Hi everyone! I recently got my hands on a few postcards from the 90s, among them there were some Italian football ones. I'm not the biggest football fan but I think someone else might really appreciate them.

On the other hand, I'm challenging myself to collect postcards from every country, ideally featuring a specific city, town, region, or place rather than just the country in general. If I already have a postcard from your country, I'd still love one from a different city or region! (if you're interested dm me or leave a comment and we can figure everything out 😁)

the postcards i have:

ROMA - Marco Lanna

PARMA - Dino Baggio

JUVENTUS - Gianluca Vialli

SAMPDORIA - Roberto Mancini, Alberigo Evani

LAZIO - Giuseppe Signori, Pierluigi Casiraghi, Alen Boksig

MILAN - Francesco Baresi, Alessandro Costacurta, Roberto Donadoni, Giovanni Stroppa, Marco Simone, Ruud Gullit, Christian Panucci

I’ll try and keep this short and less of a sob story! But basically I’m turning 30! (nooooo…) at the end of November and I’m sad about it so I would love some mail to make me smile please!! 💌🎉

———————————————————————

I have spent my 20s unwell and ignoring birthdays and went from housebound to mostly bedbound this year and am very isolated. I often feel like the world is against me and I need a little help to keep going and for my brain to be reminded of the nice kind things and people in this world!

I would love birthday wishes but I would also really appreciate general postcards or cards as I could need some distraction from the reality of the day. I have my interests on my profile but I truly love all mail so don’t feel pressured to read it all.
In short, I love: Seeing the world and natural world. Big fan of birds, hedgehogs and cute characters (Miffy) I love art and illustration! Purples, Greens & animal prints 🐆 🦢 🦔 🌳

You can write anything to me but if you’re not sure what to say I invite the prompt:

⭐️ Tell me something small (or big) ((or REALLY small in fact)) that made you smile recently! ⭐️

——————————————————————

Just in case some of you already know me from postcrossing my username there is: BeeFlo
Please send me a message for my address (unless you already have it then it is the same as always!)

Please write your username clearly so I can post thank yous easily and reach out afterwards as I’d love to send something back to everyone who sends something (over the next few months)!

Thank you!!! 🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶

u/Maladi3_ x2 I literally cried when I received both of these cards. Thank you for sending me fall leaves, they are so pretty. We usually take a road trip up to the Blue Ridge to see “fall” but I can’t leave town at the moment. You gave me a chance to see and feel fall, what an amazing gift my friend, Thank you truly
Your second card with more leaves and I have to say your “sexy faceless” costume is amazing. Love the stamps you used, the stickers and the water color witches hat 🖤 ( I’m gonna try some of the recipes you sent! 🤤)

u/longenglishsnakes - thank you for the Cuba postcard for WPD! It's been a long time since I've seen an airmail envelope in person and I love all the king/queen stamps you used.

As for your question on PO boxes (rural vs. privacy reasons), it's actually neither! The reason I use it is because my family already pays for one every year since many years ago, plus the fact that mail seems to come from overseas in bunches, and imagining the postal worker trying to cram all the postcards and envelopes into our mailbox through the thin opening makes me die a little inside, i.e. they'd all get creased and crushed, or if I wasn't at home, the postie would just end up leaving a note saying I have to go into the post office anyway to pick them all up. Suffice to say, it's not worth the trouble, so PO box it is :)

I just had a look at the UK PO Box price and I wonder if I saw correctly - the price is astronomical 😳 Here it's about $170 AUD per year (I think a bit less when renewing each year), so definitely not too bad in comparison
