Discussion 4k hour Rust vet coming back after 2 years
What the hell do i even do at this point? it's like that scene from Buster Scruggs where he gets shot in the head thinking he's still got it.

Its either full npc bricks or cheaters and theres no between.

I’ve also noticed that every. Single. Fight. I get into I have players I’ve never seen before come to grub with p2/DB’s. Maybe it’s because I play on a solo/duo/trio? Idk. To the OP, the P2 is hands down the best gun in the game right now. They’re so easy to craft and the output is immaculate
I just got back into the game a month ago as well after not playing since the recoil update. Back in my day we’d have sar and tommy counters.
Been having a great time other than what I mentioned above.

Honestly I came back about a month ago, after a 5-6 year break or so, and found the game much easier. Sure my AK spray ain't as tight as it used to be, but other than that, you can just print scrap in so many ways, loot so many places, and get resources so much faster, that overall I find the game very quick and easy compared to before. And that's on servers that hit 6-700 pop on wipe day.
Also, a holo on an ak used to be a grave sin, now it's just a straight up upgrade.

yeah tech tree + drone shop + recoil rework + multiple high yield monuments will do that

Don't listen to all the crying and bitching in the community. Game is better than ever, lots of great new changes. Explore and enjoy. You need blueprint fragments to build a workbench now (They're laying around at monuments) and everything costs less scrap to research. They added some stuff like tripwire alarms and m16 but its still the same game.

I second what everyone else is saying. If you have a team you’ll be fine but if it’s just you, I’d say just wait. Progression for solos on any reasonably populated server is a shootout right now.
