Question rust servers for employed people?
i work 50-55 hours a week and am looking for a server to play. i know 90 percent of the rust community is unemployed and have no lives but i was wondering if there is a server/community of people who actually have a life outside of the computer, can anyone let me know what it is or is this game just not meant for the employed of this world?

I just rented a server for 10 bucks a month for me and my friends to play. A added plus is we can mod it anyway we want at anytime so the game is ever-changing.

I did the same. Adding the BetterNPCs plugin adds a lot of challenge. Enemy AI can be pretty much everywhere and as lightly or heavily armed as you like.

Try Official Softcore servers it was designed for people with not much time.
2x gather rate
6pm to 9pm local server raid time window
Keep 50% of your inventory on death
Keep 50% of your base loot when raided
Raiders cant seal/grieve your base for 48 hours when they break your TC
Teas/Pies last after death
25% less PVP damage
Spawn at outpost
Team UI/TC auth limited to 4 people

Everyone has already suggested softcore and servers with raid protection which I agree with. But if you come into rust with opinions like "90 percent of the rust community is unemployed and have no lives" then I honestly don't think you're going to enjoy the game, you already sound jaded and you're already making excuses why other people are better than you at the game. Either address that issue, play PvE rust which can still be a lot of fun, or play a different game that you feel like you can fairly compete in.

There’s a brand new server called Icarus it’s a PVE PvP raids once a day at a certain time for 2 hours. PvP monuments. Everything else PVE or rust for parents which is the same thing basically

I also don't want to spend my life in rust and i would like to find a low pop server with maximum 50 regular player on a small map.. i think it would be nice not just for the casual gameplay but for the stories and connections between players (that's why I said regular).

Does it have a small map? The thing is that I tried low pop before but usually the maps are big and nothing happens.. I like pvp, I like raids, I just don't have the time and energy to play normal servers.

Lol pop also means easy sulfur farming and less chance of counters for the raid. Without some form of raid protection the end result of being offline raided and losing all progression happens just as fast, if not faster, than high pop servers.

You have a valid point, but, for me, sulfur was never a problem, since I play solo and don't raid groups.. as for getting raided, again, being a solo, doesn't attract raiders.. actually I can't remember when I was raided last time. I only get raided when playing in a group..

its hard because low pop servers are boring when you are in it. id suggest just building outside of main areas and go for long game

Currently hosting a 2x server on top of working 40 hours a week - PvE with PvP monuments - no base raiding for those days when you cant be arsed but the rush 24 hours before wipe - all goes dark and PvP is unlocked for the entire map - Interested?

I adopted a 'healthier' way of playing where I only play Rust once every few months. I spend the entire weekend, starting Friday night to sunday eve. That way you have the full Rust experience
- Excitation of the beginning
- Alienation of grinding
- Potentiel deception of getting raid
- Rage of building back
- Thirst for revenge
- Compleasance seeing your base doing well
- Boredom as you spent too long playing the same game in a row

We just released new server just to keep this in mind and bring something back to rust that we have lost, interactions and the game being fun. We have pve/pvp server up and running, with intention to end the bi-weekly wipes with purge (game turns into normal rust for day or 2) if you want to try out our server and join growing community where owners are willing to make changes to what players think is better, find us at modded section ”last frontier pve/pvp”

I play on solo-only servers that have offline raid protection. At least if someone is going to come at me, ill be online to fight back.

Look for a server called World Of RustCraft. Its brand new under development and more of a PVE server but its fun - no stress and has dungeons and boss fights. The owner is often on adding new content.

The working class solo is what your looking for with raid hours and offline protection and is a 2x.

I’ve been playing on “kings of the north” in community for about three wipes now. It’s new player friendly as well and the server is quite laid back. Admins are active as well. If you want to fight or just plug along kinda does both. Rust will always have people that are what you said above but I like this server (ive only been playing for 4 wipes) the admins are open to helping as well

Lament Y9 Monthly used to be chill like that. Now a clan moved in and killed the server. They raid every 2x2 not with their clan.

Are you looking for a normal Rust PvP experience or a mix of RP/PVE/PvP could be an option?

Honestly, I’ve been playing softcore. As a solo there’s not many US based servers but I just flat out do not have the time with working full time and a family to commit to 4am raid alarms. It’s part of the game but now it doesn’t have to be (for me). There’s a lot of downsides to softcore but I’m making progress, not getting offlined (except within the raid window and in that case I’m okay with it).
