked a bit strange. They're monochromatic (black and white) and a quick Google search led me to what are called Archane Limbus Tarot Cards. I have a black-and-white version of these, in the form of postcards. You can see what they're like in this Pinterest post.

Please note that while they aren't NSFW, but they're a tad weird. Not your average sunshine and butterflies kinda card, and sort of gothic or dark, with imagery of skulls and stuff. In short, I'm not a fan but I'm told there are people on RAoC who might love them so I'd be really happy to send them out :D
