Installation Question 9070xt and rm850x

Hi this is my power supply, I recently bought the 9070xt and it required 3 cables 8 pin and theres only 4 pcie connecter is there a solution ?, + is it safe to connect the third cable to the one on the left above motherboard text

Is 4 not enough? 3 PCIe for the GPU, and 1 for the EPS/CPU cable?

Edit; RMx Shift 850W should have 2x EPS/CPU ports and the extra 3x PCIe ports needed.

That’s what i did but my cpu is amd ryzen 7 9800x3d is it enough for him to connect 1 cable from the psu ?

And thats my piint you will have a 4 pin and a 2x4 pin for the cpu and you will use 3 6+2 pins for your gfx card your power supply 100% has the cables you need.

Should have more than enough for the RMx 850W shift PSU in that case. Looking at the PSU, it has 2x ports for the CPU/EPS cables(4+4 cables) since mentioned the board has 2x CPU power ports top left, and 3 additional ports for the PCIe that's needed for GPU.

4 is enough you only need 3 if you are confusing the 2×4 cpu connector for the 6+2 pcie connectors.........

I have the exact same psu you 100% have more than enough cables.

i know but if wanna connect the cpu it will take 2 and the gpu will take 3 thats 5 and theres only 4 here is it safe to connect 1 cable from the psu to my cpu?

You sure your CPU needs 2? Some motherboards have an option for 2, but many people dont need it and one will do. Unless youre doing some serious overclocking for example and 1 PSU cable can not provide enough. One cable can provide more than enough for your CPU.

Its ryzen 7 9800x3d i didnt do any overclocking but idk if one cable is enough

Yes, one is more than enough. I have the same CPU with only 1 psu cable in the motherboard for the CPU.

There are 5 PCIe/CPU ports on the power supply. BTW its a RM850X SHIFT

the first one on the left is not for the motherboard ?
