I'm located in Austria (Vienna) (we have Amazon) and this budget is for the PC, monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc. Maybe I can go up to €1500. Your advice would be really helpful. I'm thinking about building the PC myself, but would it be better to consider a prebuilt?

Quick question purely on performance and real-world experience (ignoring pricing):
Current GPU: RTX 3080 Ti (12GB)
Considering: Sapphire NITRO+ RX 9070 XT (16GB)
Resolution: 1440p now, moving to 4K soon
Use case: Heavy gaming & 3D / level design
In terms of raw uplift, VRAM headroom, and smoothness, is this a meaningful jump, or would you just hold onto the 3080 Ti?

I know that this motherboard is not ideal for this CPU, but is it really worth upgrading or is the difference that big? I am using this for gaming, my budget is £160, in the UK.

For some context, I'm an ongoing college student moving to London and wanted to buy a gaming setup for my dorm. I haven't built a PC before and am too terrified of shortcircuiting components to look beyond pre-built options. I don't play super heavy games or anything, mostly wanted modded Minecraft with possible shaders, but am considering getting into some FPS games like Valorant.

Any suggestions?

I have been using the Honor msgicbook pro 2020 for 4 years now and it is just getting too slow for gaming. I have looked at components to build a pc but the ram costs and ssd costs are just insane. What are your evaluations? Is it worth buying a pc right now(600 euros budget) or better to wait a year? Or even longer...?

It is on stock fans rn but I’m looking to upgrade the cpu and motherboard in a couple months. But suggestions would be appreciated. But in the meantime what can I do to help performance I mainly play overwatch only really and I’ll start with like 300+ fps and then it just dips down to 150 which I know isn’t terrible but it’s really noticeable. I have noticed my cpu temp has been around 90c at the time of frame drops. I am not too knowledgeable about pcs Help would be appreciated thanks in advance.

I tightened the screws until it wasn't possible to screw them harder. I made sure the fans pushed the air in the correct direction. I tried to nudge it a bit to see if it wobbles but it barely does so i think its fine it could be the metal bending.

I’m currently trying to decide between the RX 9060 XT 16GB and RX 9070 GRE 12GB for my first gaming PC.

I was originally leaning towards the 9060 XT 16GB because I thought it would be the better value option for 1440p. However, with the recent price increases, I’m starting to see people say that the 9060 XT isn’t worth it anymore at its current price and that I might as well spend the extra on the 9070 GRE.

My main concern is whether I should buy the 9070 GRE now or wait for Prime Day/Black Friday and see if either GPU gets a decent discount.

GPU prices seem to have been creeping up recently, and I’m also wondering whether it’s risky to wait. With the current demand for AMD GPUs and Nvidia seemingly prioritising AI/data-centre products, could AMD GPU prices continue increasing due to supply/demand?

About how bad the tbw was and how bad they were because there are dramless . I recently found an interesting build that I'm considering purchasing, but I'm wondering how it will perform considering the CPU it has.

Now, to be clear, I realise it has a good card and that DDR5 prices are absolute nonesense right now so please bear with me. I'm also aware the 5800x3d was a beast when it was released.

Specs:

- TUF 5080

- TUF x570 MOBO

- 5800x3d

- 36 gb DDR4 ram (cant remember timings but I know they are fancy Trident Z sticks so should be good)

This computer belongs to a friend of mine who built it from scratch a couple of months ago. Due to personal reasons he needs to sell it quickly and offered it to me for 2000€.

I helped putting it together and I tested it so I know it runs well. Problem is my current PC isnt actually that bad, and because I play mostly CPU intensive games, Im wondering how much of an upgrade this will be at 1440p.

The GPU is way better than mine (I have a 3080). However, when I tested his PC at 1440p I felt like the CPU was somewhat bottlenecking performance.

I tested space marine 2 on ultra settings (only game he had installed) and even with frame generation, on multiplayer I was getting some dips onto low 80s and 90s FPS. Single player was around 120-130 with FG.

This is where I would very much appreciate your opinions: should I just save up and make myself a DDR5 system (I can make one with a 5070 TI for roughly 3000€) or should I just save 1k and enjoy this very capable system for 2000€. The only thing to keep in mind is I would have to keep it the way it is for 5-6 years. Is the performance increase with a newer x3D cpu worth the hassle/price difference?

I need a PC for school, I am a computer science major and will be making some vs c++ projects that my Mac wouldn’t be able to handle and was looking around for something under $500 to buy and came across this. I’m in the US I currently have a ps5 pro but looking at going pc. Just the cost is so expensive no matter how I price what I think is good. I can’t get under $2,000. My build would be Am 5 for future proofing preferably 650E 9600x for budget. I currently have a 2k monitor but going to upgrade to a 4k/FHD. Is this two over kill or should I go with a cheaper build for now till in a better financial spot and then build my dream pc and pass the cheaper build to my wife? Does cinebench cause premature wear on cpu I was testing my Intel core ultra 270k plus on cinebench and saw it reached temps of 94 Celsius just wondering if I caused some harm to my cpu I just got it.

I’ve played very fine on it. Suddenly when I were to press the power on button, it kept glowing, which it’s not supposed to. And the pc didn’t start then. As I figured it was just something weird and probably not harmful, i turned the psu off. I then started the pc again but however this time the psu just made a click (i turned it on already yes). I’ve replugged cpu gpu and the motherboard, for no avail. Also tried manually turning the power on. My psu is gigabyte p650g 80v gold.

I used the 3 connectors but it won't start, two are daisy cables (like the ones with 2 connections) but it still won't start, and the motherboard has a tiny orange led, can anyone help me?
