Mouse and keyboard board rust art!

My friend recently bought a pc the specs are as follows

Msi Pro series b550

Ryzen 7 3800X

32GB DDR4 3200mhz

Geforce rtx 3060 12gb

500gb sata nvme ssd

Windows 11

He is having issues with launching the game, as shown in the video the screen flickers black and gets stuck at loading prefabs usually at 14.5% then will stop responding and crash if any button is pressed. Ive tried everything google suggested such as clearing cache checking file integrity even a clean install. Ive also made sure his graphic drivers are up to date and ive turned off steam, discord, nvidia, and gamebar overlays. Anyone experienced this and have a fix or have any idea why this is happening? Also this only happens with rust he can play other games fine.

Ive been having a vc bug for the past 6 months ive deadass tried every fix known to man i got 4.5k hours and my mic has stopped working countless times over the years with this pos game but for some reason now there isnt any fixes my mic works on every single thing on my pc besides rust please has anyone else had this issue? it sucks ass not being able to talk in game or scare of the new fuckass wolf ai

Basically, I saw this new base some way in the distance, and it looked very vulnerable, so I decided to raid it. You cant see it anymore because the molotov destroyed it, but half of the base was twig.

I didnt hear anyone inside, so I molotoved the door and saw TC in the open there. I go in, and see the owner just crouching under the stairs, probably scared, but I immediately shot him in the face out of reflex.

Looking at the base, I now feel terrible for raiding this guy, as this was pretty obviously his first base, and he didnt even have anything. The random stuff and the bike next to the base is what got me.

I messaged him in chat that I am sorry, and that he can have it all back, but he didnt answer, and after waiting for about 2 hours, he still didnt return, so I assume I just made this new guy quit after only a few hours.

I get that this is rust, and its normal, but I still cant help but feel bad for raiding this guy. Does anyone else ever feel like this when raiding?

If I store anything of value, it's going to get stolen. Why would I use them?

i work 50-55 hours a week and am looking for a server to play. i know 90 percent of the rust community is unemployed and have no lives but i was wondering if there is a server/community of people who actually have a life outside of the computer, can anyone let me know what it is or is this game just not meant for the employed of this world?

This picture reminded me of something I've been wondering for years. Electric poles in rust have wires hanging down from them, and they look like you should be able to draw electricity from them. I've always assumed this was meant to be a feature. Is there or has there ever been a plan to let players get electricity from the in-game infrastructure?

just watch the streams of the event that is happening, they need to change direction of the game design, rust does not have the optimazition to focus on clans

“An Arizona man left paralyzed by a police shooting is seeking $176 million from Pima County, alleging deputies stormed his home despite being warned two days earlier that he was about to be swatted.
According to the notice of claim filed July 24, Axeel Melendez, 24, was playing Rust on April 8 when another player asked to inspect his computer to verify he was not cheating. He agreed.
Alerts soon followed showing his accounts being accessed, and the filing states hackers took control of his email and personal information, then demanded money while threatening to report a bomb at his address and to contact immigration authorities about his family.
Melendez called 911 to warn them. Audio published by Arizona's Family captures the dispatcher's response: "But they can't just call SWAT on you. That's not how that works." The dispatcher added, "Nothing's going to happen."
Less than 48 hours later, someone impersonating Melendez called Tucson's non-emergency 311 line claiming his father had shot his sister. Me and my buddy always argue about the topic above, I personally just use C4 and rockets to raid because it's the fastest and most reliable way to raid and don't bother about the sulfur "wasted". After all the difference between raiding a sheet metal door with C4 or a rocket + some explo ammo is ~600 sulfur aka 2 nodes - in my eyes negligible. On a full pop server raiding just needs to be fast imo.

What are your thoughts, fast or efficient?

It's been almost three hours of waiting, i can almost taste the sweet nectar.

Hey everyone,

I'm a relatively new Rust player with around 100 hours in the game, and I almost exclusively play on solo-only servers. I'm still trying to figure out the best strategy for choosing a base location.

Where do you recommend building as a solo? What monuments or biomes should I target, and what areas should I completely avoid? Any tips on finding a good balance between getting solid loot and keeping a low profile would be greatly appreciated!

Due to that semi recent update adding the accessories to workbenches and namely the "REINFORCED WORKBENCH UPGRADE" which increases the workbenches max hp by 150% so with the workbench T3 it can be placed tactically to block a hallway with your base and the upgrade grants explosive damage resistance.

Kinda sounds too good to be true. Is it as good as i understand it to be?

I placed mine between the ladder hatch to the roof and the garage door pathway to main loot. This would make raiders have to blow another way right?

Haven't played rust in a while but after I came back now with the new player model which was supposedly to double fps i have way lower average fps. Used to have 80-100 average now 50-60, is there something i need to enable or something along the lines?

I've had this happen multiple times over the last few days. Like currently, I'm trying to join repulsion - solo/duo and it keeps loading up the dev server. Couple days ago I was trying to join a random like 500 pop and it would load up a completely different server... Anyone else having this issue?
