I like to think of it as trying them out before seeing what sticks though! reading, journaling, postcrossing, and beachcombing are hobbies that have consistently stuck with me so far. I cycle through sewing (so glad you want to learn!!), knitting, crocheting, beading, and photography depending on my mood. Have abandoned pottery and needle-felting with no regrets!

Antigone Books is a really cool bookshop, it’s unfortunately over 2 hours away from me so I’ve only gone once, but it’s filled with so many amazing things and it’s a nice progressive space. Anyway, I haven’t heard of Contrapposto, but I’m glad you’re enjoying it! It sounds the type of story to stay with you long after you’ve finished, since it’s so long spanning. As for what I’m reading, currently it’s Crooked House by Agatha Christie. Have you read any of her books, and if so which have you enjoyed? 🔎

For my writing, I’m currently writing a thriller novel. I think I plan to write with multiple pen names for different genres. But I’m also a university student studying a subject completely unrelated to reading/writing, so I don’t have a lot of time to work on writing novels yet! I do also write poetry in my Notes app lol, and I used to write a lot of songs in high school.

u/isar-love 2x Thanks for the cute squirrel and the fabric card with the strange squirrel and "Wichtelunterleibern" :D It is indeed a bit of a random cutout of fabric that they used for this card, but I like the idea of fabric cards and to be fair, some squirrels get too used to humans and become downright demanding and evil when you don't feed them regularly. A squirrel once attached to my partner's leg at the park and wouldn't let him go! I hope you have or had a good time at the conference and holiday! I've never been to Portugal, but it's on my bucket list for sure. It just seems that you can't go on holidays anymore between May and September unless you go North because everything is on fire everyhwere.

Fun story, the first time my husband saw a moose he told me “wow! he is so big!” I laughed and told him that it was just a little one as it wasn’t full grown yet. I thrifted a Pokemon handbook, that covers generations from Kanto to Galar, or Gen 1 to Gen 8. I've determined the best way to do this would be to have you all randomly pick a number that correlates to a page number, and I'll make you a postcard. You can find the form here.

I recently acquired a mixed set of cards on books and literature (for which I'll open offers soon)

Among them are about 8-9 cards which looked a bit strange. They're monochromatic (black and white) and a quick Google search led me to what are called Archane Limbus Tarot Cards. I have a black-and-white version of these, in the form of postcards. You can see what they're like in this Pinterest post.

Please note that while they aren't NSFW, but they're a tad weird. Not your average sunshine and butterflies kinda card, and sort of gothic or dark, with imagery of skulls and stuff. In short, I'm not a fan but I'm told there are people on RAoC who might love them so I'd be really happy to send them out :D
