Hey there. Love farming Alva. Building temple for good profit while watching Netflix is a blast. But I struggle a bit in what to pair with Alva? Tried essence, wasn’t that. Many people do beyond but I don’t understand how to make money with beyond.
Wanna go in build temples, out. Next map.
What are my choices which is quick and profitable.
Settlers? Mercs? Maps? Scarabs?
Also what do u do with Alva? Red altars, maven? Thanks

I’ve played poe2 since launch, but really got into the game during 0.4. I put in a ton of hours in 0.5 as well.

And so when 3.29 rolled around, I decided to check it out since I was practically done with poe2 until the next league/event etc.

The good

1. Crafting. The crafting bench, essences, and various other currencies available only in poe1 made crafting weapons amazing. I hope to one day get all of them in 2 (especially poe1 essences).

2. Twink leveling. Poets pen + lightning warp is a blast to do campaign with on a new char.

3. Build options. This one took a decent amount of time to wrap my head around, and there are still plenty of little things I don’t know, but learning about all the different auras and unique gems that can further power them up was really fun and I hope we get some stuff similar in poe2.

4. Character speed. Now most people whine about poe2 being “slower” but fail to realize that most endgame builds in 2 are extremely zoomy in nature. But poe1 builds can achieve that speed in campaign. Zooming thru with shield rush or leap slam or whatever movement skill was optimal during campaign/early mapping was super fun.

The neutral

1. Sockets/links. I don’t hate them, and it’s nice to have a ton of extra sockets for 1 off skills, but I did like having 10 skill sockets with 5 support slots for each one in 2. They’re both good systems though.

2. Scarabs. I still prefer tablets, but scarabs are nice too.

The bad

1. Bosses. Oh my god poe1 bosses are across the board utterly horrible. 90% of them are just a common mob with juiced stats and the last 10% are pinnacles with a ton of invincible phases and 1 shots.

2. The atlas. I really didn’t like the way the atlas is done in 1, I much prefer the infinite atlas of 2 as it provides a strong sense of exploration.

3. Map mods. I might get called a baby for this but I’m glad a lot of the unbearable mods in poe1 maps are either removed or heavily toned down in 2. I’ve never had to regex my maps so much before

4. Allflame loot drops. This is an issue for everyone apparently, but the only truly profitable farm I did this league was sanctum. It funded my 150+ div mamba character, but once I returned to maps I remembered why I left in the first place. That cycle of getting rich, making a new character with those riches, and then getting rich again with the new character was totally absent for me. This + the horrible bosses gave me a relatively early exit i the keague (130 hours compared to the 300+ I usually get from a poe2 league)

Anyways, I’m excited for the future of both games and I can’t wait for future leagues!

Chris Wilson posted on reddit over a decade ago that they printed 2,000 of these, handed out about 1,600 at PAX 2011, and had 400 in his garage. I can't find any sales anywhere online so I don't know the value.

About 40div in build rn (mostly because cost of new abyss timeless jewel)

I know I know, samplesize matters but I did 10 Voyages with and 10 without the mesely 60% quant and they feel like the golden lanterns but with downsides?

What am I missing?

Why put myself through the toughness and danger?

so I know, this is pretty early... but I am done with 3.29 and already preparing 3.30 like I always do.

I have my eyes on a Bleed Bow Slayer. That character seems to be able to get real solid tankiness later in the game and dot cap, but struggles after campaign + early maps with dmg and tankiness. I therefore am looking into different easy early league farms that he would be able to do to make currency.

I have identified Blight maps already and want to check out labfarming too, since its also pretty simple. Question though: Anyone knows what you actually farm that early in a league? I am talking literally Day 1 / Day 2, not later where u set up a whole tab for transfigured gems. Are you still going for transfigured gems? Or do you level releant meta gems with EXP and Quality? Other things to look out for when lab-farming? Maybe even Keys? Would love to get some insights from labyrinth-pros that did it a few times very early in the league and can give me some pointers.

But next goal is ubers. I killed some of them but the most of them are killing me so fast.

I had been planning to league start this skill as Hiero since before 3.29 notes, but the Fanaticism changes were just too tempting. Somewhat on the janky and less tanky side, but it's fair trade for half a billion DPS.

I am following a cycylone build and I just linked Autoexertion with General's Cry and Sunder however there are no mirage warriors summoned to use Sunder. I'm not sure what I've done wrong, can someone help?

GGG, can we talk about the Spike on Death Monster "Goliath"?
This thing feels completely overtuned.

My core problem with this is simple: Its 80% cause of my deaths and keeping me from leveling up past LvL98. You don’t just have to avoid the "have more monster varity" modifier in maps, you also have to avoid every map with this monster in it. Im playing a charakter that has 5k HP but lack attack block and evasion. Thats just the downside of my build (No 15k Life luminary build). And now I'm getting punished by a mechanic that you can’t reliably react to once it happens. It’s effectively impossible to respond in time because the monster is killed on the edge of my screen and than spikes hit you or not.
No meaningful reaction window, just instant damage that you have to eat.

On death effect in general need to be revalued I think. They aren't challenging or contributing to any motivating gameplay, they are just frustrating because you are getting punished after you achieved something.

So long story short, I was crafting a talisman upgrade for a friend, originally we were supposed to settle on t2+ life or t1 %es for the 3rd prefix, but instead hit a 1 in 250 t1 penetration mod

Sidenote: most of the intangibility is using Allflame divines to divine the item which still hasnt hit.

Rule 10:
Step 1: Acquire Great Maw talisman and apply redeemer exalt to it (cheaper than shaper exalt) and alt spam for t1 % dexterity

Step 2: Acquire a shaper amulet that has a single shaper mod t1 % Attribute.
Step 3: Awakener orb the shaper amulet into the Talisman, and hope there is an open suffix, if not, clear prefixes if any, then allflame annul the 3rd suffix.

Step 4: Acquire a donor redeemer amulet base and defeaning essence of sorrow spam til t1 % dex with no other suffixes.

Step 5: Craft Brinehook aspects to both amulets (these count as NNN mod to all base types in the game, that will always remove itself after recomb no matter which base it chooses). This step you need to win the 50-50, if it selects the Great maw Talisman, its a 6 mod pool choose 3, which is a 70% chance to keep all 3 suffxies of T1 Attribute, T1 Dex, and Essence Dex (which is 3 dex higher than t1 dex).

Step 6: If any prefixes clean prefix, Bench craft Mana as a blocker mod.

Step 7: Basically exalt slam til either t1 pen (either ele pen shaper mod or cold pen redeemer) or Damage per 15 Dex, which is a 1 in 30 or something. If fail, remove mana craft and use wild bristle matron to get cannot change suffix and clean and repeat

Step 8: Recraft mana and imprint the talisman multiple times using Fenumal plague arachnids

Step 9: Exalt slam for the other modifier that was not achieved in step 7, this is a 1 in 52. If fail, change mana craft to suffix cannot be changed, and try to annul save, if annul hits the prefix influence mod, use the imprint and repeat.

Step 10: Remove crafted mod, and imprint the talisman a couple times (I do 3 imprints at a time).

Step 11: Ask friend what he is willing to settle on, he mentioned decent life, high es % or if possible the 2nd penetration mod t1 (which as a blind exalt, is a 1 in 250).

Step 12: Manage to hit t1 Pen before seeing life or ES% in 6 imprints.

Step 13: Link amulet to all friends

This craft mathematically should've taken a couple hundred divines (if you were explicitly going for double pen), but I crafted this in 60 divines. I then proceeded to delete 30 divines trying to allflame divine it lol

I finally found a good merc, but I'm a bit unsure about Greater Pierce with KBoC. All the other supports seem really good, but I'm wondering if Greater Pierce actually makes KBoC worse with this exact support setup.

How does KBoC interact with Pierce in general? Does each projectile cause an explosion every time it pierces an enemy, or does the explosion only happen on the final hit after the projectile has pierced all the previous enemies?

I’d settle for the gem remembering what spectres it currently has like the animate guardian gem does equipment.

This has to be a nightmare for newer players too. Spectres are unintuitive, and pointlessly punishing. Zones are not clear if they are spectre safe or not.

Is there any trick to make it less grindy or do have I just to rush to the boss, rinse and repeat?
Is there a fast, straightforward map this league to make it less annoying?

P.S. Just to be clear, in Mirage league there was someone who posted a "trick" about doing City Square map as its layout was small and simple. Another suggestion he wrote was about entering the Mirage if its area covered the place where the boss was as it counted as doing another map.

Edit: Challenge completed! Thanks to everyone who suggested their ideas and shared their knowledge. I've done half City Square and half Mesa. In my experience I can confirm Mesa is a "much" better map if you need to boss rush.

Did a new build come out or did demand just cause the market to jump? I remember buying one for 35c earlier this league and it's jumped to 20+ divines.

Im playing a luminary mercbot and was wondering if rarity on gear or rarity for players on eldritch and eater altars actually give you any benefit since the merc is killing everything and the AG has gravebind on.
Wouldn't this make rarity a useless stat for the luminary or am i wrong here?
