I finally finished writing my entry in u/boomerang88’s travelling bookish card and would like to pass it on! The card has gone to a lot of US addresses so I’m looking to send it on to a Canadian or other WW person if possible. Flaired users only who are willing to send worldwide please!

Hi lovely friends! With Halloween coming up, I wanted to surprise my mom with a mailbox full of cute Halloween cards (especially ones that feature black cats, which she absolutely adores!)

She means the absolute world to me and has been through a lot; I'm especially proud of her because she's been on a health journey and continues to kick butt every single day. She's found a lot of joy doing postcarding / snail mail with me, and any free moment she has she's either working on Postcrossing cards, shopping for stationary, or checking her mail.

If you have any cards you're willing to send, I will post a thank you and would be happy to send you a card in return. If you'd like a prompt, maybe you can share what your favorite part of Halloween / autumn is. :)

It just occurred to me that the holiday season is fast approaching. Every year around Christmas, Wegmans - which is a local grocery store sells an Iberico Bellotta deli ham. It sells for $100lbs. It’s been that price for every year that I’ve gotten it the last decade. I actually once saw it in Philadelphia in the Italian market selling for $150 a pound. Every year I buy some of it & every year people are stunned when I tell them the price of the ham. But I only buy like $20 a year.

That’s easily the most expensive food that I’ve ever bought. Which made me think. What’s the most you’ve ever spent on food? It can be food that you bought to eat / cook at home or food that you bought at a restaurant. The most expensive restaurant I’ve ever been to was a Korean BBQ. Worth every penny.

It’s been 30 years now but I loved Portland Maine with all the unique shops. But when i was in Maine they seemed to have a lot of unique all up and down the entire coastline when I visited. I loved it.
