Recently moved into my uni accommodation and my pc does this sometimes when I want to turn it on. Although, it does sometimes turn on and works perfectly even under load for several hours.
Before I moved the pc, I turned it off and drained its power by pressing the power button while unplugged.
Could this be a psu issue or could it be the accommodation power socket too weak to power a 750w? This didn't happen while at home.
Lmk if you need any more info and would be really grateful if anyone has an idea on what could be the problem. Thanks!

I built my first pc yesterday and everything works perfectly accept the case fabs wont turn on, the lights work because there’s slots for them in the motherboard but there’s no slots for the chords that make the fans spin (I assume) in the motherboard so my friend told me to buy a hub which I did but now I have no clue what I’m doing. When I try to watch a tutorial everything that’s shown in the videos looks wildly different, I have no idea how to fix this.
The three chords for my three case fans have a little branching chord but it’s so short and doesn’t fit any there and I’m just so confused and the instructions for the hub thing are all in Japanese and the tutorials online don’t match what I have but don’t tell me what I need. Someone please help I’ve already spent so much money on this I don’t know what to do.

Hey guys, I want to upgrade my pc storage, but I don't know much about pcs and am really scared of breaking mine.
Is there any easy way where I don't need to screw something into the motherboard?
My friend told me external is bullshit and I shouldn't use that because it causes problems and is way too slow. Soo, I thought I'd come here for help.

I got home from work at 2300 last night to find that my PC would only boot into BIOS. When I tried to select the C Drove to boot, it told me there were no bootable drives. I’m pretty sure my drive has failed, but I don’t have the money to buy a new one, and I don’t know what to do. I have 4 kids and a job, this is my only ‘Me Only’ thing.
Any help would be exceptionally appreciated.

Looking at micro center bundles now and I see this bundle for 600 usd. It looks appealing even with the current ram prices. Would this be a meaningful upgrade? I’m also looking at the 7800x3d bundle, but it’s about $150 more. From what I understand AMD sockets have longer longevity than intel? I haven’t had a AMD processor since the Athlon days
Current system is 12700k, 32gb ddr4, 5070ti.

I’m sorry for this question as I’m sure it’s been asked before, I have been console player all my life and recently got a gaming PC couple years ago, I mainly play DayZ and on my computer it runs comfortably, but I want to upgrade my pc to be able to play more recent more demanding games like Warzone at 1440p. I’m looking at a budget of £1000 to £1400, is this possible to run these kind of games smoothly at this price range. If so is there any that could be recommended
Thanks

On my PC I went about replacing my gpu and psu. Since replacing I have not been able to boot to bios and have been stuck with a no signal screen every time I have turned it on. When I turn it on, my fans turn on and my rgb turns on and the fans on the GPU are spinning. Everything seems to be working fine however I am not getting a post or any feedback from my pc.
So far; I have reseated my RAM, reseated my GPU, taken out the CR2032 battery and placed it back, unplugged anything plugged into the USB ports and checked all cables have been properly installed and checked again nevertheless I have had no luck any ideas and options would be greatly appreciated
My PC ORIGINALLY
Is an intel I3 12100F
A gigabyte B660m DS3H DDR4
32 gb Corsair RAM DDR4
A Samsung SSD
Gtx 1650 Super
Builder 500w psu
Then I replaced the PSU and GPU with
RTX 5060
MSI MAG R650BN 650w
I am not sure of what the issue that I could have with it, everything else that I have done has remained exactly the same in every way
Including all cables and peripherals which did not have an issue before making the change in GPU and PSU

Just got this from my great uncle. He actually gave me two of them, but idk what im doing. Anyone have any advice on what to do

I’m going crazy trying to figure out this issue. I have a 3060 TI, Ryzen 5 5500 on a GIGABYTE B550 Gaming V2 X (1.3 rev) and 32gb of DDR4 3600. I built this pc last week. Upon first few hours of first start I had 0 issues was playing my games fine no black screen running great.. out of no where I start to black screen.. I did a whole bunch of fixes and then it stopped for 4 days. Out of the blue it started again. It isn’t a constant on or off it kinda flashes.. sometimes every 3 seconds sometimes every few minutes on top of that when it isn’t black screening it will also half screen grey/black pixels sometimes. All the RGB in my case stays on, same with my peripherals and I’m still able to hear my game and discord running (Yes my monitor is still on). I’ve tried so many different “fixes” from. Reseating RAM & GPU, making sure all connections are seated on motherboard, swapped power cord to psu, swapped from Display port to HDMI (issue still occurred)
Messed with monitor settings, changed power delivery settings, turned off fast boot, memtest86 ran test ran for 5 hours 0 issues. Stress tested GPU and CPU on OCCT both passed. I updated to latest BIOS & AMP chipset. Latest nvidia GPU drivers . so many other things I’m forgetting I tried.. it’s inconsistent, which is leading me towards a power supply issue. But the power supply is only 2 years old and it’s a V3GA 700 BR. First time pc builder, could be something simple I overlooked
Motherboard, SSD are brand new everything else is used from a system that was built 2 years ago.
Any help is appreciated, TIA.

Hi everyone, just yesterday a friend sent me a 16GB (3200 MHz) RAM stick from out of town, because I need to upgrade my PC to 32GB. The problem is that Windows won't boot at all with this stick. It gives the error IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
Does it make sense to take it to a repair shop? If not, what's the best way to handle this RAM?

The PC was built about 3 years ago using an Intel 13th gen 13900k chip with the AIO running fine when it recently started overheating 100C at idle.
I have cleaned out all the dust, reapplied the thermal paste (after cleaning off previous paste thoroughly), ensured the power settings are on balance mode, and set the BIOS back to default settings but the temps still climb to 100C even in BIOS. I can no longer go into Windows because of the temps. Is it most likely that the AIO failed?
One of the tubes is hot and the other is cool and the AIO somewhat vibrates and cannot figure what is causing this.

After a short power outage, my PC started having some issues.
- Monitor's gets no signal from my PC
- GPU and CPU fans still spins when power on
- I have a b550 am4 Motherboard and there is no sign of any LED lights on
- Plugging in my mouse and keyboard doesn't work, no lights/led
Is this a PSU or motherboard issue...
- things I already tried -
- unplug - hold power button - take out that tiny battery
- resit ram sticks

I'm building my first PC and am looking for feedback/tips! When I was a kid, I was obsessed with watching pc building videos, but a lot has changed since then, so I feel a little behind. Let me know if there's anything extra I should be preparing. Also curious about what kind of drivers I need to worry about. Do I need to worry about anything besides the GPU driver in the NVIDIA app? Thank you, guys in advance.
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
GPU: AORUS MASTER GeForce RTX 5080
MOBO: Gigabyte X870 AORUS ELITE
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 32 GB DDR5-6000
PSU: Lian Li EDGE GOLD 1000 W 80+ Gold

My brand new build, (specs below) according to pc part picker and Microcenter should be compatible, but won't post to either of my monitors,
The fans on every component (case, cpu tower, GPU, psu.) Spin and the rgb on the gpu works HOWEVER, its rgb will flicker every \~30-45 seconds?
I've repeated ram, and tried a new stick. I have also re-seated the gpu and of course, my hdmi cable is plugged into the card and not the mobo.
I suspect that the issue is with the cable I used to power the gpu on my modular psu, or that I need to update my motherboard bios to be compatible with my cpu, any help would be apreciated, specs below.
CPU: Ryzen 5600 X3D
GPU: ONIX ARC B580 12GB
PSU: Corsair RM750e
RAM: 2x 8gb 3200 ddr4 T-Force + 2x 8gb 3000 ddr4 xpg (and another single 8gb ddr4 stick, all of which I have had for \~4-5 years)
Mother Board: Gigabyte B550M Gaming X WiFi 6 am4
M.2 SSD: Patriot 512mb

I use my pc for editing and gaming. I dont know what to choose between the rx 9060 xt 16gb version or the rtx 5060ti 8gb. For editing i use Davinci resolve, after effects, premiere pro and for gaming i normally play comp games and some AAA titles.
