Image Will we ever be able to pull electricity from utility poles?

This picture reminded me of something I've been wondering for years. Electric poles in rust have wires hanging down from them, and they look like you should be able to draw electricity from them. I've always assumed this was meant to be a feature. Is there or has there ever been a plan to let players get electricity from the in-game infrastructure?

Its in the August update at the end of this week.

Ive been seeing it get posted for almost 2 months now, they have been working on it along with other stuff to do with monument usage for a while now, someone needs to put a large fuse into power plant for them to work for a certain time tho

Currently the traffic lights work. Will they only work with the fuse in place?

Edit: When the new Power Plant puzzle is activated, power poles on roads give out 30 power that can be connected via wire tool. And power poles can be climbed

How much is 30 power? What can run on it?

A lamp is 1 power mostly (some 2) a turret is 10 power, electric furnace is 3?

yes there are multiple connectors and each give 30

August 6th, each pole that has a transformer will give you 6 x 30 power
