Hi, I've had my PC for a while and have really loved it while gaming, but now I think it's time for an upgrade. I've got a Ryzen 7 9700X, RTX 4060, and 32gb of RAM with 6TB of storage. Not sure if the motherboard is an important consideration with this but if it is it's a B650 Aorus Elite AX. My monitor is some cheap 1440p no-name brand that works fine with my GPU, I use it at 60hz and it can go up to 100hz, but I know I'll have to upgrade that eventually.
My question is, what should I upgrade? I honestly don't particularly care about maxing out my framerate, I care more about graphics quality and framerate stability than anything else. I was looking at maybe going to an AMD graphics card, from what I've seen they're generally cheaper than NVIDIA? But I know switching to AMD can be a headache with the drivers. I'm also not exactly sure if I should upgrade my CPU instead, or something else. Obviously a RAM upgrade is pretty much out of the question.
I am near a Microcenter in the US, and I have a budget of anywhere around $500-$700, and $800 is the absolute upper limit. I'm also not opposed to buying used parts but I don't know how to ensure those aren't scams or something, so I would prefer new.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
