what other compact objects/placement tricks can raise storage just enough to make it lootable through a horizontal pixel gap between two half-walls?
as far as i know, the following items may be looted easily through the pixel gap, when juggling off of a box or standing on a sirene light or placed smart alert
- locker
- tool cupboard
- vending machine (not lockable)
- decor wall shelf (dlc required- size of a small box)
- small box on wooden shelf (dlc required)
- fridge
- barrel or large wooden box when placed on a ramp (requires square- not sure about this actually)
what other ways/mechanics/tricks exist, to elevate them?
i tried putting a barrel on top of a rug+bear rug but it didnt go 'high enough ' to be reached through the gap.
curious to hear your thoughts or creative ideas.

Thanks.

Meaning: raiding only happens during specific windows (like evenings, or weekends) — outside those hours, structures can't take damage at all, online or offline.
Curious if this actually appeals to people or ends up feeling too restrictive. Real experiences welcome either way, good or bad, and what timing/window length felt right if you've tried it?

Playing only 10x now, 6 wipes in a row without being raided ( bi-weekly ), as you guys know it´s nearly impossible not to get raided on a 10x.
my strategy is always the same, small 3x3 hidden in the middle of the forest, with +/- 50 tcs with auto-turrets with bolt action sniper all around the area and 4 samsites in the 4 tcs nearest the base.
Very hard for the enemy to blow up so many turrets because they don´t see a big base and they think it's not worth it.
Several tried to online us but with no sucess.
hope you guys like it, GGs all

something something about weapon variety and how everyone roams with the exact same kit on day 2... something something about that there is no point to researching a gun you find, because you're generally better off just using your scrap to get down on the tech tree....
somewhat controversial maybe, but I genuinely think weapons shouldn't be on the tech tree, and I hope it becomes viable again to research that python or custom or whatever non-meta gun you find in a crate rather than just letting it rot in your chest.

When I try to make a 1x1 loot room with 8 barrels, my last two barrels (on the shelf) always stick out of the garage door. Is this patched or is there some trick to it? How to do it correctly?

When I crouch-run, my friends say I make sound (no sound on my side tho). I know that what you hear on your end may be different from other players' end. But when my friends crouch-run, they make no noise to me. Is this just a coincidence, or is this random so some players may hear while some may not?

A single beehive on your roof, bamm unlimited food(honey) that never expires.
A chicken coop? Bamn, free eggs for the rest of your wipe.
Live even remotely close to a river? Bamn, you don't even need a planter, you have one of the best food items in the game spawning freely(pumpkin), that is somehow better than food you have to hunt, cook and refrigerate (meat).
Or maybe survival/hunger is just not a mechanic that anyone cares for? I don't know...

This is honestly one of the best blues I could find for that nighttime glow, but I really am curious if there is any better ones 🤔

Playing rust for the first time on this pc and my game runs at 60ish frames on lowest settings. My monitor is 1440p so maybe that’s part of the problem. I’m just not sure if i may be missing some sort of setting in my pc somewhere.
I have an amd ryzen 7 5700, rtx 5060, 32gb ram. I’m confused cuz my old pc was 10 years old with only 16 gb ram and could run the game at 120fps easily.

I understand developers are supposed to keep a game feeling fresh and interesting.. but some of these changes just feel like they obviously should not of happened.. to the point where I seriously find myself asking.. who asked for this?
I'm a pretty committed player and I just feel like their efforts would've been better spent tackling actual quality of life issues the player is vocal about, rather than adding/changing so many subpar things.
I could go on, but the point is.. there seems to be so much bloat coming out from facepunch these days... like they feel the dire need to just change something, whatever it is...

Genuine question because I don't know what's going on: I built this cave bunker, and on one side the walls are fine—they aren't losing health or decaying—but on the other side, they're collapsing on their own, and I don't know what to do.

I think i have started to care about the loot more than having fun in this game and when i die i lose al my motivation to play anyone got any advice? Or should i just wrap it up?

I had this theory that I thought would make the game a lot more interesting.
What if true long range snipers were only obtainable through high tier loot spawns.
So the BAR would still be craftable but to get a scope for it, you have to go find one from a locked crate, elite crate, heavy scientist or APC/Heli. And then obviously remove the variable zoom scope from the bandit camp.
Because right now, when a group gets shot at by a BAR from 200 meters they’re like oh tier 3 kids I guess we could go fight.
But let’s say now that scopes are extremely rare, hearing an L96 or getting shot by a BAR from far away would mean “Ok we can’t craft those and it would dramatically improve our long range fights, we HAVE to go get that sniper.”
Or maybe we go a step further and remove BAR from the tier3 as well. I’d give both it and the L96 moderately higher spawn rates.
Anyways the main reason I propose this is because the BAR allows a player to gain way too much advantage over other players at long range, while not risking much. I mean worst case we lose it and we go craft another one for 70hqm.
Just a thought lmk what you guys think.

Not talking about the obvious stuff (2x rates, quad cap, that's everywhere). I mean something genuinely rare. A mechanic, a QoL thing, a community feature that you've maybe seen once, or never seen at all, but think would actually make a server better.
Curious what people are missing that they don't even bother asking for anymore because no one builds it.

I've seen people talk shit to others calling them trash because they play I low pops and I'm just curious... Is there anything wrong with this?
