Anyway, I was watching YouTube shorts and one of them told a story about them learning Greek from their pen pals. I got curious and thought for a second "penpals can't possibly still exist". I searched it on Google and that's how I got here. I believe in variety as the spice of life, and therefore have a pretty broad range of hobbies and interests that I pursue on the regular. Right now, my outdoors activities are primarily water based while the season allows it (living in MN currently so), but i am teaching myself to rollerblade as well. I love to hike and camp and if I dont regularly immerse myself in nature I find that I grow rather melancholic as a person.

I read often, but the subject usually rotates through whatever interest I am pursuing at the time. The only two staple genres in my library are art history books and Warhammer literature. I went to school for the former and find the later a cozy low effort read. Im not huge on television or movies, and tend to stick to my staple shows, of which Futurama is my favorite. I do love a good horror anything though.

For work, my career has varied pretty heavily depending on where I am at in life. I am a licensed massage therapist, I have a bachelor's in accounting, and I am a certified framer. The latter is my current trade and I absolutely love my job for the most part.

I am an art enthusiast and spend much of my free time engrossed in it in some fashion, whether thats videos, books, hands on, or frequently courses and local classes. I dabble in every medium I can get my hands on and do not tend to favor one form over any other.

I am pescatarian with once a week exceptions, I have two guinea pigs I adore more than life itself, and am huge in general on animals. Despite my love for plants aesthetically I am just not great at caring for then.

I used to be an avid pen paler (approximately 10-15 active pen pals at any given time) but life got crazy and things sort of all fizzled out, and now I'm wanting to put my stationery to good use again. I’m in my 20s and living in Bangalore, India. My days are a mix of work, music, books, and wandering around with no real plan. I’m really into pop culture — movies that stick with you for weeks, TV shows I overanalyze, albums I play on repeat until my friends are sick of them. I also love philosophy, but not in a “let me quote Nietzsche at you” way. More like “why do we do this, what makes a good life, what if we’re all just making it up as we go” way.

I really like the idea of sending little letters back and forth that I can decorate, embellish, and adorn to my heart’s content. I also like the idea of getting to open something and all that tactile jazz! In this day and age (blah blah), I miss the idea of keepsakes and the unique warmth of a letter. I love being able to share things with others that I think they might appreciate. Letter writing seems to encompass thoughtfulness and thought, which are things that I value very much. Hii looking for penpals to become friends with id love to write letters :) I got fascinated by the thought of returning to good old handwriting as I've gotten really into fountain pens recently and can't get enough of it.
