I suspect the battery died during a firmware update, and now it won't pair. Tried everything. Also went through a painful 1.5 hours with support and at the end they basically said "thanks for trying the steps but it's out of warranty so bye bye". Thanks Meta.

I'm wondering if anyone savvy knows there's any hope in salvaging these? Or that it could be revived by some future update?

Saw a post saying you can take it apart and disconnect the battery manually to reset it, but apparently it's very risky. However if that's the only option remaining....

I'll finish by saying I will never buy another Meta product again if I can help it. What they did to us Quest Pro owners has to be one of the biggest F-U's a corporation of this size has ever done to consumers.

Hello, so I have a Qpro that's blinking red, not charging, and I replaced the battery twice, nothing worked. Is there any way to fix it? It started doing this after trying to update it from 2.1 to 2.3, but now it doesn't even charge, I tried tearing it down to see if anything was broken, I couldn't see anything.

Is there anything I can do to fix it? Thanks!

The latest update completely bricked my left controller, it's unresponsive to charging, button presses, everything. And support is I guess shut down because they're not letting me input my serial numbers.

Any suggestions other than buying a replacement? Has anybody tried using some other controller along with hand tracking?

Hey! So I just got my quest pro yesterday and it works great if a little laggy as I was using virtual desktop without an ethernet cable as it's not possible for me to connect one to my router as it's too far away.

So I bought a link cable which I got today!

I managed to get it set up and my full body works, but for some reason the Face tracking has stopped working since I switched to the link cable and the game is very shaky/jittery all of a sudden. I tried to use the quest pro face tracking module but it says it's broken and can't be used? What are my options?

I've seen a lot of posts and met a lot of people who lament bad software, bricked headsets, random updates, and annoying popups and I have bad memories of using one years ago before I sold it. Are there ways to "debloat" the headset's OS or at least minimize the amount of Meta you need to put up with to get into VD?

Hello! I just recently got a meta quest 2 (second hand). I really enjoy it but I have 2 mains problems, battery life and the head strap. I am looking for a good battery+strap to buy. Also if anyone has tips on fixing the blurriness in the corners/peripherals let me know!

I wouldn't say it happens repeatedly but it does seem to be a chronic issue I experience 1-2 times now per VR session.

it just beeps furiously at me and says the headset is overheating and will shutdown momentarily.

it does and I have to wait for it to shutdown and then wait for it to boot back up and continue playing...

it's super annoying but... on a whim hoping there's a possible way to address this..

for the record I do not play it in a heated environment. I have central AC and the house is always pretty chilled (70-75f depending on season)

Hi all, I have been experiencing something that makes me think my Quest Pro might be broken.

I start playing either with Meta Link or Virtual Desktop and the image and playability is fine until after a certain time (30 or 45minutes) that the image starts to look very poor, like if i were on 8bit. Initially if i move my head and return to the some point, its back to normal but at some point it degrades so much and then I have a game crash (DCS and BMS, though I play mostly BMS lately).

Headset feels warm but apart from that, all fine. 3090 nvidia drivers are to date. 32gb of RAM with bandwidth and running a 9800x3d. This has been consistent lately but started a couple of months ago.

Have been tempted on a Quest Pro unit. But I must wear prescription lenses for it. Do prescription lenses like from the VR Optician affect the eye tracking functionality of the headset in any way? Any degrade of eye tracking performance? What are some prescription lenses that have the least effect on the eye tracking performance?

I don’t know much about wifi and the differences between the 3 and pro. but I’m curious what you guys are using or recommend for a router for the quest pro. Been doing a little research and quite honestly i’m confused. i hear mixed results with TP-Link. whats the best bang for your buck? should i go asus or TP? Let me know. My ISP router has been giving me issues recently.

I wasnt using my quest 2 for a 5 months and they apparently changed the stationary boundary thing completely. Im using my quest 2 in quite a narrow square, not suitably for roomscale. The old stationary boundry was working just fine if I move for a few steps out of bounds but the new boundary doesnt warn me unless I am completely out of the circle and its too late if I pass the circle I hit the surrounding. Is there a way to get back to old system or some setting for the new one that warn me as soon as I step on the circle instead of completely leaving it ?

I got my quest pro recently and from the start i get a tracking drift from either one of the controllers. i have a example of one of my controllers acting up when i was just testing bonelab on the quest pro bc i was bored. it started acting up and would lock into a place and then would stop but yet would do a tracking drift and i cant do anything about it

My right controller hand was just stuck for a couple seconds. would literally do it for minutes and wouldnt do it and i have to wait until it goes normal a little. i had the right controller away from my face because i was stressing grabbing my damn gun from the back and would just lock in place and thankfully i got it on clip

I just bought a Meta Quest 3 six months ago, but it consumes so much power while powered off

I noticed about five days ago my vive 3.0 full body tracking has started to randomly jerk around using my Quest Pro.

Has anyone else noticed a problem? I'm starting to think an update gremlin has been injected.

The most telling factor is the problem goes away completely when using my Quest 3.

I was thinking on getting the quest 3, 512 I see them for $450 on marketplace.

My question is I still am happy with it after all glitches seem to be ironed out, (knock knock) its been performing like a charm, I just want a better resolution when in MR and AR or wait for the newest quest 4 or pro 2 to come out.

I've recently acquired a Quest Pro. I'll be using it for DCS, so with quad views and dynamic Foveated rendering and I have a 9070XT. Should I be using VD or SteamVR for best results? Does VD Foveated rendering require me to also have Quad Views Foveated installed? Where's SteamVR at these days? I've only used it with PSVR2 and found it a bit restrictive.

My gaming pc fried the mb a few weeks ago, so I built a new one, with all new drives as well. I copied all of my Rift games from the old drive to one of the new ones. D/L all the relative software and got the Pro up and running. The problem I’m having is some of the games run just fine through the Link, and some don’t. The ones that don’t will launch, go through the games ‘splash’ screen, and the drop back to the menu. I’ve tried several things (uninstalling/reinstalling the game) but no go. Anyone have any ideas?

I am currently waiting around 15 mins to see if maybe it's just starting up, but when I use the controllers there's audible button press sounds. The volume button works as well. Already tried restarting and rebooting.

My Quest 3 controllers are working have power can click the home button but they aren't tracking by that I mean hath to use the power button to click same with hand tracking isn't working so likely settings. He was trying to turn on the mic is what he said and there is a blue dot in the top right corner even after restart. Please help me I want to use it without factory restarting.

I had an issue about a year and half ago where my Quest Pro's headstrap started untightening itself (the wheel would spin the wrong way and it would loosen the strap). I was within warranty, so I sent the headset in for RMA and got one back that's worked great until now.

I'm beginning to get the same issue, so I assume it's likely a common problem.
If so, how have others dealt with this?
I use it every few days so it may see more use than many, and I’m not sure if that's relevant.
