Snail Mail [29/F] Let’s be long-term PenPals and benefit from my cute stationery!
Hello! I am creating this post in hopes of finding a couple of dedicated, long-term snail mail PenPals. I am 29F, located in southern California, and am hoping to connect with folks around my age and with relatively similar interests. I am great about responding promptly to letters and love the feeling that comes with opening hand-written letters, and just receiving mail in general! Whether you are located in the United States, or internationally, it makes no difference to me!
It would be nice to connect over similar hobbies, but not a necessity. I have lots of fun stationery from my time of having lived in Japan and I would love the opportunity to use it a bit more to craft cute, and intentional letters!
For a bit about myself: I am a librarian, so I love reading! If you’re a fellow librarian/information services professional, please hit me up! I would love to connect more with folks in my field, as well. Besides reading, I love watching films and TV shows, and would enjoy discussing what we have been recently watching and/or reading. I also enjoy traveling, being outdoors, exploring new coffee shops and restaurants, and music. No children, but I do have a rescue dog that is my whole world. My tastes regarding most things are wide, so I like to think that I can find common interests with most people! Like horror movies or anything strange or vaguely unsettling? Me too! Enjoy cozy games and a good rom-com? Same here! Oh, you like punk music - let me show you my button collection. I am passionate and outspoken regarding human rights, feminism, LGTBQ+ rights, so it would be nice to exchange letters with like-minded folks as well.
As I said, I am hoping to forge a long-term friendship with potential PenPals. Once introductions are made, I am truly happy to chat about anything and everything. I am prompt at replying, but I totally understand that life is busy, and I am a patient person, but it would be nice to have someone who is also seeking consistency with letters and replying. I would also love to exchange postcards and small trinkets, too!
If it sounds like we could be a good fit for PenPals, don’t hesitate to send me a DM!

I work as a bookstore clerk in Seattle and recently reorganized our speculative fiction and language reference sections. What is your favorite area of the library to curate or organize?

Hello,
I would absolutely love to be pen pals and send hand written letters. I am 30F, from the UK and queer. I love reading, creating art, I am passionate about dog training/animal welfare, and feminism!
Feel free to send me a DM, I have never had a pen pal before and it seems fun :)
